Awful, absolutely awful.......2003-02-04

I bought this a few years back. It has no material of interest and is almost unlistenable. It sounds like it was recorded inside a washing machine. Avoid this one at all costs.

Great if you like to look at pictures........2000-06-24

This is a great CD if you like to see pictures of Pink Floyd, however, the the rest of the CD pretty much stinks. The interviews are very boring and if you buy this CD don't expect to learn anything new about Pink Floyd.

ALL ABOARD FOR 1964, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!.......2001-10-16

This is a real treat for inveterate Beatles fans. The light banter and the insights each Beatle had to offer is a timeless classic. Each Beatle brings his own individual and distinct style of input; each Beatle can be identified by his special brand of humor. John was known for his gift of natural expression and his tendency to throw out humorous non sequitors; George, succinct answers; Ringo, a steady beat of one liners with a hint of self deprecation and Paul the spokesman of sorts; the one who more often than not provides serious, well thought answers to questions.

Insanity is the only excuse to purchase this CD..........2001-06-05

Only a total lunatic could enjoy sitting through this disc...and the sound quality! Don't expect that this was recorded for anything other than the interviwer's personal use. And what's the deal with this being a picture disc? What CD doesn't have a picture on it? If it were vinyl they'd have something going but this is just stupid. About the only thing redeeming on this disc is the part where the thickly accented German interviewer (funny in itself) gets Ian going about his hair (Sonic Temple era long)...Ha, Ha, Ha. "...long hair...it's quite natural for a man really." I can just imagine him flipping his locks as he's saying this.

This interview disc is amazing and a MUST for any George Clooney fan. It's not new - he discusses The Peacemaker and One Fine Day, as well as the Papparazzi and his love of pranks. Who needs a music CD when you can sit back, relax, put on the headphones and listen to George talking all day long!!! It's like he's whispering in your ears!!!

You must buy this interview CD if you are a fan of George Clooney (and even if you are not). There's no music, just George being interviewed. George talks about "One Fine Day" and "The Peacemaker" as well as some of his practical jokes that he is so renowned for! It was such a joy to listen to! I highly recommend this CD!

Terrible.......2003-02-09

This is an interview with the who you are better without! The interviewer has a strange accent which is almost impossible to decipher. Roger and John are asked silly questions and get quite irritated. All this on top of terrible backgroud noise and the fact that (in certain points) the interviewer has the mike too close to the tape machine, and the tape machine is VERY noisy. Other sections are recorded in a car and a hotel lobby where the phone keeps ringing! If you want professional iterviews with the who, sitck to promos like 'filling in the gaps' or 'talking about quadrophenia' to get real quality and quantity.

This disc is pretty unofficial. It doesn't look fancy and the audio quality is not great (you can hear noise of traffic in the background and at times you can hear someone or something touching the microphone.) The recording is furthermore played in THE WRONG SPEED, causing Frank Zappa's voice to sound similar to what it probably sounded like when he was 20 years old (listen to the clips and you will notice that his familiar voice is too high in pitch) ...but he talks well and makes good and interesting points, and that is the bottom line with an interview disc, I'd suppose, so it's OK.
This recording has been transcribed and is available on the internet for those who like to read. I assume that only true FZ fans are getting this disc, and they are the ones who should, as people who might not be familiar with all the genres within the one big genre that is FZ probably won't be able to appreciate the content of this interview as well. He talks mainly about the 1984 band, touring, performing, guitar playing, composing and common complications and factors thereof. Those who don't know how good a spokesman FZ was will probably be surprised.

I have enjoyed the work of Frank Zappa since the 1960's. I particularly enjoy listening to this and other interviews. Interviews always produce some insights not found in the various biographies (about seven). For example, Zappa discusses many technical details of his music. In fact, without a musical background (including music history) much of the discussion might be incomprehensible. I shared this CD with a rock/jazz organist who was familiar with Zappa's work, but not as familiar as I am. He was duly impressed with Zappa's musical knowledge. I wasn't at all surprised. My friend was delighted with the discussions. It was good to hear Zappa's voice.

Bottom line: If you like Zappa, you'll love this CD.

Good to hear his voice and attitude, got to love him!
