El chiste de moderatto.......2006-02-01

Parece que ésta "banda" esta levantando ampollas por doquier. Y hasta cierto punto hay razones para ello. Sin embargo lo que muchos fans dejan de ver es que Moderatto no hace exactamente rock sino una parodia del glam rock de los 80s, muy al estilo de los ingleses "The darkness". Su gracia no está en componer (casi toda su porduccion es de covers) ni en tocar con virtuosismo, sino más bien en pararse en un esenario y montar un circo ochentero. El riesgo está en creer que son rockeros, rebeldes y contestatarios; nada mas lejano, sólo les falta cantar canciones de Chavelo o los Temerarios. Digo, ¿un dueto con Belinda y rolas de Timbiriche?¿comerciales de doritos? ¿villancicos? ¿Rock, en serio? iPor favor!

Moderatto Rocks!!!.......2006-01-08

La verdad, me encanta moderatto. Al principio dudaba del grupo. Pensaba que eran muy falsos. Pero, solo toma escuchar palabra de honor, quemandome de amor, capitan y no podras para darse cuenta que el grupo sabe lo que hace. Tienen un poco de todas las bandas del rock de los 70s y 80s. Se ven y cantan un poco como Aerosmith, the Rolling Stones, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister y Quiet Riot. A mi me recuerdan mucho a Guns N Roses, pero en espanol. Apoco Bryan no se ve como Axl Rose de GNR!? Un poco no? Tienen el look de cualquier banda de la era de "80's Hairmetal." La cancion que me encanta es la de capitan, la cual tiene el sonido de "Walk This Way" de Aerosmith. Esta muy beno este cd, y la verdad se lo recomiendo a todo aquel que le guste buena musica.

Si bien el regreso de fobia, a pasado sin pena ni gloria, yo creo que en gran parte es al exito tan inesperado que moderatto ha tenido, y no quiero decir que fobia sea una simple banda, sino todo lo contrario, fobia fue un pilar bastante importante dentro del rock en espanol de los 90's pero si creo que el gran error de fobia fue haberse despedido en la cumbre de su exito lamentablemente, bueno regresando a moderatto, un album mas de covers, pero de una calidad bastante buena, haciendo todas estas canciones mucho mas interesantes como: QUEMANDOME DE AMOR, NO PODRAS(christian castro)MURIENDO LENTO(timbiriche)PALABRA DE HONOR(luis miguel)VIVIR DE NOCHE(tucanes de tijuana)PACTO ENTRE LOS DOS(thalia) en fin una excelente seleccion de temas, que la verdad los hace bastante interesantes y muy buenos bien por los integrantes de moderatto,y que se escuche EL DETECTOR DE METAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I randomly bought this CD on a vacation trip to Mexico. Now in Sweden, I have to say this is some of the best music I have heard in many years, but you have to get the hang of it, it has a very catchy humor to it, because in a way they use the glam to make it a little funny on purpose, but they do it in a very professional way. To my understanding most of these songs are covers, but I am sure they all beat the originals. The way they have made this music is absolutely very creative. I look forward to more material from these guys, their music is apt for listening in the car, at parties, or just relaxing at home. I specially recommend the songs: "Reventon" which is very catchy and wild, "Quemandome de amor" glamishly powerful, "Muriendo lento" more of a 90's rock tune...with female vocals, "No podras" a more mellow but fun song, and "Capitan" which covers the clasic rhythm of Aerosmith's "Walk this way" but with the lyrics of another 80's mexican group. As for the rest of the songs, I am glad they are on this album. Likes of any musical genre will enjoy this CD. Defenitelly a 10!

Moderatto is one of the greatest Rock bands in Mexico right now. Frontman Bryan Amadeus (his real name is Jay de la Cueva) was the bassist for a late 80's Rock band called MicroChips. Jay de la Cueva is arguably the best bass player in Mexico.
