We proved them wrong. 3/5 stars.......2007-02-13
Now I know some people were turned off by this album which im not really surprised and I admit it too prong could have been a little more heavier than this. Tommy victors guitar work was pretty good but he should play with more speed and they should get a second guitarist no wonder they play so lite and atleast have a 4th band member to make the band alot better. They are pretty talented and not really mediocre but they are just not trying their best which me and alot of people think they can do alot better than this. I don't really hate this band they are one of my favorite bands but I had to admit this is not their best. One of my favorite songs PROVE YOU WRONG/UNCONDITIONAL.
VICTOR INC.......2006-02-28
Prong ARE and were one of the most underrated and inspiring bands in the metal scene. Helmet was ALWAYS over-regarded and cant hold a candle to Prong. Tommy Victor remains an inspiration, and all of Prongs releases should be viewed as stepping stones...Nuff said!HAIL PRONG! Try Scorpio Rising! Great CD!
A let down after Beg To Differ.......2006-02-25
This album in my opinion has a few good songs; Irrelevant Thoughts, Unconditional, Prove You Wrong and Get a Grip (on Yourself) other than that this album is crap.
Prong Continues To Build On...4.5 stars.......2005-11-09
Prong improved greatly from the still impressive FORCE FED to the great thrash of BEG TO DIFFER. When PROVE YOU WRONG was released, one thing was clear...Prong was still on to something great. Over the course of WRONG's 13 songs, Prong pack a concise punch with their simplistic but strong riffs courtesy of Tommy Victor, excellent bassplaying from Troy Gregory, and the phenomenal drumming of Ted Parsons.
The title track and "Unconditional" are some of the best material Prong has churned out, and over the course of the album, "Torn Between", "No Way To Deny It", and "Pointless" are immensely satisfying, intense bursts of hardcore metal. Prong can play with fierce devotion, but never to the point of self-parody like some of their contemporaries might have done.
PROVE YOU WRONG is another bold step for Prong, another important album in their impressive catalog. You can't go wrong with the songs found here, and Prong would only get better with their subsequent releases CLEANSING and RUDE AWAKENING. No Prong completist should be without PROVE YOU WRONG.
One of Prong's weakest records.......2004-08-27
To me, this will always be "That album that was released on the same day as Nevermind by Nirvana". If you don't have any Prong records, I recommend just about any of them before this one. Well, except for Scorpio. That one's even worse than this. If you've really got your dander up, find copies of Primitive Origins and Force Fed and just leave it at that.

Too cool for some.......2005-02-22
Julianne Baird is breathtakingly good at what she does: intelligent, stylistically convincing, technically brilliant ornamentation, in a sweet, phenomenally accurate voice. I love it. Those not accustomed to this sort of thing, though, may find it lacking emotional immediacy. Consider also Kathleen Battle with some of the same material: not that she's better, but the appeal is more directly sensual rather than intellectual.
Ethereal and Hauntingly Beautiful.......2003-11-05
How could you go wrong with the clear seraph voice of Julianne Baird accompanied by the delicate skill of Ronn McFarlane on the Lute. Not only is the talent exceptional but the composed works of Lute music divine.
You listen to each song and are carried away to time/place devoid of any worry let alone any task other than to listen to Julianne and Ronn execute perfection. You truely feel part of the Elizabethan Court listening to this CD it is both beautiful and dark simutaneously.
Another fabulous feature to this CD is the simplicity of the recording of only lute and vocals with no special effects. To retain the warmth and purity of the composition it was recorded on location in 'The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall' in Upstate New York and is one of the finest acoustical settings in the world. Unlike modern pop music Lute music as written needs no manipulation or adjustment in the studio if executed by skilled artists and musicians in an acoustical atmosphere and this recording does exactly that.
I highly recommend this CD of beautiful music. It truely will evoke deep feeling and emotion.
