[edit]ing awesome.......2001-10-01
This [edit] brings back all of the old school thrash [edit]. This band brings back the type of black/death metal that the likes of Slayer perfected. These guys pull this [edit] off nicely. But a word of warning, if you only like the "main-stream" metal (i.e. post Life is Peachy KoRn and Limp Bizkit) this one isn't for you. This gets my seal.

A crushing mix of old and new style black metal.......2000-10-15
Whether you like classic black/power metal bands like Venom, Bathory, Iron Maiden & Judas Priest, or newer bands like Cradle Of Filth, Emperor and Immortal, I feel there is something here for each of those fans. My person favorites are "Satan's Claw" with a classic double guitar dual in the middle, "Blood On The Altar" which is classic thrash all the way, and "Demondawn" with plenty of classic hard driving riffs. The modern raw black metal fans will appriciate "Hellcult Attack" which is a blast of pure speed and unrelenting fury, which is representative of the whole album along with many melodic traces as I mentioned before. One of my favorite parts is the blues/jam breakown at the end of "Sacrificed To Satan" which makes me grin everytime I hear it as it is so unlike anthing else on the album. Metal purists will love this album as I did, but fans of laMeTV metal like Korn, Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, etc. shouldn't bother as there is just too much going on here, as with most of the music of black metal bands.
