EWWWWWWWW...DON'T EVEN GO THERE.......2006-12-16
There are not enough "good songs" on this CD to warrant a purchase. Besides, the 80s were not really a time of "hard rock classics"...oh, sure, there were a few, but the 80s was dominated by androgynous "synth" players...it really was a crappy time for music. Of course, there was the Police, and the Pretenders, Blue Oyster Cult, and Ozzy, but I'm sorry, those "Hair Bands"...gross...and even Van Halen fizzled. You could say, "But John, whadda about '1984'?" What about it? It wasn't a "Diver Down" or a "Women and Children First" or even "Van Halen" (the incredible 1978 debut album)...no, 80s music stunk for the most part.
I think the saddest song on this whole album was "Lick It Up"...you lick it up, you did it...I used to have Kiss posters on my walls, man...I used to dress up like Gene Simmons for Halloween. That song just made me ill. Just thinking about...ewww...I just don't want to go there.
So, please...save your money. All you kiddies who are going "retro" and thinking that the 80s put out some good stuff, save your money or if you have to spend some money, buy anything by Led Zeppelin, the Doors, or the Alman Brothers and you'll be spending wisely and have music that will outlast whatever phase you are currently into.

I didn't think that Amazon had this cd for sale but when I say they did I was very excited. It has some really great hard rock songs from the eighties that will always be remembered.
