Customer Reviews:
Good companion for Battlestar Fans.......2007-05-07
If you're a Battlestar Galatica Fan, this audio is an excellent companion to your collection. Passacaglia, Forgiven, and The Shape of Things to Come are emotional and addictive orchestral soundtracks. Not every song from the first season is included in this CD. The opening credit songs for the UK and the US versions and the battle songs (The Thousandth Landing, Battle on the Asteroid) are included. Battlestar Muzaktica is quite odd and doesn't fit with the collection of songs.
Captures the feel of the show.......2007-04-11
Has a great selection of songs from the 1st season. I like show/movie CDs that you can picture the scenes and emotion of the actors when you hear the song. The Celtic underlays are great, and the Taiko drumming style is very well used for building intensity in the music. If you really like the series, you should probably really enjoy the music as well!
Awesome Soundtrack.......2007-04-11
If you like the music in a scene that just blends in and makes the scene even more emotional or suspenseful, that is what the scores from season one do on this cd. I initially bought it to for the prologue (cylon music) and the two main titles (U.S. and U.K.) but after listening to the entire cd, I have become completely addicted to it. The titles of the scores usually give you a hint of the scene and the liner notes also tell you the episode that they are from but the soundtrack has definitely made rewatching season one an even more intriguing experience. The scores with words, are written by Bear and are in various languages, but the words, especially the opera piece, are actually so dead one with the scene and in this specific scene hilarious. I love this soundtrack. If you are someone who is addicted to really grasping everything that happens in this show and watch and analyze it beyond face value, this is an added bonus to have in your collection. I highly recommend it!!!
BSG.......2007-04-10
Man I love the Classic and the Present BSG's So Inaturally find the SoundTrack/Score A joy and very relaxing. They tend to sound very similar but they are very diffrent.
Agree with everyone else.......2007-03-28
There have been lots of raving reviews of this album, as well as the equally sensational season 2 soundtrack. I just wanted to add my opinion on one track, "Destiny". An earlier review describes an Arabic string instrument being used, but it is actually a biwa, a traditional Japanese instrument that has such a distinct sound that it's hard to imagine it being used for anything other than traditional gagaku music. I don't know if anyone but McCreary has ever tried to use this instrument for something else, but it hardly matters. The fact that McCreary managed to use it so effectively in a piece that is so different from gagaku music is a perfect testament to his unique genius. I'm really looking forward to following McCreary's career.

Album Description
Sanctity's debut album Road to Bloodshed is a blistering blend of technical thrash and old-school metal powered by attitude and grit. Filled with steely, staccato guitars, trampling beats and roaring vocals, the songs marry complex arrangements and musicianship with granite-heavy grooves and unforgettable hooks.

I bought this cd not knowing what to expect, never heard of these guys. I think its pretty good. A little soft for me so i gave it 4 stars.
Great debut!!!.......2007-07-29
After hearing a excerpt from these guys CD at Ozzfest I was intrigued. So upon returning home from the show I couldn't believe Amazon had their CD for so cheap so what was I to do.... I bought it. If Trivium's latest CD had a little brother Sanctity's "Road to bloodshed" is it. I love the new Trivium, back to good ole' classic hard metal and these guys show great strength in the same field. Great find and can't beat the price for this CD!
A little disapointed.......2007-05-10
This wasen't quit what I thought it would be, but it is an ok listen.
Trendy, but not.......2007-04-30
I saw Sanctity on Gigantour last year, remembered I liked them, but forgot why in the time while I waited for their first CD to actually come out.
It's basically a cross between a good Swedecore band (Unearth, Trivium, etc.), maybe a little bit of Avenged Sevenfold, and a lot of Testament. And maybe something else I haven't identified, yet. In any case, it's very cool.
Thrash metal, North Carolina-style .......2007-04-26
After viewing their first music video Zeppo a year ago, there was no question that there'd be a lot of buzz about Sanctity. A year and several shows later touring with Trivium, Black Label Society, Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Arch Enemy, Into Eternity, Opeth and many others, their debut album is finally out. First off, I gotta say that this cd breathes old school thrash in the same vein as Anthrax, Megadeth, and Testament. Not that there is anything wrong with Trivium's last album The Crusade (I liked it), but this may be for some of those that felt disappointed. There's a lot to like about this record. Nothing real fancy. Just skull-crushing metal.

Customer Reviews:
Jesus loves G G!.......2006-09-01
This masterpiece should be required listening at all Sunday morning church services. G G was a true exponent of all that lies at the heart of America - lies, greed, stupidity, hatred and violence. He should have been made president.
A beautiful cd, by josh drunk d........2006-03-16
If you like slow love making songs then get this one for a loved one
Great fun for the whole family!.......2005-11-23
A perfect stocking-stuffer for all the loved ones on your list. Good ole GG will shock, offend, nauseate, but will never be anything less than entertaining! (Of course, having a broad definition of "entertainment" helps.) Pick up some early Jandek for the perfect one-two family-friendly punch!
About as bad as bad can get........2005-06-12
This is truly a masterpiece in demonstrating how not to write music. Hmmm...to even suggest that it was written is too much of a compliment. Let's say it was sort of mashed together; everyone playing their own thing while G.G. screamed whatever came to mind. And given how little of his mind was even functioning, the fact that he could talk was a miracle. This is not punk rock. Do your self a favor and pass on the entire G.G. collection.
The Best damn GG Allin recording EVER.......2004-09-30
This was GG's best and final album, and he actually died shortly before it was released to consumers. but at least he left us with this! If anything ever good came from his sorry discrace of a life to mankinds existance this was it. Every thing he recorded before this wasn't anywhere near as good as this, and if he had lived a little longer, theres no way he could have topped it. it was a miricale that this was ever recorded.
The only thing that sucks (really really sucks) is you will probably never get a chance to own it, let alone hear it. its completly out of print, and the remaining copys out there are scarce. if you can get it used buy it, buy it buy it, cause you'll never see it again after.

Customer Reviews:
This is an underground classic in the making!.......2006-04-30
Frightmare `Bringing back the Bloodshed'
Beginning with the infamous Vestron Video introduction Frightmare enthusiastically prove that their hearts are on their sleeves. It doesn't take much imagination to work out where the band sit in the Death Metal pantheon but sonically the band give birth to an amalgam of 80's thrash influences fused to the up to the minute Death\Grind tactics of today to create a demented monstrosity that can best be summarised in their own words as `Stalk and Slash Grind'.
Exhuming the oft used corpses of classic 80's Slasher flicks for lyrical inspiration the band eschew the formula of bands like Mortician that briefly summarise the horrific highlights, the 5-8 minute epic's that Frightmare serve up give you the complete story replete with blast beats and solo's. Subjects dissected range from Friday the 13th Part 2 to Last House on Dead End street (and these are amongst the best tracks on an album which is all killer, no filler) and as a special bonus a crushing version of Laaz Rockit's `Leatherface' which forced me to drag out my battered DVD copy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 for yet another viewing. The band displays a great deal of maturity between this release and their debut and injects a huge slab of individuality and personality into the proceedings. For those looking for something different to the usual US Death Metal take on things should make this mandatory listening.

Good, but they have done better........2007-02-25
Krisiun's "Bloodshed," while pretty damn good, is lacking compared to their other albums. With the exception of "Hateful Nature" and "Visions Beyond," Moyses sounds like he's not even trying to play his signature guitar solos in most of the songs, and the lyrics are kinda mediocre. However, even with these problems, there enough "kick-arse" in this mini-album to be worthy of a listen. And with the inclusion of the "Unmerciful Order" MCD makes this even better to hear Krisiun back to the early 90's and for a fledgling band in a poor country, they sound very good on UO.
Get this if you're already a Krisiun fan. If you're new to the band, I say start off with "Conquerors of Armageddon," "Works of Carnage," and "AssassiNation."
The other reviewers must be deff..........2006-12-25
THis band was amazing on "conquerors of armageddon", one of the best death metal releases ever. Bloodshed is Krisiun totaly out of ideas. Just listen to any of the riffs or solos here, they are generic and to week to lift a dime. THis album is Krisiun minus good riffs. Their super fast thrashy death riffs and blasting and nihilistic vocals and blasting made me love this band. THis album has the blasting but no formula besides chug riffs and other atmospheric noise riffs wich dont go anywhere. The solos sound like they were slapped onto the tracks in like 2 seconds after they were done recording. THis album has no heart, no formula, no nothing but generic mallcore "chuga chuga blast sounds", yea krisiun are gonna do blasting and make noise with their guitars(they are krisiun)but just listen to any Krisiun before this and youll see whaT I MEEN. The ultra sonic sounding bass drums and snare doesn't help much eighter it makes the whole thing even worse, listen to the album "Ageless Venemous" that had ultra rigged drum sounds too(wich i hate) but it made up for it with its GOOD RIFFS!!!!! I give this cd 2 stars for the unmerciful order ep at the end. That is all this cd is worth if you dont already own the ep. Otherwise if your looking for some good material by this band, try "conquerors of armagedon" or anything before this. Dont get me wrong I like Krisiun, I just think if they keep doing this in future albums I wont be a fan anymore. And to the people that say this is so inhumanly fast this is slow as *turtles* compaired to other krisiun albums. If you want a new band because you feel let down by krisiun's newer works check out REBAELLIUN, they are 10 times faster and more talented than krisiun. They play death metal in the same veign, they are also brazilian but they are 10000 times more talented.
A band that plays extremely fast..........2005-04-21
Krisiun is without a question on my mind... One of the fastest beathmetal bands yet and trust me, i've listing to many dm acts but these guys are truly f*cking fast. Krisiun's " bloodshed" is worth picking up.
this is way faster than their century media debut........2005-03-08
krisiun's new album makes their century media debut "conquerors of armageddon" seem a little slow. it was fast, but "bloodshed" is a little faster and has more razor-edged riffs. this new album has 3 instrumentals, but don't expect them to be at you and your date's table playing a love song. this band doesn't kiss rear end, it kicks it.

tragicly underappreciated.......2002-02-08
bloodshed managed to create one of the most incredible, passionate and real albums of all time, then tragicly broke up before the entire world could witness their glory. i remeber hearing a track of theirs on a tooth and nail compilation, being amazed, and immediatly running out to go buy their album.
initially i was disapointed that thier release was only an ep, but quickly appreciated the their decision. Bloodshed do justice to the ep format (possibly prefering it, since their second release, and sadly, last release, was also an ep) by compiling 5 songs together that flow into a compact display of raw, youthful emotion.
Bloodshed's sound is a mixture of indie rock harmony that explodes into new school hardcore. created while all the members were still teenagers, the ep explodes with youthfull passion and ingeniuty. "the scarlett letter" opens the ep slowly with clean guitars before bursting into brutal hardcore, "tabletop" is a picture of a young man's yearning to be closer to God, and "outside" (the only track without printed lyrics) begins with savage, grinding guitars and ends in a catchy groove. the self titled ep ends with "last breath", which, like the opening track, begins slowly until it builds into a wall of emotion.
the standout track on the album is "martha", (which according to the band, the lyrics where "written by a child named Martha during WWII") is also the most creative, switching from hard to soft, accenting the heartbreaking lyrics of a young girl focusing on her strength while surrounded by tragic circumstances. while every song on the ep uses both hard and soft elements, this one does so both the most artisticly and with the most emotional delivery.
Bloodshed's greatest tragedy is that they broke up. featuring unbridaled passion and youthfull aggression, these young men created an album that is the epidemy of emo-core. artistic, musicly creative, and passionate, the greatest tragedy is that they broke up. i remember buying this ep when i was in high school and being amazed. hearing such an incredible album from other high schoolers ...they hit the exact chord of emotion they aim for.
i could give this album no greater recomendation. for anyone interested in emo or hardcore, you owe it to yourself to hear this ep. many bands attempt, and miss, the level of emotion and yearning that bloodshed has touched.
(sean stopnick, the guitarist, now plays in stairwell, and was a member of the now defunct band innermeans, another underated hardcore tooth and nail band)
Emocore rulz.......2000-01-08

This is a great album.......1999-10-21
These guys were great. They didn't last too long, but hopefully their music will live on. I wish alot more Emo bands would try to mix hardcore in at an equal part and get the same sound. I have been a big fan of the band so if anyone has any info on what the members are doing please email me Loboduc7@aol.com
Emotionally intense........1999-08-21
Bloodshed combines the best of both emo and hardcore. Fans of both or either will love this short CD. The only downside is that it is so short!

Solus plays deathmetal for true listiners of this genre and only true metalheads, will apreciate this masterpiece. Posers? Dont bother! Real metalheads? Enjoy!
Great Metal Album....and amazing website!!.......2001-09-14
Call me biased, but of all the metal music we distribute, SOLUS rank very high on my list. Mostly because of their originality and perserverance....
SOLUS puts out killer metal album!.......2000-04-19
I saw these guys live at the Milwaukee Metal Festival in '98. I had never heard of them before but after their show I sourced out some of their recordings. I finally got Universal Bloodshed and was totally blown away. This band nows how to combine the essential elements of deathmetal with a new and totally unique style. I was amazed! From the artwork and subsequent concept of the album, this recording is a first class effort. Totally cool. I would recommend this to anyone who is into the heavier styles of music or anyone who likes to listen to very competent musicians perform. The drums are fast and deadly accurate and the music is technical.
