Vancouver, British Columbia Born and Bred Rock 'n' Roll in a Pure Sense. Discovered by Randy Bachman (Bachman Turner Overdrive, Guess Who) in 1974, Trooper Achieved Great Success, Especially in their Homeland of Canada. 'thick as Thieves' features 'raise a Little Hell', 'round, Round We Go', 'the Moment that it Takes' and Seven More.

I have heard of Trooper a couple years ago but I didn't really know too much about them and I'm so glad that I discovered this album at a record store and I decided to give these guys a try and I'm now glad that I did, Trooper sure has a wide diversity of music and I take that as a good thing, at times they sound like Foreigner, Rare Earth, Orleans, Eagles and the (early) Doobie Brothers, the best songs are No Fun Being Alone, Round Round We Go, Raise a Little Hell and One Good Reason, the rest of the album is solid and there isn't a bad song on here and that is something I don't say too often, I just wish that Trooper would've been as big in the states as they were in Canada and I think that all 70's classic rock fans should check out this album.

Trooper is underexposed.......2004-07-16

I own 5 Trooper albums and this is the best by far. Hot Shots is great, but this album just SHINES!!!!! Ra's vocals are so sharp, the band is so tight, not a bad song on the whole album. Wish they would tour here in Denver!!! Love to get a new album out by them. LONG LIVE TROOPER!!!!!!!!

Trooper's 1978 album was there best album ever! With the hit's "Raise a little hell", "Round round we go", "Moment that it takes" & "Say goodnight" (not to mention "The Gambler", "Live from the moon",& "Drive me crazy"), Ra and Brian were at there peak songwriting. Without a doubt one of my Top 10 albums of all time (#4)and a soundtrack to my youth. ...

A classic gem that rock fans of the 70's & 80's would love.......1999-02-25

this is one album from the 70's and 80's period that most folks have never heard of, but i still consider it a classic, "Raise a Little Hell" is probably the only song that some people would recognize, but it is not even the best song on the album. a must for fans of guitar oriented clear lyric type music of this wonderful era...

Not "one" bad song on the entire album........1999-02-21

I bought the vinyl in Canada roughly 19 years ago. Now it's time to purchase the CD...what a great collection of tracks.

I have heard three songs from this album. Lead singer is Zack Werner, snarky (hot) judge on Canadian Idol! It's amusing, in a Zacky sort of way!

I love this kicked in the head CD. This group is not only phenomemnal live but I listen to their CD's each and every day.

The lyrics are powerful and each band member brings so much to this group, they are inspiring. Esp to young bands out there who want to work hard and make it big. They are going to be big so I advise you get this CD now and if you can head to a concert soon before its too late and you miss out. The lead singer Gary Hedrick's voice is unstoppable!!!

The 2nd best punk band EVER!!.......2002-09-06

After Millencolin. These guys are awesome. I own this album, as well as an older one. This band trully knows how to play punk rock, unlike the mainstream punk bands which are spreading around the music scene like a cancer. The CD is awesome, and i strongly suggest getting their early work too. It's nothing like this CD, it's mostly ska, but it's great none the less. MUST BUY if you like punk, real punk not the mainstream horse excrement.
