Just as great as I remember. It was a replacement as my original got lost. Great service from Amazon.

4 out of 5 stars Guitar-Driven, Innuendo-Laden Hard Rock.......2007-07-05

George Lynch's sonic guitar work leads the charge of Lynch Mob's "Wicked Sensation" album. I got this disc way back when it first came out and it quickly became one of my favorite hard rock albums. The title track and "All I Want" are two of the most obvious sex-tinged rockers you'll run into from the early 90's. "Dance of the Dogs," "She's Evil But She's Mine" and "Hell Child" are all excellent rock tunes as well. "Rain," "Sweet Sister Mercy" and "Through These Eyes" are especially good and highlight Oni Logan's vocals.

The entire album is a wonderful treat from the era that Grunge killed. If you've never heard it before, I highly recommend you check it out. Fans of Dokken, Motley Crue, and Skid Row will definitely enjoy this one.

5 out of 5 stars George Lynch!!!!.......2007-04-09

Besides being a mega Dokken fan,Lynch Mob is right up there. Bought this album for the first time on cd and it rocks!!!! Standouts are ,"Wicked Sensation","River of Love","Sweet Sister Mercy","Hell Child","Dance of The Dogs" and "For A Million Years".Too bad,the album wasn't a smash, because it should have.Lynch is great!!! One of the most underrated guitarists ever,in my opinion. If you are a big fan of Dokken or for that matter,George Lynch, pick this one up.It will amaze!!! Brings back great memories.
Long live Hair rock!!!!

1 out of 5 stars Lost Gem.......2007-02-08

I picked this up just yesterday on CD but actually had bought it on Cassette when it first came out in back 1990. This album as a whole is really good so I'm surprised that it didn't do better than it did. My personal favorite tracks are "Wicked Sensation" which I believe there was a video for), "Sweet Sister Mercy", "All I Want", "Dance Of The Dogs", & "No Bed Of Roses". So if you like "Dokken" or just like heavy blues rock 'n roll, do yourself a favor and pick this up..the whole album is good. I might also add their second album simply titled "Lynch Mob" is pretty good as well, they do a killer version of "Queens" "Tie Your Mother Down" on that one.

4 out of 5 stars A good follow-up.......2007-01-17

A good follow-up to their debut album. If you mix the two albums together and play all the songs, you won't hear any difference.

5 out of 5 stars Just the thing for a metal addict like me!.......2007-05-14

I had this on cassette back in the day, but it decomposed with age and became un-playable. When I discovered it had been re-issued, I wasted no time in getting it. Now I can't listen to anything else! This CD is late 80's/early 90's metal that will make your brain bleed! All tracks are an eleven on a scale of one to ten, but for me, the stand-out tracks are "Back on the Bitch", "Switchblade Serenade", "Thru These Eyes", "Spread Eagle", "42nd Street", and "Shotgun Kiss". Ray West's voice is custom-made for high energy metal, and it really compliments the skull-crushing guitar work. I would describe their sound like this: Take one part Guns 'n Roses, one part AC/DC, two parts Accept, put it all in a blender and throw in a dash of Skid Row. Voila! Spread Eagle!

5 out of 5 stars Spread Eagle Shreds.......2007-04-01

It's great to see this CD back out. A best-kept secret. Spread Eagle has an energy level and musical prowess matched only by bands like Van Halen and Megadeth. These guys are NOT kidding around. It's really heavy, but without being gloomy. Very few bands can shred this hard and still maintain a melodic, sexy feel to the music. One of my favorites! You gotta hear this!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome album.......2007-03-25

Thanks Lovember Records for this Awesome reissue!!! This classic reissue is a great album and is exactly what one would expect from Spread Eagle. They deliver a hard rock album that stays true to their roots and offers up enough time changes to make everything sound fresh. Spread Eagle showed on this release how much talent they had, and it translated into huge commercial success.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Debut!.......2007-03-19

I can't believe this record has been reissued!! Thank God for the people at Lovember Records. The remastering on this cd blows the original away. Spread Eagle's debut is one of the best records I've ever heard. The guitar player shreds like the best of them, the singer has a very unique voice but most of all their songs are "real". They had everything a rock band should have: LOTS OF ATTITUDE!

The lyrics for "Thru These Eyes" are incredible. "Suzy Suicide" reminds me a bit of Motorhead. "Switchblade Serenade" use to get played on rock radio non-stop and MTV's Headbanger Ball. If you like your rock loud and raw then buy this record. You WON'T be disappointed.

3 out of 5 stars Not as good as wicked sensation.......2007-03-04

Pretty good, but like a couple of other reviewers have already stated, it's not as good as wicked sensation. Kind of like a little to polished sounding Lynch Mob. Could have been released by dozens of other 80s bands.

2 out of 5 stars See track three for my review title........2007-01-27

This album was weak by all means. Lynch Mob without Oni Logan is like Dokken w/o Don Dokken. I loved the first mob album so much that I was trying hard to give this one a chance, beleieve me I tried. It's back on amazon now.

If this album was worthy of an award it would be for "The worst Queen cover ever."

4 out of 5 stars Rock 'n' Roll.......2007-01-17

A wonderful album. Good rock 'n' roll. A little of this and a little of that. Some songs have a blues basis to them.

3 out of 5 stars Diet Dokken?.......2006-06-24

Not really, since Dokken weren't great anyway and George Lynch was the main man there musically there isn't any real reason to fear that this will be worse than Dokken, and even some reason to think it may be better.

But.

1992 arrives and George Lynch unleashes this solid effort. Solid is the word, not special or spectacular or awesome. Everything about this disc is middle of the road cliche. Robert Masons vox are standard fare for this type of thing. A southern twang for cred and enough charisma to pull it off.

The songs seem less prissy in many ways that Dokken, George knows how to crank - check out via sample or download the track Jungle of Love. Like it? Then buy this album.

Even though it does back off after that opening rocker. It was accepted practice for many years to open an album with two hard rockers. But during the early 90's that went out of fashion for what you see on this disc - a roaring hard rocker for starters and then a change of tack into lighter weight stuff or hokey takes on the blues or jazz for mainstream acceptance (ie sales).

Keith Olsen produced this disc and the band makes good use of all their influences including nice use of horns to keep things upbeat. It's hard to pan this release, the guitars crank but it's just so stock standard. Probably utterly necessary for Dokken fans but not so much for general hard rock/metal listeners.

Um... bad music I can handle, but that there is some crazy racist something. Must have been a big hit in Hazzard County!

4 out of 5 stars Not excellent but close to being there..........2005-05-23

This is only the second time I've I've written a review on something that could be categorized as "modern" sounding, kind of like Nickelback or Metallica. You know what I mean. The 2004 Scorpions CD "Unbreakable" went for this heavy overdriven sound with the less distinctive leads and fewer fill-ins.
I have to say, I am impressed with the sound. If you listen to this cd on lower volume around the house or apartment, it is not that impressive, but when it is cranked in the car stereo you will get looks. I have to say that I don't mind the remakes of the Dokken tunes, either. I never liked "Tooth and Nail" (even when it came out with Dokken) and I don't like it now. The standouts here are: "Tangled in the Web", "Relax", "When Darkeness Calls", "River of Love", and "Kiss of Death" (the last one is obviously different sounding then the original but just as good in its own way). Ironically, the revamped Dokken tunes, overall, are not the best parts of the CD. And I would not concur with others who feel the remakes of these earlier Lynch Mob tunes are inferior to the originals. I don't think so. They rock hard and they will bash you in the face! Yet, they still have some distinctive melody, like I said, in the same league, if not better than Nickelback. There are still some good Lynch solos at times, as well. The lead singer (whoever he is) sings with a ton of emotion. This is about is good as new heavy metal gets. Way to go guys! Make another album with a few more hit singles like Nickelback style and you will have my fan support. Also, I don't think George looks bad at all. Not like an old fogie. His hair looks cool and his arms look pretty buff (might need to work on the little ponch he's getting in the midsection, though). Otherwise, looking good, buddy (and shreding!). Keep up the good work.

4 out of 5 stars I like the new versions.......2005-05-14

I guess I'm in the minority of people who actually like the new versions of "Breaking the Chains" and "Kiss of Death" (along with the others). Are they better than the originals? Maybe not, although they certainly sound better in terms of recording quality. But who cares? If you want to hear the original versions of these songs, they're already available. In fact, you probably already have them. Go listen!

This CD is just an excuse to put out some material, but it's better than just re-recording the exact same versions as the originals (see LA Guns "Cocked and Re-Loaded." Actually, don't.) I like the heavier guitars, the vocals done a little differently, etc. I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding DVD Value.......2005-05-07

I have been purchasing DVDs of some of the older guitar legends (Gary Moore Michael Schenker, Satriani, etc.) and Lynch just continues to amaze me. It is refreshing that he can do inventive and creative things with the older material. I like others who complained about changing the tunes around, listened more and actually like the new versions better of some of the older Dokken stuff. PLus this is the first DVD colection that I received a CD as well as DVD.

4 out of 5 stars Everyone has thier own tastes..........2005-04-19

At first I was like a few of these people on here, wondering WTF when I first listened to this in a music store on one of those music scan machines. It really iritated me that the song Kiss of Death (with my all-time favorite guitar riff) didn't sound like the original. At first I thought the album was good, but not great. I bought it, put it in my car stereo, and listened to it a couple of times. The more I listen, the better I like it. A couple of the songs, namely, Kiss of Death and Breaking The Chains, don't measure up to the originals, in my opinion. Overall, This album cranks, rocks, and downright shreds! It's George doing what he does best, just on a baritone guitar this time. I think a lot of people resent the fact that he's playing it to established songs as opposed to new songs. Once you get used to hearing a song one way it's strange to hear it done another. I'm a big Lynch fan and I'm glad to see him showing that he can shred even on a baritone. But my tastes may differ from yours, because I like some of the NU-Metal music like Godsmack, I just can't stand that rock-rap crap. I also noticed that the new Judas Priest CD, Angel of Retribution is getting good reviews. I have that one to (from an impulse buy) and think that it's being overated. I only liked about half the songs on it. So that's my opinion, for what it's worth, but I say listen to it a couple of times before you judge it, because George is shredding on this one.

1 out of 5 stars Lost fire, growing older.......2005-02-20

Don't waste your money, this is crap !!! Talk about a huge let down.
there are only 2 decent versions here: "Relax' and "Paris is burning"
I've been a Gearge Lynch fan since the 80's and this is a sad progression. "Smoke this' was also a huge mistake. George has lost the fire with his playing and his solo's have lost their passion, tech expertise and originality.
Wickedly dissapointed, I was so fired up when I saw this CD in the store, I wish i could get my money back.
