    Product Description

Firstly, if anyone doesnt like catchy songs with short samples at the beginning, generally concerning porn he can simply stop reading this because that is what this band is more or less all about. They have shit loads of catchy riffs that are also quite groovy but which are not all slow. They have lots of fast picking riffs, double bass riffs as well, which are fucking great to listen to. The main element in this CD is by far the drummers feet. By this I mean that he can gain lots of speed with his feet and the sound of the bass drums stand out in the recording. The vocalist is utterly sick and brutal but he seems to be a bit repetitive at times. This is easily made up for by the high-pitched screams, which are fitted perfectly in the songs.

5 out of 5 stars One Of The Best Deathgrind/Goregrind Albums Ever.......2006-12-24

If Your Looking For One Of The Most Gore Somthered, Speed Blistering Cd's The n Get This and get it now. I Recentley Got Back Into Metal Like This Via The New Naplam DeatH CD And Then Going Back In And Around I Bought This, and boy i was woken up. The dual vocals are amazing, the speed is blistering and this (unlike most gore themed albumns) has creativity to it and the lyrics. Deadest Of The Dead Is One Of The BEst Songs Ever.

    4 out of 5 stars Wow..........2006-03-27

If you're some speed freak constantly looking for new heights in grindcore depravity, look no further. I originally found this in my local mall, (hah) browsing for an Exodus CD. When I caught a glimpse of "Gore Metal," I was intrigued. I mean, just look at it. When I placed it on the checkout counter, the clerk looked at me like I was insane. If there's a better sign of a great album, I'd like to know what it is.

There's not alot to say here. The guitars literally sound like chainsaws, appropriately enough. The bass is pretty much drowned out by the overwhelming drums, and the vocalist's scathing grunts reach subterranean levels. Though brisk tempo changes run amock, the music here isn't exactly enviable in its virtuosity. Exhumed pride themselves on brutality, and strong grooves. "Deathmask," "Limb From Limb," among other classics, are highly infectious. Exhumed's "Gore Metal" doesn't exactly propel metal into a new level of subtlety, but it gives what it promises.
    - Thus says the Pellington

Beautiful crafty melodies, subtle lyrics, amazing versatile vocal range, romantic guitar sounds. Ooooh yes!!!! Higly recommendable.

    5 out of 5 stars EXTREAME S##T.......2005-08-17

THIS CD IS EXTREAMLY BRUTAL AS F##K. SONGS LIKE "OPEN THE ABCESS" "LIMB FROM LIMB" AND THERE AWSOME COVER OF SODOMS "SODOMY AND LUST." THIS IS SOME GORY BRUTAL S##T. BUY IT.

    2 out of 5 stars Boring.......2004-12-31

Track number 1 and 3 still seems to be the only decent songs on the album. the rest of the songs sound the same and you can't even hear the guitars are because they are drown out by the anoying drums. I still don't see why everyone praises this album so much and gives it 5 star ratings. The only good thing about this cd is the vocals. If these guys decided to get a better drummer and a guitar player that can play more than highly unorganized fast noise and make some heavy headbanging riffs and brutal hooks instead of just playing speed/noise than they would actually be a pretty cool band! If you want something gory that sounds good check out Cannibal Corpse Tomb of the mutilated and Eaten back to life or Severe Torture or Disgorge(highly awsome, brutal band). For some good brutal death metal in general(no order check out:Cryptopsy, nile,Deeds of Flesh,Disavowed,Disgorge,Dying Fetus(Killing OA and under),Deicide,Kataklysm,Severe Torture,Broken Hope,Cannibal Corpse,Suffocation(avoid their new album),Decapitated, and more........ Aviod garbage like Skinless and Exhumed.

Exhumed can be likened to a jam session between Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel (imagine both of them playing at the same time). their music is short (3 to 4 minutes for each song, except for the instrumental) and not-so-sweet.
Fred Durst's Numbah One Fann, I got a bone to pick with you.
first of all, it is unlikely that kids in school are unlikely to get ahold of this disc because it isn't available at Wal-Mart or Kmart. it is very unlikely that this band will cause violence in schools because we have Marilyn Manson (yecch) to thank for that.
second of all, Limp Bizkit, Disturbed, KoRn, Trapt, Simple Plan, Blink-182, Linkin Park, and everything else you mentioned is NOT metal. Limp Bizkit, Disturbed, Korn, Trapt, and Linkin Park are nu-metal, Chevelle is hard rock, and Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, and Blink-182 are alternative.
do me a favor! either drop dead or go listen to REAL metal!

5 out of 5 stars The brutallity assult........2004-08-25

Exhumed, just doesn't feel sorry for our eardrums! By far the most brutal grind/death band and i realy do love the music here its fast realy fast and actullie scary and gory lirycs. If you got a weak stomach dont even bother but if your a true fan of gore then ? Get it. Recommended.

2 out of 5 stars The beginning of the end.............2004-06-24

This is definitely the album that puts this band on the downward spiral. Remember when bands like Obituary did 2 great album, but then by their 3rd it was clear it was over? This is the case with Exhumed. Basically, this band is now trying to take themselves "serious" as musicians and that's not the point of this style of metal. Also, getting some hyped up "producer" does nothing for this band. Whatever happened to death metal bands wanting to play raw, dark, and ugly sounding music? Like Autopsy, early-Carcass, Impetigo, etc.? Does Exhumed think they are impressing people with a clean and totally digital sound? I'm embarassed to have ever been a fan of this band after this atrocity. Latest on the band is that they now only have 1 original member left. That's another sign it's over for this band...

    5 out of 5 stars Great album.......2004-06-17

Wow, intense album with alot of brutality... Not even close to being a let down. For any true deathmetal fan and who loves brutal music with talent! Buy it!!

5 out of 5 stars "Fred Durst's Numbah One Fan" is a moron!.......2004-04-25

Okay, I can't say I own this album, but I will say that I listened to the samples and it kicks monster bootay! However, "Fred Durst's Numbah One Fan" (who gave the album a 1-star review) doesn't know what he is saying. What he said:

Yo hip-hoppa's, whut is going down?? I love heviie medal just like the next punk, but crap like this is just inexcusable!! The lyrics are so violent and filled with hate, they should be locked down for even thinking things like this, much less puttin' it down on a albumm!! Plus the artwork is gross and scary and will inspire violence in our nation's school's!!! The singer sounds like he's mad cuz someone parked at his reserved parking space at Burger Hut when he was awarded employee of da week!! The guitar playa's just play the same fast riff over and over and the drumber just hits the fastest button on his drum machine and lets in loop endlessly!! For good medal, listen to Linkin Park, Staind, Limp Bizkit, KoRn, Puddle Of Mudd, Trapt, Seether, Blink 182, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and the very heavy Chevelle!! Avoid this junk, its so gross!! Peace, I'm out...

Okay, first of all, he can't spell. He spelled heavy, album, because, the, drummer, and metal wrong. He had a few misplaced apostrophes as well. He thinks the drummer plays a machine. He says for good metal, stick with Linkin Park, Staind, Limp Bizkit, KoRn, Puddle Of Mudd, Trapt, Seether, Blink 182, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, and the "very heavy" (WTF!!) Chevelle. Okay, none of those bands are metal, and Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, and Blink 182 aren't even nu-metal! All the nu-metal bands he mentioned are at least decent (except those losers Limp Bizkit), but they aren't metal.

If you like Exhumed, here are some other bands to check out:
Dying Fetus, Nile, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy, Kataklysm, Morbid Angel, The Forsaken, Krisiun, and much, much more.

    5 out of 5 stars masterfully brutal.......2005-03-23

i have honestly been listening to grindcore since i was 5 years old, and this is without a question, one of the greatest goregrind compilations that i have ever listened to. its savage intensity is made even better with it's cover of carcass' "exhume to consume" and the totally f-cked up rendition of a holiday medley, "No Presents for Christmas". my only gripe with this album is the fact that many songs (about 5 or 6) from the first disk also appear on the second disk, and one song even appears twice on one disk. I am just regretful that i couldnt get my hands on the 3 disk version of it...

    5 out of 5 stars amazing.......2004-06-03

I feel for everybody who didn't get the 3 disc version. The 3rd disc is brilliant, just for the Madonna cover if nothing else. If you see it used, buy it.

This album is for Exhumed Fans, if you have liked there other releases and always wanted to get a almost complete collection of all their rare and out of print material that is what Platters of Splatter delivers. Musicaly this is EXHUMED, death gring bloody fing Gore METAL. Tones of gore, mastered by Scott Hull of PXDX fame. Keep in mind the sound quality is amazing considering that these songs were from demo tapes and records. Now I am lucky enough to have the three disc set which is by now unavaible or very close as only 1000 were made. The third disc makes this set 1 relase short of owning everysong by exhumed if you own the other albums. I recomend the other releases as well. I AM A EXHUMED GORE FING METAL FAN. also check out a band called Carcass( for the few who have not heard them) if your into exhumed

5 out of 5 stars little known gem........2006-06-14

not many have heard of this band, and fewer have heard this album. i can honestly say that this is the album that got me in to doom metal, and with good reason. while this may not be the most technical of music, it is rather progressive with the use of instruments such as the flute. on the first track the contrast of angelic operatic vocals and brutal gutterals is quite an experience.

the bottom line is, if you like doom, get this album. if you don't like doom, get this album anyway, because you need to like doom.

    4 out of 5 stars DOOM METAL.......2004-03-31

One of the most heavy albums you can get - very good svinging and heavy rhytm guitars chugging with the true double footdrom being played steadily throuhout .. the reason of me giving the album 4 stars instead of 5 is because the albums is a bit monotome and is not so technical!
But if you run accross this doom metal album my advice would be to buy it! This is true doom metal!

      5 out of 5 stars Very intriguing.......2005-03-23

I find this record to be VERY intriguing....I was never a HUGE fan of doom metal but fell in love with how this band brings it about! This is also a record that needs to be heard from start to finish...not in exerpts or a song here or there thing. If you like slow crunching guitars and low deathy growls with a strong atmosphere of impending doom you will like this. Most into fast "speed metal", "death metal", "black metal" etc will be SORELY disappointed! The fans like the slow dirgelike guitars and breathy gutteral growls...I like this record alot but like "within the ancient forest" the most.

      5 out of 5 stars A Doom Death Masterpiece.......2004-06-11

Exhumed of the Earth is a beautiful album. I have been fortunate to find all 3 of Paramaecium's albums, and they are all masterpieces. Very hard to find though. This album is worth getting just for the first song alone, it is 16 minutes long, the whole album is 66 minutes. It has beautiful female vocals mixed with growling death vocals, and has some nice flutes mixed in. If you love death metal or doom metal, or Doom Death, then Paramaecium is the band for you, but you have to hunt for their albums like I did. Highly recommended band for all Christians and even secular listeners. Paramaecium blows away all the secular doom death bands. Peace.

1 out of 5 stars amazing but boring for most.......2003-10-18

I got this CD from secondspin.com for $5.99 or something; I was interested because the drummer Jason Sherlock was once in Mortification. This is the most unique and evil-sounding Christian death metal that I've ever heard. The anti-Catholic song sucks, of course. What a joke! Are there any real arguments for protestantism? Fortunately, one can't understand anything anyway. Just don't read the lyrics, and it's fine.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best of death/doom cd's ever!!!.......2003-03-31

When a friend of mine told of this group i was taking back first off the cd music starts off very slow! with female vocals for about 3 mins! right and buy this point ,it sounded like classical music! then wow the music gets heavyer and then the vocals kick in and it does not sound human!!! And yes the hole idea is the brith of chirst and his death. buy this one today!! for fans of : winter and opeth and old my dying bride and for that matter evoken as well!!!

Great metal but since its a cover album you can't really call it gore metal...considering Led Zeppelin didn't talk about dismembering prostitutes...and neither did the Cure. Aside from that this is great considering Exhumed puts an interesting twist on the songs, as i've said the Cure wasn't death metal. Reccomended for a fan of the band or death metal.
