Eerie... Dissonant.........2005-01-10
What else can I say? This music is truly scary music. Not the kind that is "traditional," but, really, who cares? If you expect Ulver, you won't get it. If you expect Emperor, even, you won't get it. Stop comparing this to those bands, because Tartaros is not those bands. Tartaros, instead of relying on the message to make themselves look scary, they rely on the music. Ain't that a change? Instead of burning churches and killing each other, Tartaros use the music to scare the listener. Isn't that what you are supposed to do? I mean, they are a BAND, and they use their music, rather than their message. Bands aren't about message, they are about the music. And admit it, hardcore BM fans: you like this stuff. It just doesn't jibe with your philosophy. Isn't that just sad? Well, you can listen to your purist (read: closeminded) music, and I'll feel free to listen to whatever I like. All I know is that these guys sound good, and that's all that matters.
Good album.......2004-07-14
When i first heard that CD i was impressed!!! Even though it sounds a bit wacky, i actually enjoyed it. Recommended for Metal Heads.
P.S. This is what we call "Carnival Black Metal"

maniacal work from charmand grimloch.......2001-07-15
this cuts the brain. it's sort of horror-like black metal lunacy. grand and psychotic are very good words for what is presented. it's energetic, dense, powerful music. keyboards play a central role in making hte sound one of the more intersting ones ever. this is good music
