Exotic Ambient.......2004-02-12

I was familiar with the Vocal group Ashe and have always enjoyed Richards musical ideas.Ashe always seemed to me as the "thinking persons"pop group with a certain element of poetic license,both musically and lyricially.Richards "Ether Static" is a very different music all together.First it is almost all instrumental.Second the instruments are mostly acoustic and have a very ancient and visual quality.In some of the songs the instruments are almost all classical.I.E.Classical guitar,flute,violins,cellos,but somehow the music sounds as if it was played on completely different instruments..There is a timeless quality to this CD..Interesting and completely differnt.This is the only CD i have heard that I would call"Exotic Ambient".Excellent!
