These are not the same arrangements as the original movie soundtracks.......2007-01-21

I was disappointed that these are not the same arrangements as the original movie soundtracks. For example, in Colonel Bogey, the countermarch from the movie soundtrack is not included in the arrangement on this CD. Don't get me wrong, the songs are good, but I would have preferred the same arrangements as the original movies.

An outstanding compilation.......2006-08-25

This compilation is superb and a real must-buy. From Band of Brothers to A Bridge Too Far: every war movie theme is represented here. An all time classic.

The really good ones are missing........2005-07-18

While this compilation has some masterpieces such as the theme from The Great Escape and Is Paris Burning, it's missing some of the finest tracts ever written. Where is the theme from Victory and Ernest Gold's stirring epic from Cross of Iron? The closing theme from Inchon was also a feast for the ears, but it's not here. It was written by Jerry Goldsmith, one of the foremost soundtrack composers of our time. Instead we're subjected to the likes of Hanover Street and The English Patient. I'll admit Inchon and Victory weren't Academy Award winning movies, but their soundtracks were second to none. As John Stossel would say," Give me a break"!!!

It Still Needs More Rampage.......2005-11-23

This album owns, cause it features live Annihilator songs from the Alice in Hell tour with Randy Rampage, as well as from the Never Neverland tour with Coburn Pharr. The first 5 tracks are pure raw Rampage, featuring some of that albums classics. The other 9 feature the second vocalist, performing killer renditions of Never Neverland songs as well as some of the Alice in Hell classics. The cd closes with a cover of AC/DC's Live Wire. More tracks with Rampage would have been nice, but I like the live versions of some of the Neverland songs better than the originals. Buy if you liked the old stuff, or haven't heard the old stuff yet.

In Command is a straight between your eyes live album that delivers a raw early stage Annihilator power. It's kind of 'this is how we got here' type album for the savy Annihilator fan that is always looking for an extra burst of violence. The album is split between two shows from different times in Annihilator's history. Each show sounds different and you get a glimpse and feel of the band's development over its first 2 albums. Randy Rampage vocal violence and the excellent Coburn Pharr along with the ultra speed king Jeff Waters backed up by the battery of Annihilator cannons deliver the best of the best of 'Alice in Hell' and 'Never Neverland'. This album is a must for any Annihilator fan in particular and for any Thrash/Speed Metalhead out there in general.

Great live cd!.......1999-04-03

I was thinking rating this cd with 5 stars,but I've changed my mind because of the first 5 songs.Don't take it wrong ,they are great songs.I've just feel that Coburn Pharr is a lot better vocalist on the other 9 tracks than Randy Rampage on the first 5 songs.Jeff Waters playing is fantastic,and the last song(AC/DC's Live Wire)is rocking hard!A must for every speed metal fan!
