Product Description

Boston’s HELL WITHIN is an aggressive, street-tough metal/hardcore outfit, one part SLAYER, one part HATEBREED, all parts honest. Originally formed in 1998 under the name TWYTCH, the powerhouse immediately created a huge buzz in the New England metal scene, sharing the stage with established acts such as SHADOWS FALL, HAT EBRE ED, SWORN ENEMY , DI S TURBED, CANDIRIA a n d DI E CAS T . TWYTCH released its self-titled debut album in 2001, followed by the Hatred EP in 2003; both releases increased the outfit’s profile in the region. After extensive touring throughout New England and the East Coast, TWYTCH started fresh by changing its name and sound. Newly titled HELL WITHIN and complemented by a more brutal, technical, and abrasive direction, it wasn’t long before LIFEFORCE RECORDS signed the band. HELL WITHIN’s second album and Lifeforce debut, Asylum Of The Human Predator,wa s recorded with John Ellis at Prism Sound Studio (TRIBE OF JUDAH, GODSMACK), mixed by highly acclaimed Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL) and mastered by Alan Douches (GOD FORBID, UNEARTH). Asylum Of The Human Predator appeals to a spectrum of metal and hardcore, somewhere between death, thrash and hardcore. Be prepared to be crushed.

1 out of 5 stars Macrock X.......2006-04-11

Boston, MA -awesome Boston, MA metal band that was by far my favorite of the conference, I actually bought their CD"Asylum of the Human Predator". I belive the title track of the CD "Asylum Of The Human Predator " has become my new anthem; with lyrics like "Save me one time, won't you, take this blackend heart and make it whole... ). Every player in this band is at the top of his game and this is the kind of metal that deserves to be called METAL! Killer album with crushing drums, driving bass, amazing twin guitar attack and dynamic in your face vocals. Keep up the good work guys!

5 out of 5 stars Metal rules!!!.......2006-02-18

It's very good to know bands like these exist and make this good quality metal. I thought only bands from Europe (Soilwork, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom) could create nice hard rock but these guys proves otherwise. Hell Within, keep the good work!!!

4 out of 5 stars a good band with a great future ahead.......2006-01-23

overall 80/100 decent band
if you like metal buy this album

5 out of 5 stars Not just "Another" metal band.......2005-08-30

I can honestly say, not many bands have touched me in the way that Hell Within have. The music the band creates is not only gut wrenchingly heavy, but also very melodic. Being a fan of Hell Within since there local, unsigned days (as Twytch), I can say that I am proud to see another Mass. based band do something right. The music on this album ranges in topics, dealing with issues such as the molestations in the Catholic Church (Asylum of the Human Predator), the war in Iraq (Merchants of the Blood Trade), to personal demons (Swallow the Stitches). While listening to this album, it really opens your eyes and makes you look at the world in another perspective, it gives you things to think about that you may not have previously had a whole opinion on.

Great album, in my opinion, a must own for any true fan, or just someone looking for a great album to add to there collection.

P.S.
If by some chance you can get one of the Limited Edition discs with a DVD (First Pressing only)look for me in the moshpit during the video for Self Inflicted Silence (Big red haired guy in a Marilyn Manson shirt). The Video was filmed in 2003 (while the band was still known as Twytch) at the Locobazooka Festival at the Fitchburg Airport in Fitchburg, Mass.

1 out of 5 stars Yay! More lame metalcore!.......2005-07-29

The music is irritating and stale, vocally lame, and just plain boring. Another lousy piece of trendy metalcore trash. Hatebreed s ucks enough, why do so many bands want to copy them?

I owned this album in the early 90's during my thrash period. From what I remember it was fairly bland bargain basement stuff. "Thugs Against Drugs" was probably the only track that stood out.
