Description
Conquering South America is the first official live album from the Florida-based quintet MALEVOLENT CREATION. This hour plus recording was professionally recorded on the 'The Will To Kill' 2003 tour in Rio de Janerio, Brazil and spans 12 years of their existence. Engineered by Julian Hollowell (Xaphan from Kult ov Azazel/Hateplow) and mastered by Jean-Francois Dagenals (Kataklysm), Conquering South America is the live album that fans have long requested and now it has been delivered.

Underrated and underappreciated.......2006-05-19
Malevolent Creation just never gets the respect that they deserve. Even though they have had several line-up changes, they have consistently released decent music with each album. What we have here is a live recording of Malevolent Creation in San Paul, Brazil. What I noticed right away is the crystal clear production, which is rare for a live death metal album. In fact, I would go as for as to say that the sound on this CD is better than the sound on some of their albums. Classics such as Alliance of War, Monster, Manic Demise and the amazing self titled Malevolent Creation sound awesome. The only downside is that Kyle Simmons does put a little too much into his vocals. There are times where his higher pitched screams just do not fit the music as well as the original versions. Overall, he does an excellent job, as does the rest of the band.
If you are a fan on Malevolent Creation, old or new, this is an essential CD by a band that normally goes unnoticed.

This band's studio records are most likely to be some of the most intense listening experiences you will ever encounter. Live in concert, they are twice as lethal, and this new live release is proof of that. Recorded live in Brazil, the playing is tight, the sound is very clean and the studio songs become hungry beasts of doom. Most of their albums are represented here, in a way this could serve as a best-of compilation for someone who's just getting into the band. Vocalist Kyle Simons interacts with the crowd as much as he can, at one point even offering his own shirt to a lucky fan since apparently they've run out of merchandise. For some reason, Dave Culross isn't present in the drum slot but Toni Laureno, an equally acomplished and technical drum maniac, effortlessly pounds through all 15 tracks, ending gloriously with the self-titled hymn "Malevolent Creation" from their brilliant debut album. As far as Death Metal goes, this is one of the best produced live albums you'll ever hear. Give it up for this band who's been bombarding the underground since the early '90s with their own brand of quality death metal.
OH MY GOD! \m/.......2005-05-10
OH MY GOD, I have never heard a live death metal cd sounds so good. It took me a long time to finally find this cd, because its pretty hard to find. When I finally found it, I was alittle nevese to buy this since I really don't know really what to expect. The main reson I bought it because one of my favorite drummers Tony (ex Nile, Dimmu Borgir) was blasting the drumkit. So thats why I bought it. I love death metal but only good like Nile, Morbid Angel, Deicide, and Cannibal Corpse. Im really not into like the now a days death metal like, Vadar, Suffication, Dying Fetus and pig destoryer. But this death metal I like alot man malevolent creation is so fast and insane. Man you hear everything just right in your face when your listening to it in your car or at home. It feels that you are there at the show. The cd cover all of there greatest hits. My favorite songs are Eve of the Apocalypse, Multiple Stab Wounds, Manic Demise, Blood Brothers, Kill Zone, Rebirth of Terror, Slaughter of Innocence, All That Remains, Alliance of War, Living in Fear, and of couase Malevolent Creation. If you havent noticed It like the hole cd here. If you really like Death Metal in concert you will certainly love Malevolent Creation Conquering South America. \m/DEATH METAL\m/
