Produced by Alex Perialis at Pyramid Sound, this CD has an excellent production and the music is sometimes compared to Motorhead and/or Venom---but with top-rate musicianship and sound! Must-Have 80's Metal.......1999-11-15

If you are a fan of mid-to-late 80's thrash metal, or if you think you might be, you have to get this record. This might be your only chance (this is only out now in a limited pressing after long being out of print). I remember listening to this record an awful lot in 1988, and I just got my copy of the reissue yesterday. It's every bit as great as I remember.

THIS CD SHREDS!.......1999-10-02

If you know anything a all about the metal underground, I don't need to tell you about this band! This CD kicks butt so hard that I don't even know where to start! The songs are awesome: powerful and memorable at the same time. The musicianship is excellent. (If VENOM would have been able to play their instruments better then they probably would have sounded like AT WAR!) The production, too, is pretty good! This is definately on my top 20 of BEST METAL ALBUMs!

Retaliatory Strike Is A Classic!.......1999-10-01

After trying to find this album for a number of years it really blew my mind when I saw it available on the internet! Not too many people know about this band, so this is a really cool album to own. It starts off with a group of military-types talking over their radios, preparing for an attack. ("Road Leader to Blue Leader," etc.) Then, the thrashing starts! The rhythm section is totally awesome! If you want to impress your friends by having something they've never heard and that is really great, this will do the trick.

Overlooked and Underrated.......2006-11-29

I actually have this one on cassette...At War was one of those bands who got lost in the speed metal shuffle, but if you like Celtic Frost and Venom then you will really dig this band. They had that "bassy" sound to them and, in my opinion, were one of the most overlooked and underrated bands from the 80s speed metal movement. Do yourself a favor and go back to school with At War!
