The 1980s were about excess and Heart, with those sweeping chords and soaring vocals, were as representative of the decade's musical immoderation as anyone. True, this collection of Heart stretches up to the mid-'90s, but Heart's sensibilities were thoroughly entwined with '80s guitar rock. This collection reaches only back to 1985, so it lacks such early hits as "Barracuda" and "Magic Man." It's also marred by filler, such as Ann Wilson's lugubrious duet with Cheap Trick's Robin Zander on "Surrender to Me," which originally appeared on the soundtrack to Tequila Sunrise. Still, since much of Heart's late-'80s and early-'90s output is no longer in print, this collection is your best opportunity to get some of their more recent rockers and power ballads on CD. --Genevieve Williams

some good music.......2007-03-08
very diverse cd covering a lot of years. I like it and my wife loves it.
Ya Gotta Have Heart..........2007-01-10
This cd has that Heart favourite, All I wanna do is make love to you.It is worth getting just for this great poignant song.I enjoy this cd because Heart songs usually tell a story not just repeat words over and over in a few phrases.Worth the trip down memory lane.
THE GREATEST OF THEIR WORK!!.......2006-08-15
This CD is the greatest of Heart's work!! I enjoy every song and the older ones bring back memories. I look forward to more of their great songs.
Excellent for us oldies.......2006-07-26
If you remember Heart from the beginning years you will love this CD. I enjoyed it so much, all the good ones are there.
All of Heart's Pop/Rock Incarnation Hits.......2006-02-20
The mid 80's to early 90's was Heart's commercial peak. These are not their best songs, but they are the ones that were big hit singles. Very well crafted and expertly executed, these songs dominated pop radio at the time. Ann Wilson is the best female rock singer ever and she is in top form, as always.

Good mix.......2001-03-21
This was the first in the yearly Grammy Nominees compilations. These are the best songs from their respective categories. A good collection of rock, r&b and pop. These compilations are best to listen to a few years after their release, because during the year they come out, the songs get so much airplay you soon tire of them. At least I do. But now, 7 years after this release, this album is once again good to listen to. (Could do without "balls-in-a-vice-grip" Bolton though)
The Usual Extraordinary Grammy Compilation.......2000-10-10
One of the things I like the most about Grammy complations is the fact that it collects some of the best music from the past year and puts it all on one CD. This CD is concrete proof of the fact. From R&B (Boyz II Men, Luther Vandross) to light rock (Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Elton John) to heavier stuff (Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow), this one has them all. Besides the point that most of these songs became huge hits in their time, they are also very enjoyable. When playing this CD, I find myself singing along to all the songs and smiling. It is great background music, great sing-along music, and great all around.
A gurl wit style from Nebraska.......2000-04-20
Being the 11-year-old that I am~this CD isn't very good b-cuz there is only like one song that I have heard of off this CD~but Having the kind of tast that I do~if you are about 16 or 17 you would like this CD

WOW !!!.......2007-06-03
I saw the show when I was a little kid and I was searching EVERYWHERE for the soundtrack to this show and I found it right here on AMAZON and I had to get it immediatley !!!! I enjoy listening to this quite often.
A Childhood Memory.......2005-07-06
The particular item that I purchased worn on the outside cover, it is to be expected. The CD inside, however, was in great condition and for the first time since I first heard the album on a cassette tape that my parents brought home after seeing the play at the MGM all those years ago I knew that this is a great album.
^_^
Magic surrounded me..........2004-11-09
WOW!! One of the more memorable and best shows I had the opportunity to see. Michael...Live...Incredible. Listening to the album stirs the show back to life in my mind's eye... images of Michael flying through the air on the saucer with his amazing vocals and the heart-wrenching scene between Houdini and his wife. I could go on forever. My favourite songs: EFX, Tonight, and Counting up to Twenty. They, with Michael's assistance, penetrate deep into one's core. I highly suggest this album...5 stars isn't near enough.
I love this out of all his CD's!.......2004-09-14
What makes me love this CD more than any other of Mike's is
the subtle inspirational messages he gives through the lyrics:
Anyone else catch any:
Don't be afraid to feel what's in your heart!!!
It will never happen, it will happen!!!
We must do all we can to reach compassion!!!!
I love 1st song with the synthesizer organ---
The magic that surronds you with the 2nd girl or boy vocal
has a very "peter-panish" melody--
a lot of songs hit alot of tender nerves with me--!!!!
Michael is at his most commpasionate with this CD!!!!!!!!!
It's like if Disney World was a kind of music, instead of
a place of wonder and magic, this CD would be it.........
WHERE'S MIKES SUBLIMINAL TAPES!!!!!
IF I WERE TO SAY ONE THING TO MIKE IN PERSON,
IT WOULD BE "YOU HAVE SHAPED MY PERSONALITY TO BE WHO
i AM TODAY"

Which is the best Scorps live album?.......2005-11-13
My brother and I have a disagreement over which Scorpions live album is better; this or World Wide Live. I am partial towards World Wide Live. It perfectly captures Scorpions at the pinnacle of their success right after the release of Love at First Sting during their 84-85 world mega tour. In World Wide Live, the sound is rawer and you hear the echoes from the huge stadiums the Scorps were playing in at the time. Live Bites is a very good album in its own right, but it feels "less live" and more "perfect" than World Wide Live for me. The album is more polished and you can hear each one of the musicians perfectly. That is what my brother really likes about the album, the amazing quality and clarity of scorpions on this album which is in stark contrast to World Wide Live, where the sound was much rawer but the clarity is not there. It is just a difference in preference of styles. My brother has his own band and is really into high quality sound which is why he likes Live Bites more. Me, I'm more impressed by the feelings that huge crowds and stadiums in World Wide Live inspire; they make you feel like you are at a mega show.
Some people would say that after the release of Love at First Sting Scorpions went down hill. I would challenge them to listen to this live album. While other than Wind of Change, the songs on this album are not as well known, that does not mean they are not good. The material on this live album is great! You also get a feel for the world audience that scorpions have played live to with songs recorded in Berlin, Munich, San Francisco, Mexico City and Leningrad.
The guitar riffs on Tease Me, Please Me are good. Is There Anybody There sounds great. Scorps slowed down the song and heavily accented the beat giving the song a great feel. I also really like the inclusion of In Trance in this cd. The version is great. Another highlight of the cd is Wind of Change played live in Russia I think (Living for Tomorrow is played for sure in Leningrad). My favorite song on this cd has to be When the Smoke is Going down. I know that is a weird choice, but something about this version just makes it magnificent. I can never get enough of it. Klaus Meine's voice is fantastic, the crowd cheering gives it a great feel and even though the acoustic guitar chords are very simple, they are also quite powerful (reminds me of Acoustica). You expect the song to errupt into a hard heavy metal song any minute (like Coming Home) but that is where its greatness lies in. It never does, but it keeps you thinking it will.
Overall, if you like Scorpions and/or Metal you should buy this. It is well worth your money. One final word, there are two versions of the CD, Live Bites 1988-1995 [LIVE] and Live Bites [IMPORT]. I would purchase Live Bites [IMPORT] as it is a dollar cheaper and you get one more track. More importantly the difference between the two cds is Live Bites [IMPORT] has two more live tracks while Live Bites 1988-1995 [LIVE] has an extra studio track. I haven't heard the extra studio track, Edge of Time but it can't be that good because it wasn't included in any of their best of compilations, boxed sets ect, so it probably isn't worth it. Go for the Import version where you get the two extra live songs: Ave Maria no Morro (played live in Mexico city, Klaus Meine's Spanish is not his forte, but if you know Spanish well you can understand what he is saying, meaning I don't agree with the reviewer who says he can't understand him, that reviewer just isn't a good Spanish speaker, but then I am a native Spanish speaker [born in Colombia]) and Hit Between the Eyes (played very heavy here!)
Not as good as other live efforts.......2005-04-15
I used to love this album. While typing this review I'm actually listening it. And now that I'm doing it (with headphones on), I can see some performances are weak and not as energetic as previous live albums. Scorpions is a great live band, but this CD doesn't seem to represent them fairly. Some tracks doesn't even have a 'live' vibe. They seem as they were recorded in the studio with added crowd noise.
Overall, it's not a bad album, but don't spend big bucks on it as I did some years ago. And please Klaus, don't ever sing in Spanish again. Not even Spanish-speakers can understand you.
Excellent sound quality, weak setlist.......2004-09-09
Too bad the band didn't include more songs from Savage Amusemnt like Don't Stop at the top or Media Overkill. "Tease Me..." sounds awesome and it's the best track on the album, however the album has very few live songs and a double album could've been better. Still enjoyable, but a album only for die hard fans.
Turn up the volume!.......2003-11-13
Live Bites is a great compliation of live performances by the Scorpions. The musicianship on this album is superior, from Meine's smooth vocals to the combination of shreading riffs between Jabs and Rudolf Schenker. "Tease Me Please Me" is a great track that starts off the album on a great, energetic note. Such ballads as "Rhythm of Love" and "Wind of Change" really capture the crowd (and you) as you listen. The hard hitters on this cd include "No Pain No Gain" and "Alien Nation". Overall a great Live album despite not including some of their biggest hits.
One of the best live albums of the Scorpions.......2003-06-11
This is one of the greatest albums of the Scorpions. It doesn't have all the classics(it is missing a lot of the classics) but it is still a good album with the bonus studio songs. It sounded better because they made all the songs go a little bit faster which makes you more alert and active instead of listening to slow songs which sometimes make you sleepy. I recommend this if you are a die-hard fan of the Scorpions.

I Miss the Show and the Original Cast.......2006-07-18
I love this soundtrack because that was the year or time period for me. I grew up watching "All That" and I miss the skits. My favorite skit is the "Lemonade Skit" featuring "TLC". TLC is my favorite girl even in 2006, they had so much fun during those years.
back in the days.......2006-02-07
yes this soundtrack is good and it is brings back memories of the show because of the hilarious skits. Definite 5 star review.
Brings Back SOOOOO Many Memories.......2004-05-06
I can still remember the original cast of All That how funny it was. And the music was smoking every saturday night. If you still remembered the first season of All That, this is a must to have in your collection. Its priceless.
ALL THAT IS FUNNY!.......1999-08-01
I prefer to see the skits on TV. The songs on here may be old. But the music on this CD is Da BOMB!
