Excellent metal album.......2007-01-12

Back in the late 80's my brother gave me a dubbed cassette tape of this album and I wore it out in less than a year. I was so glad to finally get this album on CD. The music only gets slow or repetative in a few places, which I usually only find in albums that are a greatest hits or a compilation.

Not the riot of FIRE DOWN UNDER; in fact it features a slightly different personnel, especially a different singer. So, it's more a power/thrash metal album. Nevertheless, I love it! Every song has a distinctive character. Every song is played with a chirurgic precision. Not "essential" but if you own it, it will make you happy.

This album is FLAWLESS!!!!.......2003-07-28

I recommend this album to any true metal fan! It's fast, its' heavy, and it's classic! The melodies and shrieking guitars are beautiful, I think! And while some people find Tony Moore's voice to be annoying, I think that it is perfect for this sort of album, and I love the sound of it! His voice is very high pitched, and when he screams, I think it sounds like raging hot, piercing lightning searing and cutting through the dark sky! If he can be found in any other metal bands, then I sure would love to get my hands on those albums, too.
I think that the songs are great!!!!! Very fun to sing along with. And they are very inspiring to listen to, in both ways, mentally, and artistically for me. All of the songs are great, of course, but Buried Alive really stands out there. It's very dark, and it makes for a perfect heavy metal song, I think. Being buried alive is probably one of the coolest subjects for a metal song to be about. I actually look at this song as a work of art, it's brilliant!
Other good songs are Thundersteel, Blood Streets (very beautiful melody and vocals), Johnny's back, Run for your Life (coooool), Fight or Fall (inspireing! Makes me want to take up my claymore and fight for my kingdom!), Flight of the Warrior (*see Fight or Fall*).
That's about it. Be sure and buy this album before you surf on out! Take care.

what a cd this is...strap on your seatbelts folks, its a ride on space mountain! this cd rocks from top to bottom...title track rules...and riot fan should have this one...its a nobrainer of a choice...top notch melodic speed metal way ahead of its time....only compliant is the vocalist whos voice gets a bit on your nerves if taken in large doses similar to the effects of paul stanley or ozzy...listen to a couple of songs then switch to something else and come back later and listen some more...thats my best advice...could be better, but not by much...instruments and played perfectly....if you like the earlier fates warning stuff, get this cd!
