5 out of 5 stars heres your last chance to be cool repeat these magic words NASHVILLE PUSSY!!!.......2006-06-27

This is a fast brutal sex, drugs, and rock and roll kick in the nuts! I played this for my co-worker and when it started of with loud feedback she cringed. When it was over she was blown away, she said "It didn't FN stop!", and they don't, the feedback from the end of one song is still going when the next one starts! The music is fast, loud, and pure U.S.D.A. prime filth! From the cover, to the lyrics, to the name, to the pure raw sound! I end ever sentence in this reveiw with a (!) cause they end every song with one!

5 out of 5 stars Marilyn sux, Pussy is way better!.......2004-09-09

Dude, you actually think Manson is good, I'm not going to blatantly insult you like that vulture music lover, but I am going to tell you the same thing I told Greg Dillmore, take some medication, it helps. Now back to the album. This album is so (...) twisted and naughty. You can tell this is music to (...) someones brains out too, for crying out loud its called Let Them Eat Pussy! I luv the way this album is just so sick, naughty, dirty, (...), illict sex music! Who cares about the music, just the fact that these naughty people named themselves Nashville Pussy is enough for me to rate this.... 5 stars.

5 out of 5 stars get over yourselves..........2004-02-14

NP rocks the house. Maybe you guys that don't like this music are too OLD. Maybe you should buy George Jones' LP "I dont need no rocking chair".

Everytime I hear NP I cant help but stomp my feet and bob my head. This is good stuff to get inked to and drink some beer!!!

FRIED CHICKEN AND COFFEEEEEE... they keeping me mean!

5 out of 5 stars Beats Motorhead.......2003-04-26

You've got to see this group live. They were the intro band to Motorhead. It should have been the other way round.
One of the few bands I would pay to see again. Still though, no-one beats Marilyn Manson in concert.

3 out of 5 stars this is way too slick in a bad way.......2000-04-19

I guess a person would be blown away by these guys if he hadn't ever heard anything else that actually is rock and roll. I'm not saying this to mean I'm some sort of a know it all, but LTEP is lacking to me in the rock department. Obviously it isn't as bad as a lot of so called bands that use some type of distortion or another, but it could rock so much harder had the production been a lot more scratchy and much thicker. I think people are way too judgemental with these guys though. I mean, so what if they're "hicks"? This is just another tag name to put people down. ... That is how movements get corrupted and people get labeled. Get into music for music's sake. I also feel if you're looking for some sort of meaning behind these guys, you have problems. These guys are strictly about rock and roll in my opinion. You know--The Stooges, Kiss, The Nuge, AC/DC, etc. I am seeing these guys live March 28 with REO Speed Dealer, Fu Manchu, and of course Motorhead. Hopefully they will rock and roll. I feel bad for these guys that people are pinholing them as a metal band, but that's what happens if you're on a major label. Some guy who thinks Styx is too hard is telling you and "selling" you that you're metal. You've got to roll with the punches I guess. Besides if you're that dumb that you think these guys are some sort of a "metal" band, you are just buying the album for the cover and not listening to the music. I do have a lot of respect for the girls, namely Ruyter and Cory for doing what they do. The majority of people whether they are male or female wouldn't have the guts to get up there basically naked and attempt to play music of any kind. It is interesting but not surprising (she's at least 6') to note that Cory's brother is a professional basketball player for the Timberwolves, I think. Don't buy this for any reason if you do not like straight up maximum rock and roll.

4 out of 5 stars Yeehaw.......1999-02-05

Rock and roll the way it was meant to be- raw, loud and fast. Oh yeah, and with two blond amazon guitarists who breathe fire. Short on chops but still tight. Over the top energy and attitude.

5 out of 5 stars Mikey Ramone from Las Vegas is "Pussy"whipped!.......1999-02-02

THIS ALBUM ROCKS. I have not been so blown away by a debut album since "opiate " by Tool. Can't wait to see these guys live, If you like rock and roll in the vein of Motorhead, Iggy Pop, AC/DC or the Reverend Horton Heat, do yourself a HUGE favor and get Nashville Pussy.

3 out of 5 stars One big package.......1999-01-31

NP has carved their own dirty niche in rock. Using formulas in everything from their stage show to their lone album, the tried but true actions pay off live but come up short on record (like the early Who and the Doors). Clocking in at only 27 minutes, NP uses clever hooks and the usual bag of "momma's gonna hate this" words and subjects that may have been new in 1977, but aren't too threatening in 1998. The live shows come off much better as NP is a full metal assault on all 5 senses. Using just sound and sight in buying this album is far too limiting for on the edge circus act that has a lot to offer in this age of preprogrammed electechtronica.

4 out of 5 stars ROCKS!!!!!.......1999-01-23

If you can imagine a sleazy southern version of motorhead then you have Nashville Pussy.

5 out of 5 stars Return of the helluva good dirt rock !.......1999-01-15

Nashville Pussy... even the name sounds good. These guys & gals really know how to get it going, there's enough drive to get a heavy truck rolling.

When I got this cd it took me 4 days to change the record altough this is bit short release. But if the songs are good they don't have to be over 4 minutes.

4 out of 5 stars The Rods Rock!.......2006-08-11

This is good, old-school, head-banging, fist-pounding metal. Nothing too complicated here, but it doesn't have to be. If you wanna rock like it's 1984, then this is a great place to start!

4 out of 5 stars Hot! .......2005-08-10

Great classic Heavy Metal band at one of its best. "Let Them Eat Metal" composition was hit in Poland played on the radio many times in the middle of eighties.
...by the way: cover is very original and very hot too.

5 out of 5 stars "80'S CLASSIC".......2004-05-28

A hidden gem! I bought it when it first came out and now I can't live without it. My LP got scratched and for many years I searched everywhere for the CD until I finally found it as a German Import. I would have payed 10 times the price, it's just that good and essential to my Metal collection. I bought two just to make sure I never had to go without ever again. All their releases are good but just take one look at this cover and you know that you're in for a treat. The Rods are probably the most underated band of the 80's. They never got the respect that they deserve. This CD is a must for those who love pure Hard Rock at it's best. Pick this one up. You'll thank me later.

4 out of 5 stars Vintage Stripped Down Metal at it's Best!.......2000-10-05

This album is a time trip back to the early 80's music scene. No "Glam" here. Just a raw power trio cranked up and smokin'. I've had this album in my collection for over 15 years now and I'm glad they are reissuing it, since my copy is worn out! Not perfect, but a fun record. The sometimes muddy mix loses the lyrics and the lead guitar work on occasion. The lyrics can get a bit tedious since they verge on the death metal side every now and then, but if you want a hard CD that will help you stay awake and drive cross country, this will. Not for the faint hearted. Track nine is possibly the ultimate "Telling Off Your ExGirlfriend Tune." The title track will have the guy in the next lane glaring at you if you crank it up with the windows down, but ignore him and just floor it when the light changes. The Rods are real memory lane nasty school boy stuff like old AC/DC and Judas Priest, just pared down to the basic elements. 'Nuff said.

4 out of 5 stars Nashville Pussy Rocks!!.......1999-07-11

I first heard Nashville Pussy when I bought the soundtrack to Dee Snider's STRANGELAND. I was blown away, I wanted to go out and buy the album right away. They're very cool and fun to listen to. I think they should get a song played on the radio, it would let more people know about them.

4 out of 5 stars Loud fast, heavy, yet unbelievably catchy..........1998-07-29

I first heard of these guys in a short article of Guitar World and later found this CD at a music show for pretty cheap and decided to pick it up. While the songs are very heavy complete with loud vocals, humorous lyrics, heavy fast power chords, and screaming solos, what do you expect from a 90's punk band? NP proves to the world, that they play what they want to and not what the public wants to hear. Their live shows sound very interesting complete with a fire-breathing bassist and crazy stage antics. If you like it loud and fast, give this one a try! You gotta love the cover too, heh.
