Traveling light.......2002-10-30

Overall, I enjoyed this but was annoyed with the fact there was no band but a sound engineer that rolled a tape every time Rik was ready to play another tune. I guess I'm just not foreign enough and long for more soulful, earth-shaking, southern-American rock but this does rate 3.5-4 stars and it is interesting.

Berklee hosts & Rik Plays flawlessly.......2002-01-19

Really a treat to listen to. Well done all the way around. The sound quality as well as track selection is superb. Rik's playing takes you everywhere at light speed and brings you back to your senses as he jokes and rips into another selection. Awesome listening material and very professionally done. Buy it, enjoy it, a great live album with taste. No wasted time here.

live at berklee has something hpt everyone from fusion to rock to classical flamingo guitar. cd opens with two fusion songs that remind me of the old blow by blow and wired days of jeff beck or to the youngsters joe satriana or eric johnson sound of today.the third song is a rockin blues tunes called gasoline.besides great music rik has a great sense of humor

Emmett's finest hour.......2000-09-04

If you love music you will love this CD. Rik Emmett explores every style of music on this live masterpiece. Although Triumph (Emmett's former band) was known for it's dazzling light shows and pyrotechnics they were never a great sounding live band. Emmett on his own relies on his music not the special effects. Without a big label calling the shots Rik has given us some of the best music a fan could ask for. In this album Rik gives us a full dose of the kind of great music he flirted with in his Triumph days. The vocals are sharp and crisp and the instrumentals are played with a lot of heart and guitar prowess. Do yourself a favor and pick this CD up.

Just Gets Better.......2000-07-27

This is a wonderful CD which captures the magic of Rik's solo acoustic performances. His virtuosity and style mix perfectly with his on-stage charisma, and sense of humor. Rik just keeps getting better. Rock, blues, jazz, classical... he does it all.

This album is a must-have.
