You won't believe this CD!.......2004-05-26
This is one of the most original yet rocking CD's I have ever heard. The change of time signatures (recorded with no click tracks) and musicianship will amaze. Raw and in your face, but delicate and powerful. The opening track is one of the greatest rock songs ever.........I stumbled across them through a friend the same year this came out. I still find it in my CD player frequently as nothing much has come out in the last decade to even begin to rival these guys. It is out of print and rare to find, so do yourself a major favor and pick up a used copy quick. You will thank me!
Metal meets rock meets jazz.......2003-03-06
These guys are totally original and really rock. There's a nice mix of hard rock/metal riffs, rock riffs, and then some jazzy riffs to keep it interesting. Kinda hard to explain/compare, but these guys really had some talent.

Album Description
The CD features a mix of standards, arrangements and originals. The centerpiece of this disc is the four-movement Suite by Harold Blanchard, who has composed works for Chick Corea and Hubert Laws. The trio is supplemented by guest guitarist Tony D'Addono on this work.

Each track on this gorgeous CD offers the listener something different (and unexpected). This classically trained quartet offers a refreshing respite from the same old jazz standards. Groovy, beautiful sound.
Imaginative, unique approach to jazz........2001-06-08
Terry Klinefelter is an extremely gifted pianist whose CD, Simple Gifts, stirs the imagination. The harmonic and chordal changes are unusual and beautiful, especially in the first, title tune. Paul Klinefelter (Terry's husband?) also performs on bass, and is the composer of the second tune, "Camel Humps." All the instrumentalists are great! A lovely, unusual CD
