European Nu-Metal.......2004-08-04

I accidentally came accros Dreadlock Pussy on the net and after hearing just one song, I knew that this is nu-metal at its best. I have heard a couple of songs from this cd and I totally loved them all. In my opinion this is the best nu-metal band that came from Holland. I totally recommend this cd to all nu-metal freaks out there.

The best of Limp Bizkit meets Slipknot.......2002-08-30

I've read some reviews that compare Dreadlock Pussy to Limp Bizkit. They do have a few things in common, without the wining, but I think a better choice is Slipknot. The guitars are as heavy as you can get and the vocals can get just as heavy. They do have a few songs that have that "rapcore" quality to them, but mostly they are singing. They somehow even manage to throw in some melody with all the heaviness. Over all, I really injoyed this album. My personal fav..."Leaves of Grass" check it out.

good but..........2002-06-24

this is not the best nu-metalrelease from holland. This band tries to mix up coal chambers spookycore and (hed)pe's rapmetal and it actually works on some songs (choke, altamira and snuff) but there's a lot better nu-metal in holland and belgium just to name a few: the semitones, dimension seven, gazzoleen, liftid, 88 circles above, etc.

First of all, I would like to say that everyone who sees this band as a cheap Korn cq spookycore-clone: you're hereby cursed! This album by this dutch spookycoreband shows enough arguments to get rid off those stupid prejudices! This band fabricates fat guitarriffs with a delightfull swinging groove. The singing varietes from fat screams to aggressive rap and speaken melodic singing. The honesty dripps from this album! Where other Korn/Limp Bizkit bands try to forced to become hip and fat, this band makes music that sounds like it's coming directly from the heart! A broken heart that is. It's super aggressive and still the whole album stays melodic and catchy. After an variety of 11 songs you will be exhausted and begging for more. (well, I was indeed!) The production is for European standards from a abnormal high level! Exciting and a strange way of mixing makes the album very good! ALTAMIRA is a song where the drums are really mixed terrific. On NEXT QUESTION you can even hear a female singer sing in the background and that's touchingly beautiful. This band is a revelation to the whole spookycore-business and is definately good enough to get in competition with bands like Hed PE and even Korn and Limp Bizkit. So, no matter where you're from, buy this album! Maybe my english is not so good, but I do know one thing: if you have any sense of the spookycore/numetal style, you have to own this album! Thanks!
