Customer Reviews:
Death Metal From Hell!.......2005-06-11
I'm a BIG Sinister fan,
got all of their albums,
all of their albums are great,
but I found that this is my personally favorite.
First of all,
Those songwriting is very great!
Mostly those guitar riff is kinda melodic,
I mean kinda,
Not melodic like Arch Enemy or In Flames.
They not doing straight forward brutal stuff,
They always slow the music down with some really heavy riff,
then built it up again and go to light speed!
They got some great melody but at the same time keep it brutal,
The balance is very well in this album,
which their other albums can't do!
[Lots of other Sinister albums are more brutal, like Hate and Diabolical Summoning.]
The production of this album is one of the biggest reason to make this album even better,
I never heard anything in Death Metal got a sound better than this for my taste,
I always love RAW production,
And this album is RAW but not fxxk up,
Everything is clear but they keep it a nice raw tone!
Mike[vocal] which i check their interview said he read lots of book and many other thing about Hell,
So his lyrics all about hell and Death,
Not some other Gore Killing lyricsl ike other Death metal do,
Some of his lyrics is deep and creepy.
And Mike is well known who's have a Great Death Voice,
His voice in this album is just sounds like a Goddamn monster who live in hell for thousand years!!!!!
Mike voice and lyrics, those killing melodic and Raw production,
Make this album sounds like something from hell,
I never heard anything in Death Metal makes me feel like hell like this one!
My favorite song..... is WHOLE album!
But I can choose "Doomed" is my most impress song ever,
The opening riff is SO GREAT!
I could never forget this song, those riff in my live, forever!
I heard lots of great Death Metal albums,
Cross The Styx is up in my favorite list,
I'm sure this one is up on my Top 3!
One of the Finest Death Metal album ever made!
Holland's Cannibal Corpse.......2004-05-03
This is the only CD I've heard by Sinister so far. I like the fact that it's brutal and heavy and don't mind the vocals. But I just can't get into it. I find their style boring and repetitive. If you like Cannibal Corpse, then you'll probably enjoy this. They put on a great show though.
All Hail Sinister!!.......2003-03-28
This is by far my favorite Sinister album. You can really see their brutal roots on this album. It's much faster and layered than their later albums, but you can still hear their intricate time changes and flawless execution. In my opinion this is a perfect album.
Amazing Death Metal.......2002-10-16
This album and Sinister's other masterpiece "Diabolical Summoning" are at a very minimum 2 of the best death metal releases of all time. Especially when you look at it among other debut materials from death metal bands. For those unfamililar with Sinister's sound, it's like a combination of Suffocation and Vomitory. The vocals in this band are what I consider to be the very definition of death metal vox in the industry, and this bands technicality is also a huge bonus. The drumming is top notch and superior, and the guitars are great, considering some solos are thrown into the mix. Some stand out tracks are "Spiritual Immolation", "Compulsory Resignation" and "Putrefying Remains". I very highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the genre!
ALSO! Even though I don't see it listed here on the website, Sinister recently released a re-issue of "Diabolical Summoning" and "Cross the Styx" on one album for a total of 20 amazing tracks! Awesome! Check it out!
Totally Sinister Brutal Death.......2002-02-16
This is the first Sinister album and like Diabolical Summoning, it's also a classic and just as devestating. Prepare yourself for a ride through Hell and even though Hell is a really bad place, this album will make it enjoyable only you're a fan of totally brutal death metal. Some of my favorites here are Parennial Mourning, Doomed, Cross The Styx, Corridors To The Abyss and Putrifying Remians. That track will leave in limbo. If you're into Nile, Malevolent Creation, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide and Morbid Angel, get this and take the ride. You'll enjoy it.
