This album is the beginning of a much better period in Sodom's long history. Not only is this album one of the band's heaviest albums ever made, but it's one of the best I've ever heard in thrash metal PERIOD! The album before this one, 'Get What You Deserve,' doesn't even come close to this one in every way & the same goes for 'Tapping the Vein.' I can't speak much for the albums before 'Tapping..." but from what I've listened to they still don't compare to 'Masquerade in Blood' & all albums after. If you love thrash the WAY IT SHOULD BE, then don't pass this one up!

This is a very nice effort from this german band to remain on top of the world's thrash bands.By far their best album is Persecution Mania.
