Other/ original 10: 'Long Legged Lisa', 'Underneath The Light', 'Ace Supreme', 'Johnny', 'In Your Eyes', 'Rolling With My Baby', 'Wounded Heart', 'Sold Me Down The River', 'Rock And Roll Band' and 'Silver Boogie'. Influenced greatly by T.Rex & set out to rival Bowie, Bolan and Jagger, the overlooked act was calledby one critic 'the greatest undiscovered Glam Pop band of all time'.

I love Silverhead but this is a "tape recorder in front pocket at a concert" recording......dont expect too much ,though its a beautiful packaging it doesn't make up for the sound (ticks,clicks,Rod's guitar is barely heard,vocals muffled).But I still love it ....where else are You going to find this great band's mark in rock (besides s/t & 16 & savaged)history??????? I'm keeping mine .....keep rocking, E.Raymond

      The fact about this band has not matched the whole success they really deserved (to fans like me and probably you) maybe can be explained by the period they brought themselves to light, I mean, a transitional time for rock'n'roll. Sometimes I think that Glam Rock perished in reason of has been smashed between the Prog Rock and the Hard one. Besides it, there also were too many glam "primma donnas" struggling hard for the best places under the strobes (Jagger, Bowie, Bolan) when Des Barres came out. A remarkable point is that there were some others great UK bands that, amazingly, have not glittered so much during that particular age - from beggining to the middle of 70's. Babe Ruth is other good example that comes to my mind.

      At least five songs of this album are very good: Rolling With My Baby, Johnny, Ace Supreme, Rock And Roll Band and Long Legged Lisa. Des Barres was an excellent rock singer, and the band was really great.

      Make no mistake about it. This is the real deal. Car exhaust vocals, raunchy guitar riffs, hand-clap boogie beats. It's all here. Michael Des Barres is a rock god. We can forgive his later acting endeavors because he has contributed immeasurebly to the rock n roll pantheon of all-time-great rock star singers. Ian Gillan, Paul Rodgers, Robert Plant have nothing on this guy. "Rolling with my Baby" is probably one of the greatest rock n roll songs of all time and it is only a matter of time before some brave soul stands up on VH1 "Lists" and declares it so. Are there any takers?

      One of the original u.k garage, glitter bands, the band worked hard but never quite got the recognition they truly deserved.This album represents their early live set that was always tight and includes some good songs. Couldnt get radio airplay but great live band. Truly one of the uk bands that should have but didnt make it.

      Michael De bar's vocals wrap around slahing guitars like velvet. Music is crisp yet unpredictable. If you like the glitter era of music? You will love silverhead.
