The birth of more than a Metal band.......2006-02-01

Loudness' first album is not only one of the greatest debut albums of any Metal band ever, but the debut of a turn of ideas in metal in general. It can be said that the guitar ideas expressed in this album are nothing new, while still being original, but there is a definite vibe and overall atmosphere to it that few other metal albums contain. More than just party rock, the absence of English lyrics make for a more rewarding listen. Rock/Metal lyrics generally succumb to a certain banality due to the importance placed on the guitar work, so in this case, you can feel the lyrics and what the singer wanted to get across instead of focusing on what might not be the most thoughtful lyrics. (Unless of course you understand Japanese, in which case you will still enjoy the album as a whole.) Highly recommended.

Loudness Birthday Eve Remastered.......2005-02-20

This is Loudness' debut album from 1981. Although the music has a 70's sound and feel, it sounds great nonetheless. This 24-bit remastered release includes two extra tracks: 'Burning Love' and 'Bad News' -- these bonus tracks are worthwhile, and pretty much on par with the sound of this album. Although I have no trouble listening to the entire album, 'Loudness' and 'To Be Demon' are my favorites from the original release.

The first excellent CD by Loudness........2004-01-08

This is Loudness first album and probably their second best studio album after Disillusuion. This album has a raw passion that makes you want to move your head in that familiar back and forth motion. I can't remember the last rock album that gave me that feeling. As with all early Loudness albums the chorus is sung in English but most of the rest of the lyrics are incomprehensible. It does not matter. This is one of the best rock albums ever made. Minoru demonstrates his full vocal range which is impressive (reminds me of early Geddy Lee and Rob Halford in their prime). Of course Akira demonstates his mastery of guitar early and often on this CD. There is an influence of early Rush evident on Akiras work on this album. I would actually rank this album above Law Of Devils Land, which has a much more sterile sound. Of the four great studio albums released before they became Americanized (which led to their fall from greatness) the only one which has not been re-released on CD yet is Devil Soldier. If you want the best Loudness albums they are: Birthday Eve, Law Of Devils Land, Disillusion, LIVE-LOUD-ALIVE (Loudness in Tokyo), and Devil Soldier(the second album by Loudness, still waiting to be re-released). There are not many hard rock albums that deserve five stars, this is definitely one of them.

This CD is the America-themed single. One of Koda's sweetest songs in her 12-single country-themed releases. The song, as well as the music video, is sugary cute. It's a combination of pop and jazz that makes your ears happy, without being too girl pop-ish! Worth the money!

Very Jazzed up, and fun sounding.......2005-12-26

This is number 2 of the 12 singles she's releasing from now until Febuary 2006! "Birthday Eve" is sort of like her single "Chase" from the album "secret" and her recent album "BEST~first things~". It's got the loud saxophone in the background, and of course great vocals. This also has great lyrics once you read them in english translation. Here's the track listing for this single:
