Soon after the release of these albums , Nugent would become a solo superstar throughout the rest of the decade. Call Of The Wild was released in 1973, followed one year later by Tooth Fang & Claw. An All-Time Classic.......2005-02-02

This is a GREAT Ted Nugent album - one album prior to becoming
famous as the wildman (who I've gotta admit I sometimes think
is a bit over the top...)

Anyway, I think this album is a bit longer on music and slightly
less on general bad-ass attitude. Great White Buffalo is
fabulous, but all of the songs are good to great. Memorable.
A couple are instrumental. But all of them are absolutely
cranking guitar-god genius.

I had this album on LP way back when, then on tape for the last
however many years that this album wasn't available.

Until today - when I'm absolutely gonna order a brand new CD!

Ted Nugent, popularly known as The Nuge, is incredible. with such song titles as "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang," "Wango Tango," "Yank Me Crank Me," "terminus Eldorado," "Wang Dang Doodle," et al, his penchant for giving his songs titles on the very bleeding edge of controversy is unrivaled. Match that with brilliant album titles such as "If you Can't Lick 'Em ... Lick 'Em," and you have yourself one hell of a motor city madman.

he wears loin cloths made of animal skins. He hunts with a bow in his yard. And he married like a 16 year old. So he is awesome.

Classic Nuge.......2007-01-05

THis album's classic sound is hard to beat. I know RYKO released the disk. But it is hard to find. I dont think it is worth 50-100 bucks though. I think I have seen copies of it for 10-20 dollars.

ONE OF HIS BEST.......2006-05-20

OK, I agree it's more Ted than Dukes but who cares. It's defenitely one of the Nuge's best. Personally I think his greatest period started with Call of the wild (the album before this one) and lasted until Weekend warriors. Then he got silly. There are some real classics on this one, e.g. Hibernation and Great white buffalo. And yeah, Mabelline is a joke. Who could take it seriously?

I burned out two copies of the LP. Great White Buffalo is a true Sweaty-Teddy song. It's just too bad that the disc isn't available. (unless you're willing to pay upwards of $100 for a $12 CD

Don't take it so seriously. He's also showing off his chops. This is the best Ted album, period, IMHO. Can't wait until he remasters it and rereleases it. That's why I searched and found these reviews. Until then, the vinyl will do.

Why isn't this album re-issued?.......2004-02-15

This is a great Ted Nugent album, the album before
he became famous as Ted Nugent (and got a little too
crude sometimes). Just an absolutely great album that
totally cranks. Great White Buffalo is classic.
