Europe sound with steroids, and with influence from the '90, like Motley Crue, Skid Row. Good work...Kee Marcello still rocks!

I have been a fan of Kee's since his days in Europe. I love his guitar playing & sound. This cd has a more modern rock sound than an 80's/90's Europe style. But his solos range from Europe to modern. I like the songs Hey Romeo, Comin' Home & Epic. Overall Kee shows us how diverse his style can be while giving his fans what they want - great rock guitar licks & solos.

A real guitar-oriented hard rock album!!!.......2004-10-30

The much-awaited (well, at least by me!!!) second solo effort by Kee Marcello is truly excellent. After the much softer "Shine On" (where ths focus is on composition in a very laid-back style, not on guitar playing) Kee returns with an album filled with killer guitars. His tone is similar to the one he had in Europe's Out of this world...the compositions are a good mix of classic hard rock with a modern twist...the songs sound classic, yet with an updated sound...every guitar rock lover should give this record a try!!!! Faves: Enemies, Tatoo for Patoo, If, Epic, EMD, Coming home.

Solid Guitar work!.......2004-08-24

Kee Marcello's guitar work on Europe's Out of this world was truly wonderful. Filled with fat tone, great phrasing, and tons of super cool hand vibrato. His work on Europe's follow up CD Prisoners in Paradise, was good not quite as spectacular. This new release from Kee, K2, truly delivers a much needed shot in the @$$ with some serious and fresh killer guitar work. It's so nice especially these days in particular where you have to really know which rock, no, strike that, which pebble to look under to find a measly crumb of quality electric rock guitar music. Kee's work on this CD is solid throughout. Some of his riffs harkens back to the Out of this World solos, filled with rich tones and singing with vibrant melody. The Vocal's aren't bad, although I have to admit I really didn't give a damn about them, but it's actually not to painful to listen to while you're waiting with baited breath for the next solo to soar above all lyrical mediocrity. This gets 5 stars from me just based on the fact that this kind of guitar playing is all but extinct now. I can still be myopic and think that someday musicianship will prevail over the almighty pop music machine. But unfortunately I am a realist so, alas, I know better...

For Most People Kee is Known as the Guitar Player of Swedish Multiplatinum Supergroup Europe, which Launched their Flight Into International Superstardom with "The Final Countdown" in the Mid 80's. But for his Many Fans all Over the World He is Much More Than That. In 1982 Marcello's Glam Rock Band Easy Action Got a Direct Signing with Legendary Sire, Discovered by Record Industry Icon Seymour Stein. He Recorded Two Albums with them ("Easy Action" and "That Makes One") and Toured Extensively Until He Joined Europe in 1986.
