There I was in Tokyo and I found my version of heaven. Yamaguchi Towers or something the place was called. Seven floors of music and music related stuff.

Two albums I picked up were this release - which I believe is the first solo album by this guy and also his slightly later album called Wa.

My advice is to go straight to Wa, for this album is horrid. Track 6 is called Gunshots and is one of the few highlights. The rest is dreadful. This guy can really, really play. His style is one that I love so much and it's such an important part of the sound of his usual band Loudness that where this uninspired pile came from is beyond me. It's not badly played - just bad! I must admit that I only have the original recording but even re-recording this wouldn't help, and on the couple of tracks with vocals - it's enough to clear a building.

The title sums this up - it doesn't even make sense. Tusk of Jaguar (take another bite). Seriously, with all the tourists etc around couldn't they of walked out onto the sidewalk to ask a passing Westerner if the title at least made grammatic sense?
