Becoming One's Parents.......2007-07-26

Well, this is one of those guilty pleasures that I shouldn't have, but I LOOOVE this album. I can recall hearing it in the late 1960s, as "old people" (i.e., 30 years old and above) listened to it, and I remember thinking "this isn't so bad." Now, the generation has turned and I'm listening to it and guess what--my kids are not complaining. The grooves and hooks are so thick you can walk on them.

I am repeating this story you are about to read as it gives an explanation of why I love this music so much! "Whipped Cream & Other Delights" has many of the songs on it used on the ride you are about to read about. It is one of my favorite Herb albums for that reason and I was mesmerized(as a kid)looking at that gorgeous cover! That being said....Please read on.....I have fond memories of the music of Herb Alpert! I was introduced to him at an early age as my parents were fans of his records. I didn't hear much of him again until I was coming of age in Wildwood N.J. at the age of 15 when I used to party under the boardwalk with my friends and our girlfriends underneath Hunt's Pier's "El Scrambler" ride. The ride played Herb Alpert tunes non stop! I guess you could say I became a "Man" underneath that pier with my first love listening to the Tijuana Brass. Later in life in my 30's I was taking a break from playing in a band in the local bars,I became a DJ and I would mix Herb Alpert in my mixes and buy shots of Tequila for my fans! To this day when I play these songs at parties we all look for the Tequila bottle! This is a one of a kind sound and if I were stranded on a desert island with only a few albums, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass would be included in that collection! This is one of his best albums. I no longer own the original records so, I can not say if the new cd's are true to the originals. They sound fantastic to my ear!

Vintage Delights.......2007-05-14

It had been a long time since I heard this album on vinyl, but all the memories came flooding back. I had forgotten how well Herb and the guys actually played, and that each piece had its own hook! I recommend this CD as a piece of pop musical history, whose sound is every bit as fresh today as it was 40 years ago.

Whipped Cream: Not for the Lactose Intolerant........2007-04-29

1965's Whipped Cream & Other Delights transformed Dolores Erickson into the bonafide superstar of my adolescent whipped cream fantasies. Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass didn't do so bad, either, spending an incredible 8 straight weeks at the top of the charts. The memorable cover might have accounted for a large percentage of sales, especially among my demographic, but the music didn't hurt.

This is a prime example of the 60's "concept" album, with all of the intrumentals named after food. Lollipops & Roses." "A Taste of Honey" and the Dating Game theme "Whipped Cream." Etc. Etc. It caught the Zietgeist and rode it like a wave. Boys in Elementary School were inspired to learn the trumpet. I, among them.

I think the first record I purchased was Herb Alpert & TJB, but it wasn't this album, it was a 45 single.

I later did get this album, and several others of theirs, and then my neighbor's mother borrowed it for a wild party, and it got scratched from all the crazy drunken dancing.

Interesting but can't top the original.......2007-06-07

There are some interesting interpretations here of the songs from the classic "Whipped Cream and Other Delights", but none of them are as good or better than the originals. If you haven't heard the classic TJB albums in a while, listen to them again. They're truly timeless, no remixing necessary.

So much more than mindless muzak--but maybe not so for Herb Alpert purists..........2007-06-01

Herb Alpert always enjoyed being on the cutting edge; and this album allows him to work with some of the more successful remixers in the industry. Together they create a new type of Herb Alpert album: one that is rich with the classic flavors of Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass but gets served up fused with more modern beats that almost resemble rap or a hip-hop flavor.

The opening track entitled "Whipped Cream" has a great bass beat and makes good use of the horns; it also has a lounge music flavor to it. "A Taste Of Honey" begins with a beautiful but somewhat melancholy introduction by the horns--but then the percussion comes in to spice it up. When the piano comes in this number is REALLY jamming! You also get a lot of electricity in the new rendition of "Green Peppers;" the electrical piano and bass by Anthony Marinelli fits in rather well.

Other good tracks on this CD include "Love Potion #9" which features Asdru Sierra performing the vocals to perfection; and "El Garbanzo" retains the most of the traditional Herb Alpert style. The horns are great for "El Garbanzo;" and both the percussion and the piano enhance the quality of this number.

"Bittersweet Samba" has a great Latin beat to it; and the last track "Butterball" has a psychedelic flavor superimposed upon the more traditional arrangement. The strength of this unexpected combination of styles makes for a strong ending for the CD!

Herb Alpert plays improvisational trumpet throughout the CD; and it's great to see him going strong as other reviewers note. Some other reviewers write that they heard a better track set than they expected; and I agree with them. I didn't expect this CD to have such a modern twist to it but it works well.

The liner notes give you the song credits and the art work is great!

Overall, fans who want to enjoy that classic Herb Alpert sound probably will be disappointed with this album. It's not immediately clear that this album contains only recently remixed tracks so please think about this before you decide to spend your money on this CD!

I highly recommend this for people who enjoy new twists on previously released music that offer creativity and freshness. Herb Alpert purists will enjoy this CD less, unfortunately. For that I have to take off one star to make this a four star review.

New but definitely not better.......2007-05-26

Listening to this new CD, I thought it sounded much slower than the original. Was my memory off after a few decades? I later listened to the original LP and found it was this new CD, not my memory, that was off. The original has real pep. This CD seems about to enter siesta mode. The good news is that there are now many 4 in 1 players on the market that give listeners the opportunity to play the original LP and hear this great album, one of the classics of all time.

who's brilliant idea was this, anyway? remix herb alpert? gimmie a break. i can't see how herb's core audience of old-timers would appreciate this, and i also can't see how the "headz" would like this, either. herb should've just made a new record with a young & current producer. way too cheesy for everyone...

Herb Alpert & The TJB Greatest Hits.......2007-03-04

Herb Alpert stared in the television special The Brass Are Comin, and recorded the soundtrack album to go along with it, and then got bored and tired of playing the same shows and staying in the same hotels, so he disbanded the popular Tijuana Brass, which was still popular at the time of the breakup in 1969. It was time for a Greatest Hits record, a series for A&M artists which included The Baja Marimba Band, Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66, The Sandpipers, and Wes Montgomery.
This collection features many of his early hits when the Tijuana Brass was just a bunch of studio musicians. The Lonely Bull, Tijuana Taxi, Spanish Flea, Zorba the Greek, Mexican Shuffle. They're all there. It's a fairly nice collection. But after you get this one, look into Greatest Hits Volume 2.

Some of the best of Herb Alpert's Americachi music from the first half of his career.......2006-06-15

Once upon a time Herb Alpert and his partner Jerry Moss created A&M, which was run out of Alpert's garage. Eventually the artist owned label would be producing the records of Joe Cocker, the Carpenters, Cat Stevens, and Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66, but the signature sound remained that of Herp Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. In 1965 they had hit singles with "A Taste of Honey" and "Spanish Flea," off of the hit albums "Whipped Cream and Other Delights" and "Going Places." Alpert's most popular album, "What's Now My Love," came out the following year, along with "S.R.O." as his Latin-influenced "Ameriachi" music showed significant longevity with 1968's "Beat of the Brash" being the fifth album to reach the top of the charts. The great irony was that when it came to hit singles, the first one to hit #1 on the Billboard was Burt Bacharach's "This Guy's in Love With You" in which Alpert actually did a vocal.

The Americachi formula is fairly simple: Alpert's trumpet defines the melody over a Latin rhythm section, sometimes with airy wordless vocals by nameless singers. The twelve collected on "Definitive Hits" date from Herb Alpert's first chart success, 1962's "The Lonely Bull (El Solo Torro)" (#6) to "Zorba the Greek" (#11) in 1966. In between we have "The Mexican Shuffle" (#85), "Taste of Honey" (#7), "Whipped Cream" (#68), "Spanish Flea" (#27), and "Tijuana Taxi" (#38). The only complaint is that this album was put out in 1970, so that really is about the half way point in terms of Alpert's career and only accounts for the first five albums he released with the Tijuana Brass. That means you are missing out on songs like "Casino Royale" (#27) and their only #1 hit, "This Guy's in Love With You," with the delicious irony that Alpert sings on it. For that you have to wait until Volume 2, which was released in 1973. Consequently, while this is a decent collection of early hit, this is not a comprehensive collection and the fact is that you are not going to get that when you limit yourself to one CD and only a dozen tracks. This is to be expected with an artist who had five #1 albums. So you might have several Tijuana Brass albums at home, but a collection like one would be a decent one for the car (I think this is really good music to listen to in a traffic jam), but you can certainly do better.

Historically, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass are the most successful instrumental artists between the end of the Big Band era and today. When you look at their competition you are usually talking piano players like Roger Williams and Richard Clayderman, along with orchestras led by the likes of Henry Mancini, Montavani, and Lawrence Welk. But with most of those artists you are talking about elegant and sophisticated covers of songs associated with others (Mancini being the exception that proves the rule here). Alpert did write a few of the songs that made the charts, but none of them are included here. However, with most of these songs these are the versions you hear when you think of "A Taste of Honey" or "Spanish Flea." Of course, those songs will make you think of "The Dating Game," because that was the intro music for the bachelor, while "Whipped Cream" was the intro music for the bachelorette (remember the album cover and the connection is obvious), and the intro music for the date was "Lollipops and Roses."

The Best Spanish Trumpet Music Ever Made.......2005-11-20

If you remember back to the mid 60's and early 70's, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass music was on AM Top-40 radio stations, with hits like "A Taste of Honey", "The Lonely Bull", and "Tijuana Taxi". The sound was distinctively Herb's, with a his solo trumpet backed up by a solid brass unit and marimba band. The sound was definitely pleasing, catchy, and non-threatening (a real trick in the mid-60's!) The Tijuana Brass' records sold better than almost anything on the market. Its first sixth albums, released in rapid succession, racked up over 11 million copies sold in just three years. This Greatest Hits album was a huge success as well. Alpert's music was heard daily on the TV show "The Dating Game". I absolutely love this record album. The music is light and easy to listen to. I also love the sound of spanish influenced trumpet backed by the marimba band; music to my ears!

Herb Alpert released 15 albums in all, including several compilations, with the group before disbanding it in 1972 to concentrate on running A&M Music (Alpert is the "A" in A&M - the "M" is for Moss). Alpert married singer Lani Hall, who'd been the original lead singer with one of A&M's hottest groups, Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66, in 1973. Alpert continued to record on his own intermittently, and eventually expanded his entertainment enterprise to include radio and television productions. He also hit the charts again in 1979 with his single, "Rise." "Rise" is not on this album. Alpert and Moss of A&M records launched the music career of many groups, including the Carpenters.

There is nothing like Alpert's music on the radio today. If you long for excellent instrumental brass with heavy spanish flavor, this is the album you have been waiting for. It makes for great background music! I recommend it without reservation!

Though peers such as Hole's Courtney Love and Babes in Toyland's Kat Bjelland became more famous, no riot grrrl screamed with as much emotional force as Kathleen Hanna. Though it's frequently difficult to hear what she's saying, especially above the glorious din of Billy Karren's fierce guitar, Hanna declares herself a "self-fulfilling porno queen" on "Sugar," and threatens to "scratch out your eyes" with her "long red nails" in "Lil Red." The quartet's relentless hardcore is straight from the Dead Kennedys school, which means it's tough to take in large doses when you're in a reflective mood, but 1993's Pussy Whipped is one of the great punk albums of the '90s. --Steve Knopper

My favorite punk album of the 90s.......2007-02-04

Pussy Whipped is an amazing album. For me, it is the best of riot-grrrl. The sonic assault is awesome and evokes hardcore, the tunes catchy as hell and the lyrics sharp and fun (though sometimes a little difficult to hear). Kathleen Hannah's voice can both screech and sing, and it all sounds great. This is real punk, so that not even purists who care a lot about such categories could complain about it. I agree with Bikini Kill's message, but that's whole different thing. This album is cream of the crop on terms of MUSIC. The only fault I can think of is how short it is, but then again, that's the case with a lot of great punk albums...

Feminism musically expressed mid 90's. A masterpiece........2006-01-02

Ordinarily I don't write a review when there's already over 5 or so reviews. But, I can't help myself here. I made a 60 minute tape of this, the first split album and their other short album along with the Peel 7". I left off about 3 songs altogether. It made for one swingin' tape.

It wasn't till I was playing this CD in my car (keeps peace at home), loud, of course, that I realized this album is one of the few I've heard over 30 years that is just excellent from beginning to end.

Of course, they have their biggest hit single, or, if we had real radio stations, it would have been, 'Rebel Girl', just aching to be enjoyed by the masses but it'll never be. Instead, its up to those of us, like you folks looking them up on amazon.com, who get to track down their music and dig that high quality sound.

Inventors of riot grrl, 90's version (from what I can tell). I heard about 20 other riot grrl bands and none of them had the consistency and overall quality of BIKINI KILL. It's a mix of, as ever with any great band, very strong song writing and, in this case, intense lead vocals and winning lyrics. Carrying on with the noble punk tradition of not having records full of sappy love songs, these 3 ladies and a guy pack the lyrics with a full punch letting us know that feminist issues have not disappeared, without the band actually going out and obtaining a feminist membership card.

If only the YEASTIE GIRLZ had done as many records as BIKINI KILL did. Never heard of 'em? They only did a tape and a 7". Acappela 3 gals from Bay Area around mid 80's. Lovely. Similar lyrics and musically potent too, tho hard to really tell since, as I recall, they didn't use any instruments but their voices. Still, the songs were great.

If you only get one BIKINI KILL record, this is it. Reject All American has about 2 great songs, CD of their first 2 albums is about half brilliant songs. This release here is 100% pure pleasure. You know someone's angry here. chrisbct@hotmail.com

Feminism Is Still Relevant and Important.......2005-09-23

This album speaks to a cause, and this type of music usually ends up preaching to the choir, but so what the choir needs sermons too. Anyone who has felt the inside incinerating frustration that comes from being aware of the injustice to the "other" (all non white heterosexual males) inherent in most practiced western ideologies will smile at the angry irony in the tiny "cute" voice with which Kathleen Hanna delivers her biting testimonies of "otherness". There is a certain catharsis in this musical project which renders it inarticulate. The lyrics aren't all that eloquent, however, if you listen close you might notice they're pretty well read. Most people spend a lot more time with Michael Crichton than they do any theorist, but not Ms. Hanna. Musically the songs are energizing, melodies brewed according to a pretty standard punk formula. Unfortunately for you, Bikini Kill (now defunct)were probably at their best live. Live they could express themselves through action as well as music. Typically, Kathleen Hanna would remove an article of clothing at some point during the show, like her skirt, and state that her "big" ass adorned with cellulite and unflattering underwear was a "real ass" unlike that of say a playboy centerfold whose so air brushed she might as well be wearing clothes. A record can't compete with the way an action like that drives the message home. Feminism is still important. Those who believe riot grrls (however you want to call them or spell it) are redundant or unnecessary have been tricked. The power structure (which has not changed since the '60's) wants you to believe that it has reformed itself, and legally, technically it has. Laws are in place, and women in Illinois make 73 cents on every dollar a man does. Fair? Women have nothing to complain about? No, they shouldn't be complaining. What the are they doing out of the kitchen?

I'll scratch out yr eyes!.......2005-09-06

This is one of the best female albums I've ever heard!! I got their tape from a friend, and I listened to it and fell in love. The best songs are probably Speed Heart, Rebel Girl, and Lil Red. The screaming is rad, because they don't even try to sound cool or anything, they just plain scream. I love it!! I'll probably buy it on CD though, because tapes are smelly and annoying. But anyways, GO BUY IT!!

Kathleen Hannah is Angry.......2004-07-19

First of all, this CD is awesome. The whole feminist drive is amazing. I just have to say I read reviews for it and how they are pushing the feminist movement too far. I know that they dont stand for rape or whatever, but for not needing a man to tell you you're pretty or what have you. And on a second note, Kathleen Hannah is angry, she sings that way and it rules.

What a wonderful CD!.......2003-07-15

This really is a beautiful collection of music. "The Triumphs of Oriana" was published in 1601 by famous English composer Thomas Morley as a collection of songs honoring Queen Elizabeth (Oriana). 25 major English composers' songs are in here, except for William Byrd. The vocals are beautiful and really take the listener back to the golden age of European civilization. There are also several lute pieces inserted into the CD to add to the Renaissance feeling. This is an excellent CD!

The triumphs of I Fagiolini.......2002-08-25

The Triumphs of Oriana are a collection of polyphonic songs of the Elisabethian period published by Morley to honour Oriana (poetic nickname of Queen Elisabeth I). Therefore he collected songs composed by 25 wellknown English composers of his time (only William Byrd is missing) which all end with the words "Long life fair Oriana".
I already heard the Triumphs of Oriana sung by the King's Singers. This version by I Fagiolini sounds differently, as they are 7 men and 3 women instead of 6 men, but the result is very interesting: the female voices give indeed more brilliant to the sound.
Because this series was famous in its time among the amateurs, for private concerts, this CD includes various lute pieces in order to sound like an Elisabethian private concert.
Today, the listener has other standards and I don't find this idea is really good: it deforces the a cappella songs by a kind of intermezzo.
Anyway, the listener has yet the possibility to skip the lute pieces if he likes thanks to the miracle of the CD player.
In that case, the CD is really very good.

Raised On A Higher Level.......2005-08-18

When I first heard "Do You Know (Knife In Your Back)" I quickly grabbed a pencil and wrote the name of the band down on my list of bands to check out. After listening to "Scavenger" and "A.M.E.R.I.K.A." I decided to purchase the album. And I sure am glad I did.

Raised On Whipped Cream at its core is simple. Take catchy and unique punk rock songs and inject them with all the political messages you could want. Besides the message Brandon Jordan and crew are trying to deliver, each song presents something new. Rarely do I listen to an album where I can't say that one song sounds too much like another. This just isn't the case here. Each song is different in one way or another.

There also are few songs that are below the average. The list of great songs is impressive: "A.M.E.R.I.K.A", "Scavenger", "Do You Know (Knife In Your Back)", "Pull Out", "Entertained", "Penis Envy", "Freedom?", and "Classroom Blues". The only songs that don't compare to the forementioned list are "Where Go We", "Raised On Whipped Cream", and the bonus track.

While some may be turned off by Brandon Jordan's slightly raspy/whiny voice, I enjoyed it. It fits the mood and the sound of the music perfectly. The guitars, bass, and drums are all well done but none of them are going to blow you away.

(The following thoughts on the album art have no effect on my score. I just have an interest in graphics and photography so I'm always critiquing album covers.) The album art...sucks? Seriously. It's simplistic to the extreme and looks like it took about five minutes to make. And like so many bands, the members don't look at the camera in the photo with the exception of Jordan. The only plus is that the song list on the back is displayed like food nutrition information on the side/bottom of a box.

OVERALL: Buy it. Buy it today. Just don't let Killradio pass you by.

Oh My God.........2005-08-15

This band is unbelievable. My new favorite rock band. This CD blew me away, I knew I had to get it after hearing Do You Know on the internet. Every song on this album hit like a brick wall to just how good this band is, and I can't pick a favorite. Killradio is very underrated right now and I can't believe it, but give them a couple months and they're going to be huge. Just because MTV plays complete sh*t, along with 90% of every other tv & radio station. The lyrics are amazing; they are mostly about America, politics. I could connect with them beacause all their views are the same as mine on the world today (corrupt American gov't, a pointless war, school, and some of the ignorant American society.) Everyone who's smart will be able to connect with them too. Their sound, guitars, and drums are also amazing.

Go watch the Do You Know video on launch.com and you'll believe me right away. One of the best bands of all time, and one of my favorite cds. Watch out for them..They're coming..

Better than i thought.......2005-05-25

i heard these guys and their song "scavenger" on the need for speed underground 2 soundtrack, and i thought it was very different from what i usually listen to, i.e. tbs, the used, saosin, and other emo basically. i got their cd and wow. the lyrics are so much better than i could have hoped for. i like "pull out" the most. the best message is "penis envy", but thats prob cuz i'm not american.

I've been following KillRadio ever since I heard their sampler "Off With His Head", which included some pretty decent tracks like "AMERIKA", which is probably one of the better ones on "Raised on Whipped Cream".

This is obviously a band with lots to say, and I will say that it's nice to see a band that's so hardcore political. I haven't seen a band this devoted to current events and social issues since the Sex Pistols and the Clash. However, the difference between the Sex Pistols and Kill Radio is that the Pistols focused their attention equally on The Man and the music. KillRadio has a halfway decent sound, but the music as a whole seems like a thin background for Brandon Jordan's preachy lyrics.

Which isn't to say that this band is bad. This is only their first CD. To my knowledge, the band doesn't have that much of a following yet (I'm basing this on what I saw at Warped Tour, where they played to an audience of about 7 people, myself and my friend included). To really get good, KillRadio needs to get experience. As soon as they've gotten a bigger taste of the wide world, they'll get better. I'll continue to watch the band closely. I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll develop, and I hope that other listeners will give these guys the attention they deserve and obviously crave.

My friends. Good to see they're finally getting somewhere. This is a great cd from a bunch of cool people with a great live show. You won't be dissapointed with this one...I just can't get over the baby doin' the whip-it...that's great...

Smooth tones with a whole lot of Fun.......2002-04-17

This is simply a great CD. The Blenders do amazingly well blending together (fancy that), and the tones are too smooth! Their own songs are often hilarious (Accidental Lovers, Drive By, She Was Mine), and their covers make the originals sound lousy by comparison! There are few groups that can do a cappella better than these guys.

This is my favorite of the Blenders' CDs, probably because it sounds the most like they did back at Trollwood a long time ago. If only you all could have heard the original group do some of the numbers from "Guys and Dolls." Glad to see the group is doing well.

By adding a Mexican flavor to his trumpet-led Tijuana Brass, Herb Alpert had numerous hits. While Whipped Cream doesn't have the same feel as some of his other efforts, it still has a 1960s swing (that would be further enhanced today by a stiff cocktail and some comfortable dancing shoes). The sultry "Tangerine" continues the fruit theme of the hit "Lemon" with an equally ripe rendition. Part of Alpert and the Brass's popularity came from their fondness for other recent musical releases, and their cover of "Love Potion #9" actually rocks. Alpert's expertise with his instrument is showcased throughout Whipped Cream but is probably most evident in the bubbly "A Taste of Honey." WHIPPED CREAM'S secret revealed!.......2007-03-05

I'm going to reveal something here that few have ever noticed...

The girl on the WHIPPED CREAM & OTHER DELIGHTS cover is NOT sitting in a small mountain of whipped cream. It's true! She's got white cloth draped around her that's been dabbed strategically with shaving cream.

This first million-selling album for Herb Alpert & the TJB is still their very best. It features a solid program of instrumentals of varied mood and style-- there's even a polka here ("Peanuts"). The songs "Lollipops And Roses" and "Whipped Cream" were used for many years as incidental music on the ABC-TV game show THE DATING GAME. "A Taste Of Honey," the opening album track, was a Top 40 hit in 1965. But they're really all great songs!

If you're a fan of pop music instrumentals, WHIPPED CREAM & OTHER DELIGHTS belongs in your collection. Highest recommendation.

Why did those Good Times Go So Fast.......2006-09-23

I often put it on and just enjoy. This is great mid-60's music. It really reflects the times and the period. "A Taste of Honey" and "Love Potion No. 9" are my favorites but the whole CD album is very good. I highly recommend this for all that love these great times.

What a tasty delight.......2005-08-27

2 bonus songs and the girl in whipped cream on the cover to boot.

I have purchased all of the released "Signature Series" of the Brass & it is great to hear them again after all these years.

I never had a record player, but, I did play the trumpet, so I heard them from my own horn (as horrible as that was.)

I recommend all the albums, but this one has 2 extra songs so it is just a little better.

Still Great after 40 Years.......2005-04-17

Songs like "A Taste of Honey," "Green Peppers," "Love Potion #9," and the title track "Whipped Cream" all bring back strong memories from childhood. My father used to play this a lot when I was 8 or 9 years old. Still great stuff.

Great album, outdated mastering..........2005-03-26

Musically, this is the album that broke the TJB wide open for their commercial success, and established A&M as a record label. It seemed like everyone's parents owned this album, which bordered on iconic status in their record collections! The music itself features TJB originals and rearranged cover songs, all based on a food theme.

One important note: this Amazon item is the original mastering from 1988. As such, this version of the CD does not sound all that good. April 2004 will see the reissue of this classic title on the Shout! Factory label, with two previously unreleased songs as bonus tracks. Search for this album in its newly remastered form in the Herb Alpert Signature Series, and you will not be disappointed!

Any pistol fan should buy this great CD. Although the sound quality isn't altogether that great, it's the content of the CD that holds it together. With songs that were not on NeverMind the Bollocks such as I Want To Be Me, Substitute, and No Lip, and live versions of other well known songs, this is a worthwhile purchase.

i bought nevermind the..... when i heard god save the queen on the radio,along with anarky.., and that was so cool, so then i wanted to see how they sounded live so i picked this up and thought i was just as great!they sand god save the queen really well,but my fav track has to be the iggy pop cover of no fun,it's even better then iggy's! and i just love the way johnny rotten shouts ooh!at the begginning of pretty vacant!
