One of the best rleases of the 1980's.......2007-05-01

THIS IS NOT HAIR METAL. This is a band from Detroit, who later reformed, without singer Kenny Mugwump, as Sponge. LOUDHOUSE WAS A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN SPONGE!

IMO, For Crying Out Loud is one of the best and most underrated rock releases of all time. By today's standards, it is still ahead of it's time. It shows an originality, in arrangements and in the structuring of the lead vocals, that is rarely seen. This CD is diverse, heavy, tastefully done, and very addicting.

For Crying Out Loud is one of my all time favorite rock releases. From the hard driving opener "Faith Farm," the techno flavored "Loudhouse," the excellent groove of "Super Soul Killer," to one of the best acoustic songs of all time "King Among The Ruins," this CD is 100% Grade A rock. Every track is amazing.

I was lucky to see the band in Cleveland, supporting this CD. Kenny Mugwump was a one of a kind frontman and Loudhouse was a one of a kind band. Superb. 5+ stars all the way.

Hair metal still rocks.......2005-05-24

I had this cassette tape when I was in high school, when hair bands ruled (wait, don't they still?). I love the remake of Smoke on the Water, and "My Dad is Bigger Than Your Dad" is one of my other favs. I had a hard time finding this tape then, and a hard time finding the cd now, but it's worth it. Give it a listen!

Baby Soother.......2004-04-07

I Love this CD. My baby seemed to fuss all of the time. She wasn't wet, hungry, or colicky. She just wanted to be held, or so it seemed. Vacuuming the house had to be done whether she was fussy or not. The minute I turned the vacuum on she calmed down in her swing. Shut if off, woke right up, instantly. I couldn't continuously run the vacuum, so I shopped on line and found this wonderful CD with WHITE NOISE which babies LOVE to hear. It is very soothing to them.It really does the trick. It also helps with naps. I highly recommend this CD and hope mine doesn't get scratched!!

Current ad-man and ex-Lemonhead Ben Deiley delivers a set of tuneful pop-punk classics. Recently returned from a European tour, Varsity Drag is in form to present us with a collection of witty, tightly-knit and intelligent songs backed by Deily's melodic guitar distortion. The rest of the band (Will, Ian and Greg)are also great and it is good to hear that in our post Hüsker Dü universe someone is still rockin' in the free world.

This is a truly great record.

Too often, "serious" rock is a downer. Rock that, well, "rocks" tends to be toe-tapping, but inconsequential. Not so this album. Check out, for example, "Hello." Has any song ever been more catchy, and more upbeat, without being annoying -- other than "Hey," also on this record? And is that really a reference to the poet Robert Bly in "Miles of Ocean"? (Then again, maybe it's New York band Versus's song "Morning Glory" that inspired the lines "your eyes -- watch their smoke trails in the sky/we shiver as we try to follow/across a thousand miles of ocean" ("we only had one moment/a trail of smoke in the sky"). You know what? It doesn't matter, because they're both great, and Varsity Drag is even better. Why settle for just one moment when you can have the whole album?

In sum: you must buy this album. It's got melodies like the Beatles. It rocks like the Pixies. It's literate like, um, Rush? (Just kidding). Pay them now and thank me later.

Cant live without.......2007-03-14

our baby wore our vacuum out by the time i heard about this cd. this cd works like a charm, the same way our vacuum cleaner did, and my husband is even addicted to it! he always had to run our bathroom fan to sleep (hes a light sleeper, and jumps at every noise, and i snore lol) the only one that bothers us is the restaurant ambience track, its too much talking going on, makes us nervous at night. but otherwise, it really helped us calm our little one! its awesome, another MUST HAVE for every new parent!

I bought this based on a recommendation from a friend when my son was born six years ago. I passed it on after a few years and now that I'm about to have another baby I MUST have it! My son was completely soothed by the vacuum cleaner sound. We looped it on the cd player and he just slept so peacefully!

I am so glad I bought this one when my second son was born. I bought it based on the reviews on Amazon. I have a 4 year old as well and this CD has been a blessing. I turn it on in my little one's room and it keeps all the loud thuds/screams/noise that the big brother makes out of his room so that he can continue to sleep. My little one likes #4 - vaccum cleaner track. Buy it!

Life saver!.......2006-10-25

This cd is fabulous. It soothes my 8 week old son right to sleep. He especially loves the vacuum and the washing machine. Thank goodness I dont have to use the real vacuum or hairdryer any longer!! Next step is taking it in the car (which my son hates) Highly recommended!

Wonderful!.......2006-08-28

This is a great CD! Each track fades up to full volume at the start and fades down to silence at the end. This makes it nice to just play the entire CD or to loop one track since there are no sharp changes from one noise to another. So far the Car and Washing machine tracks seem to be our baby's favorites. When she outgrows the need for this white noise CD, we'll transition her to lullaby or classical music. For now though, this CD helps us keep her on a schedule and well rested by helping keep her relaxed and usually asleep during her nap times. As a bonus, the Waves and Rain on the Roof tracks are soothing for grown-ups needing to drown out noise while they sleep.

I love country music. Like Lorrita Lynn, Jeannie C. Rily. Barbara Mandell, Tammy Wynette And all those old country singer and Johnny Cash. It is great to hear Anita Cocheran. Beautiful voice and a great singer. Great job there Anita.

The striking vocals that have a sax type quality to them will warm the hearts of many listeners. Anita Cochran has the voice, the song writing ability and the ability to play instruments that only a few people ever have been able to combine. She is a talent for the ages who has just not been discovered by the masses yet. I can hardly wait to get her new CD " Anita".

"For Cryin' Out Loud" is Anita at her best. The vocals are great and so is her guitar picking. And it's great to hear "What If I Said" once again. This is one of the best CD singles I've ever heard.
