Big in Japan.......2002-01-28

This album shows you how big Teaze was in Japan, which was HUGE if you didn't guess it. This is full of high energy versions of songs from their earliest albums. As a band this showcases how well these 4 young men fit together as a unit. The vocals, guitar, bass and drums are all precise and the timing shows how much work was put into practicing. Just one of many groups that deserved a better fate.

BACK IN ACTION.......2002-01-27

When I bought my CD burner this was the first album I cleaned up and turned into a CD. Definitely one of the best sleeper recordings of all time! The first thing I heard by these guys was "Baby Why Can't You Stay" and from there I was hooked. I bought Tour Of Japan and heard their great live performance and saw how young these guys were. Hell, they were my age back then! But, back to One Night Stands. If I had to pick a lull in this disc it would be Loose Change, simply because I can't remember it. All the other cuts are keepers. This disc could have practically been a greatest hits volume as far as I'm concerned. My all-time favorite Teaze song is "Touch the Wind". This song is an epic; it ROCKS! Great AOR songs were "Back In Action", "Young & Reckless", "Reach Out" and "Red Hot & Ready". There are 2 songs that should have been major hits and they are "Heartless World" and "Through the Years".

Without the disc in front of me I can't tell you the names of the bands memebers, so, I'll edit that in after I'm home, but this album was produced by Myles Goodwyn of April Wine fame. Trust me he outdid himself here with as good a production job as Roy Thomas Baker or Alan Parsons ever did. This disc is a complete package. Great songs with sometimes a young party message, but there are enough great songs here that go beyond that to see the talent. I only wish Capitol would have done something to help push this band. If you want to know what you missed in life that would have made a year out of your life more enjoyable try One Night Stands. The vocals, guitar work and rhythm are better than good. One of my Top 100 of all-time! Someday, if I ever get rich, I will buy this from anyone who got it because of my review and didn't like it!

Teaze's Heaviest.......2005-04-10

Teaze's first recorded offering is no doubt their hardest hitting and the most "heavy metal" album of their catalog. Sounding like a cross between Kiss, Deep Purple & fellow Canadian rockers Moxy, this album will be an enjoyable, head banging listen for any metal fan. If you're into a more mellow, AOR sound, then the "Body Shots" album would be a better place to start your "Teaze" collection. But me, I'm a metal-head and this album satisfies the heavier metals in my blood just fine. So, if you're like me, Teaze's Self-Titled debut is "thee" Teaze album to add to your cart; actually I'd rate this a must purchase album for any heavy metal collection. Can't understand why these guys never hit the big time.

Originally released back in 1978, this is the band's 2nd album (their first was on a small label).

Somewhat blending the genres of APRIL WINE (which were on the same record label) and TRIUMPH (from that era), TEAZE combines some straight-ahead rock (on tracks like "On The Loose", "Baby Why Can't U" and "Lady Killer") with some softer, almost country-flavored arrangements like on "Sweet Misery" and "Stay Here".

Nothing ground-breaking, but commercially-oriented melodies. The complicity between the 2 guitarists is fresh and tight, and the rhythm section provides some solid background.

I had the pleasure of know this group on a personal level, while they were writing their songs and before they became known as Teaze. Their music is a mixture of heavy metal and ballad's and Brian Danter's vocal's will blow your socks off...

i suggest this album for those who enjoy good compositions and diversity. this canadian band have incorporated popular 'american' styles while remaining unique (yet commercial).

Very good summary of there music but if you could ever find there lp one night stands on cd theres the one you should get your hands on .If anybody out there has that one or nows where to get it please let me now.

Body Shots.......2004-10-12

This album was a fantastic sounding album. Every song was tight, from the start of the album to end is great. Myles Goodwyn, (of April Wine), produced this album, giving it a sound, that was new for Teaze. This to be their last album as they broke up shortly after also their most popular album.

If you only own one Teaze album, this is the one.

I am generally a rock/hard rock/metal person, and this was the only album from Teaze I liked for a long time. Hard Rock fans will not be disappointed with this album.

Although not as good as the previous album, One Night Stands, this disc still manages to have 4 extremely good songs. "That Kind of Girl", "Roses & Chrome", "Boys Night Out" and "Too Bad". As with One Night Stands, the group sounds very good and tight, but the majesty of the songs and production just are not as good. It's hard to follow up an album where every song left you dazed. This was to be Teaze's last effort, but it was still a good disc.

If you have never heard Teaze I would suggest trying One Night Stands or Greatest Hits, unless you enjoy live and then I would suggest Tour of Japan, where they were really tight! Even though I have given this 4 stars please understand I couldn't give One Night Stands 10 stars.
