Buy it. Put it in. Turn it up. Anatomy and Moon Ride will blow your mind out in a car.
Ya Gotta Buy It........2003-08-21
I knocked around the same area Kopperfield called home. Buy it. You'll love it.
Kopperfield - Tales Untold.......2003-06-29
Thses guys are great. Although the Kopperfield is no longer together, in the early 70's they rocked the midwest. Especially in Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana. Great to see that they finally get the regognition they deserve, even if it is 30 years later. No disco ...here. This band worked their "tales" off to come up with some terrific original music. This is a rare find as very few LP's of their Tales Untold album were pressed. I call this a sleeper album. Don't let this one go by - buy it. These guys called home the same area that Tom Bodett - Motel Six - We'll Leave The Light On - came from. An area of inovators of words and music. Tales Untold is inovative. Some of the lyrics are a bit "druggy' but hey, this album came out about the time the "war' in Vietnam was ending., so some drug culture lyrics are to be expected. Looking for a gift for a special friend? Get them this CD. Do you really want to spend money on another "Boy Band" that doesn't write their own music and sounds just like all the other boy bands. Get this CD it's a lost treasure found!!!!! I know what I'm talking about as I heard them play live many times. I played in band in the same area and era. I know these guys, they were the best in our area and era.

Customer Reviews:
A taste of the Mediterranean!.......2004-04-01
It's with great pleasure that I review my first Smooth Jazz artist from Central New York. Paul is a multi-talented musician, with instruments including Guitar, Keyboards and Percussion. This CD features Nuevo Flamenco & Mediterranean and Middle East influence music. His style is reminiscent of New Age artists such as Ottmar Liebert and The Gypsy Kings. It's very lively and entertaining. I personally liked the tracks, "San Juan" and "Blast". Also of note, there are two solo tracks at the end of the CD that were very nice to listen. One called "Hajj Baba Oud" which the instrument played was also called a Lute and "Derbaki", which Paul does an outstanding job on Middle Eastern drums. Overall, the CD gives the listener the chance to experience different kinds of World music fused together with Contemporary Jazz. It's a great concept that I think everyone should consider purchasing.
a true romantic heart.......2001-08-15
An absolute sense of magnatism and profound love for his art is heard fully on this cd. Seeing and hearing Paul perform live as well as on recordings is a romantic trip to all parts of your heart and soul. He is a true artist in every aspect and angle of the word. An incredible career awaits him........
bravo for a debut album.......2000-04-14
this was a wonderful cd to listen to. i especially loved the oud solo and derbaki drum solo.
can't wait for his next cd to come out!
"relaxing, yet uplifting".......2000-03-08
very impressive music! Adds a "twist" to the Arabic sound
This is really great music!.......2000-01-20
I listen to this CD a lot; and I have a hard time deciding which song I like best, because they are ALL really good. The drum solo is awesome; and the Oud solo is exquisite. I would recommend this CD anytime.

Product Description
Songs of North Carolina's Outer Banks-20th Anniversary Millenium Edition.
Customer Reviews:
A Bright Light from a Brilliant Bluesman.......2004-09-28
When Mojo Collins left behind the psychedelic sixties and the Fillmore and returned to North Carolina, he discovered a new-found love and appreciation of his native state, and particularly the beautiful Outer Banks. A consummate songwriter, he poured that passion into the songs on Diamond Shoals, Tales Untold, first released on vinyl in 1979. A re-release in 1990 added five new songs, and this digitally remastered 20th anniversary edition was released in 1999 to celebrate the move of the historic Cape Hatteras lighthouse and Collins' receipt of the prestigious 1999-2000 North Carolina Arts Council Music Fellowship in Songwriting.
A Southern blues legend, Mojo is a musician whose songs embrace many genres. The title song of this CD is a dreamy, ethereal composition which will indeed, as he hopes, "take you away." "Sam and Omie's Shuffle," "Lonesome Raleigh Blues," and "Wanchese Harbor Song" are my personal favorites-each a very different illustration of Mojo's multi-facets.
If you love Carolina and the Outer Banks, get this. If you've never been there, this CD will make you feel as if you know this land and its history intimately.
Listen, enjoy, and then go out and hunt down some of Mojo's other great CDs, like the all-out blues "Workin' Da Mojo," or "Live 2 Hard drive," the lyrical "That Ole Carolina Tradition," or his musical travelogue, "Welcome to the Outer Banks."
