.... I was not disappointed at all. It is a must buy for the price. It has a good mixture of old and new songs. I grew up listening to Conway and will probably wear this CD out. When I get tired of listening to some of the junk on the radio today, this is the CD I turn to and think how much I miss Conway.

If you are interested in real country music, this is the CD for you. This my friends is what country music is supposed to sound like, not that crap that they play on the radio now. Conway's voice can send chill bumps up and down your skin. He puts so much emotion in to each and every song that it sounds like he is singing it just for you. So if you like Real country this is the album to buy.

This here is an example of REAL country. This man can sing. This is a great cd. If you love old country or new country...heck if you love any type of music you will LOVE the great work of Conway Twitty. Buy it. It is a great value for such great music.

This is an excellent CD that introduce the buyer to different periods of Whitesnake...from the Blues Rock of the 70's to the Hard Rock of the 80's and the more relaxed projects of the 90's. A must in your Rock seccion of your CD collection.

What can one say about this great band ? For all us people who are still touched by good rock music like Whitesnake , this has got to be the ultimate collection of a band , along side the "Forty Licks - Best Of Rolling Stones" .

This 2 CD collection is a good 2 and a half hour long tour down Whitesnake's greatest moments in their career. I could write endless comments about each song . All you have to do is let each song bring back good memories of when rock music was written based on emotions and passion !

I was fortunate enough to get to catch Whitesnake on their Silver Tour this last summer and all i can say is the David and the boys still have that magic !

Few male rock voices can still bring tears to my eyes when you hear classics like "Hear I Go Again" or "Is This Love" and so on !

This is just an excellent collection .

Unlike previous Whitesnake compilations, "The Silver Anniversary Collection" draws from all the groups' albums (as well as serving as a vehicle for David Coverdale's solo career, from which it includes a couple of songs).

The balance between latter-day Whitesnake's big-haired late-80s pop metal and the original line-up's much rawer blues-rock sound is not perfect..."The Silver Anniversary Collection" leans too heavily towards the former, while ignoring early-80s classics like "Love Hunter" and "Trouble" from the two similarly-titled albums, "Crying In The Rain" from "Saints & Sinners", and "Don't Break My Heart Again" and "Wine, Women And Song" from "Come An' Get It". And "Fool For Your Loving" and "Here I Go Again" are included in their hair-metal guises rather than the original (and much better) versions.

But there is still a lot of good stuff here, including the early cuts "Love To Keep You Warm", "Walking In The Shadow Of The Blues", "Ready An' Willing", "Blindman", and Bobby 'Blue' Bland's "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City", as well as the new, acoustic track "Love Is Blind", and the rowdy "Guilty Of Love" from the "Slide It In"-album. And the pop-metal stuff wasn't THAT bad, I guess..."The Deeper The Love" (from 1989's "Slip Of The Tongue") is actually pretty good, and not too bothered by synthesizers.

All in all, "The Silver Anniversary Collection" boasts a good blend of blues, rock, metal and ballads...not quite as good as it should have been, but an adequate career overview for the casual fan.

This is a must-have if you are a Whitesnake fan! There is not one weak track on this album. There are tracks from the old, original Whitesnake days (the original version of "Fool For Your Lovin'" is here!), Whitesnake 80's era, Coverdale/Page and solo Coverdale. Each disc is 77 minutes long and all the tracks have been personally selected by David Coverdale. The liner notes contain an in-depth discussion with David, his history, the tracks he decided to include here and why. Each and every track here have been digitally remastered and sound incredible. The stuff from 1978 sounds as good as the stuff from today! The album is well worth the import price and it's a crying shame it has not been released in the States. Get it!

        I bought this album because it has alot of songs I've loved for years on it, and as I listened to it, I found that I liked them all! My favorite is "I Stand Amazed" which is about when Jesus Christ our Lord died on the cross for our sins - it's so beautiful I just love to hear it over and over again. These songs are good for all occassions, no matter how you feel. You'll get lifted up when you're feeling down, or be rejoicing more when you are already happy! I highly recommend this album to everyone!

        THIS COLLECTION IS A VERY GOOD WAY TO ENCOURAGE YOURSELF AND REMEMBER THAT GOD IS STILL ALIVE, THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER. MY FAVORITE SONG IS "IF GOD BE FOR US" BECAUSE IT TALKS ABOUT HOW OUR ENEMIES CANNOT STAND AGAINST GOD AND HIS POWER, AND LIKE THE BIBLE SAYS, NO ONE CAN STAND AGAINST US IF GOD IS FOR US. AND THIS IS SO TRUE. AND MY NEXT FAVORITE IS "HE WILL" BECAUSE IT TALKS ABOUT WHEN WE DON'T KNOW HOW GOD WILL WORK THINGS OUT FOR US, WHEN WE DON'T SEE A WAY, GOD WILL WORK IT OUT AND PROVIDE A WAY FOR US. ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS TRUST GOD. PRAISE THE LORD FOR GOD INSPIRED SONGS LIKE THESE. THERE IS NOT ONE SONG ON THIS CD I DO NOT LIKE. THEY ARE ALL VERY GOOD.

        I bought this CD at a performance of Squire's in my hometown in West Virginia and it is great! It has all of his classics, and is a must buy!! The only flaw is that he has redone some of the older songs and I like the older versions better (e.g.-Master Of The Sea, The Broken Rose, He Came To Me, Sweet Beulah Land). Otherwise, GREAT!!
