The heavy metal act's 2003 album is the long awaited comeback after the critically acclaimed 1998 album, 'Waiting For The Sun'. 'UCIII' features the debut, as lead vocalist of Philip Bardowell, ex singer of Magdalen, an exceptionally talented singer often compared to the likes of Lou Gramm or Mark Free. Longtime members Bruce Gowdy (guitars) & Guy Allison (keyboards) complete the line-up. Frontiers.

Worthy of the name Unruly Child.......2006-07-01

Without Mark/Marcy Free or Kelly Hansen on board, the 2003 album by Unruly Child doesn't appear to have a lot going for it. The truth is; UCIII is a very good melodic hard rock album. The vocals are handled by newcomer Phillip Bardowell, and while he may not be as good as Free or Hansen, he still has a strong voice that is well suited to this kind of music. The songwriting is first-rate, which shouldn't be too much of a surprise considering Free is credited as co-writing most of the songs on the album.

UCIII should please most Unruly Child fans, as well as fans of melodic hard rock in general.

Back and Kickin' Butt!!!.......2003-01-31

I thought the first album was the best undiscovered AOL release ever. I didn't think in the absence of Mark Free that they could ever make a record as good as the first...I was dead wrong. This album is everything I was hoping it would be and more. The songs Bring me Home, Kings of Tragedy, Vertigo and Fallen are worth it alone. I don't know who this Phillip Bardowell guy is but he's the perfect instrument for Gowdy and Allison's well tuned songwriting skills. A+

Too Late, i should have told you, and Stay! are like(like . . . you know . . . 80!) really good!

Babe and Eye of the Storm are pretty good to with Eye of the Storm a pretty innovative rock song like 'i hate to sleep alone' from Stone Fury's first record.

Let the time take care is classic Lenny sound.

The album is definitelly not Lenny's worst!

I left Mtv before twenty four hours of Doors stopped running and never thought I'd return to anything past sixties blues/rock. But, then I wondered if there was anything since then that even compares; Cinderella, Kingdom Come, and Queensryche came to mind most strongly.

I recently got a sound system better than a small sound blaster; something with an amplifyer . . . and bigger wires to the speakers . . . and I found that most of the older stuff doesn't really sound much different(they made the music to sound good on the old sound systems); well, those bands above clearly need to be heard on a modern day quality sound system that can crank out the sounds; Burns like a Star for one rocks to no end when played loud on a quality sound system that can play loud without sacrificing sound quality!(not to where the ears hurt!)

A good album with a few gems!.......2005-11-11

I got this album back in 1984. I think it was after seeing the video for Break Down The Wall, a classic rock song with a great riff and passionate vocals. I soon discovered a few other gems, namely the excellent ballad, Life Is Too Lonely, and catchy rockers Hold It & I Hate To Sleep Alone. There is not really a bad song on the album. Bruce Gowdy was an underrated guitarist/songwriter. The next album, Let Them Talk, was a disappointment and Lenny Wolf moved on to Kingdom Come. Grab this album if you can find it on cassette or cd!

Uneven album.......2000-03-30

This is a promising start from Unruly Child, although it is very uneven in its quality. The good songs are indeed very good, with lots of hooks and catchy melodies that stick from the start. The best songs are Heart Run Free, Rise Up and Forever. Unfortunately there are also songs that aren't up to my high standards, but that doesn't mean that they are no good, simply average. Nonetheless, this is an album well worth listening to.

Mark Free's Masterpiece cd. Hands down this & his other band Signal are his best cd's. There are no fillers on this album. Just awesome AOR/Melodic Metal. Son highlights include: Is It Over, When Love Is Gone & Criminal. This cd is getting harder & harder to find so get it while its available.

This is one hell of a AOR/Melodic rock album!

Opening track "On the rise" defines good quality rock! Mark Frees soaring vocals sets the tone for the record and this is an awesome airguitar song with fat keyboards in it!

"When love is gone" is a ballad that makes you cry everytime you hear it. I could go on like this forever but the bottom line is:
If you like good songs performed in a good way with the greatest singer in AOR known to man, then this is a must buy!

Given the fact that, when this CD was released, The Doors have recorded a great album like The Doors, their first album, that had the real sound that the doors wanted, this album has a particular face of Jim Morrison, who was completely drunkard everytime, and that used to influence him in the poetry he wrote. Even though, the sound of Waiting for the sun is seriously something special, the doors doing what they liked, and a Morrison that didn't care how it all ended like. A particular face of the doors...
