Reality is proud to present WARRIOR's The Wars of Gods and Men In 1985, the American Metal scene was bursting at the seams, the entire look and feel of rock music was morphing into bigger more exaggerated stage productions and bigger and better sounding albums. This was the Power Metal movement that soon climaxed with bands like Ratt and Dokken, but prior to those bands and others making it big, there was Warrior. Warrior ruled SoCal and were packing every club in LA and San Diego, selling out the country club before Poison bought their bus tickets to LA. When Fighting for the Earth (Virgin debut album) hit the radio, the reaction was instantaneous and the buzz was on. The record sold well even though it was the first of its kind and in many waves paved the road for bands after them. Under age members of Ratt would be seen sneaking into Warrior shows gleaning what they could before Round and Round was even written. The band was tied up in contract issues and would not record again until 1992, with the comeback release of Ancient Future which received rave reviews and was hailed by an amazing core fan base, Warrior was firmly re-established. In 2000, Warrior is centered around Joe Floyd, the founding member and guitarist for the band who surrounded himself with the best talent available, drummer Dave DuCey (WWIII) Simon Oliver (Uriah Heep) and vocalist Rob Rock (Impelliteri, Driver). The result The Code Of Life was the best effort yet featuring the traditional Warrior trademarks with just the right amount of modern production elements. The record was released through Nuclear Blast and received rave reviews and solid sales In 2003, working on the anticipated follow up to The Code of Life, Floyd felt that a new vocal approach would be necessary as the new songs are an extension of each previous record but were determining their own direction as the band began working out the new material. Scheduling became an issue due to Rob Rocks solo album release, so the Reality Euro office contacted none other than Marc Storace from Krokus to approach him about joining the band. When Marc heard the songs he felt that he could express another side of his musical abilities and flew to LA to meet the band and the rest is history with The Wars of Gods and Men. Produced by guitarist Joe Floyd and Warren Croyle (Halford, Dickinson, Godhead, Gwar, House of Lords et al) , The Wars of Gods and Men is old school metal with a modern day vibe that should appeal to young and older metal fans alike. The album is loaded with hooky killer songs and deep wicked rythyms. Sure to be a collectors item for the true Metal fan. www.reality-entertainment.com

A Cure For Insomnia.......2005-03-02
It took 13 years for Warrior to release a second album, which beats Boston and Def Leppard's length of time between albums, and since 1998 Warrior has been putting out a new CD about every two years. "Wars of Gods & Men" is the bands 4th release since 1985.
Warrior is not really a band as much as it is "The Joe Floyd Project". Joe Floyd is the founder and lead guitarist who keeps the fire burning. He is the only one holding the candle at this point. Almost every Warrior album features a new band except for Floyd, as well as a new singer.
Yes, it's heavy. Yes, it is "real metal". It is not commercial in the least. I was very interested in hearing what Marc Storace would sound like away from Krokus and he sounds very good, his voice unleashed and allowed to show his range instead of being tied down singing garbage like "Rock The Block" and all the cover tunes that Krokus put in their set.
The problem with this new Warrior release is....where are the songs? Where are the melodies? Where are the hook lines? You can still be a "real metal" band and have hooks and a measure of catchy melody in your music without being labled pop. Give one listen to Manowar and you'll know what writing powerful, bone crunching, catchy tunes is all about.
Nothing on this CD was memorable to me. When it seemed like a hook line was about to happen, it disappeared along with my interest. Joe Floyd can play guitar, but that is it. He maintains no individual style or technique that sets himself apart in any way from any other player. The only saving grace is the length of the songs, thankfully short.
I am on the lookout for new metal music all the time. But a label like Reality Entertainment would be well served to find a happening metal band and record an album of songs that have hooks instead of this kind of stuff by a band with a "name" from the past. All in all I was bored.
Excellent Metal!!.......2004-10-25
Excellent Metal the way it should be played. Great riffs, good
solos and vocals that get you going. The songs get you going
in the morning or if you are cruising. The rhythm guitars
are excellent and catchey and the Bon Scott type vocals on certain songs make it stand out. There previous release with
Rob Rock is great as well. I hope you can come up with some
further great rhythms for your next release just don't repeat
yourself keep it fresh and new!!
TOTAL GARBAGE.......2004-09-19
From a band who brought us the "Fighting for the Earth" masterpiece , this release is utter crap. It is typical modern UN-melodic American garbage that only fools latch onto. Marc Storace sounds ok but the guitar solos are weak and the songs even weaker. This is just not acceptable in 2004 when there are thousands of European bands blowing this down the drain. Please pass the Primal Fear , Sonata Arctica , Stratovarius , Metalium and Nocturnal Rites (REAL METAL BANDS). Forget this huge disappointment.
Warrior - 'The Wars Of Gods And Men' (Reality).......2004-03-20
Remember the band's 'Fighting For The Earth'lp a dozen years ago? This is like the third release they've put out since then.Group founder guitarist Joe Floyd is the only original remaining member of this southern California based metal band.As I was checking this disc out for the very first time,I thought I had recognised the vocals.Low and behold,it turned out to be Krokus frontman Marc Storace.'The Wars Of...' rekindles that '80's to '90's hard edged metal that so many of us still dig.The tracks that tend to stand out are "Do It Now"(with proper airplay, this could be a hit),"Never Live Your Life Again",the strongly melodic "3 Am Eternal","Hypocrite" and "Naked Aggression".Killer guitar work all through effort!Should appeal to fans of Nuclear Assault,Corrosion Of Conformity,Danzig and Carcass.
Very Good Album.......2004-03-12
When I heard Marc Storace of Krokus was was singing on this album it didn't seem like a good choice or fit but he really does an excellent job on this record. His voice does not sound like it does on Krokus' albums. The sound here is heavier, darker, more of a Black Sabbath kind of feel to it. The production is fantastic and the band rocks. Very tight. From the opening title track to the last song, no filler. Just good songs / lyrics, excellent musicianship, excellent vocals and great production. A very solid release !!
