Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Vampire Muzak.......2007-04-01

The music on the series was very effective and enjoyable, but being written in service to the story and visuals makes it a little unsatisfying with the music alone.

4 out of 5 stars Exactly what I expected.......2007-03-26

I wish it had a few more darker songs on the album but what I got is exactly what I expected it to be. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

3 out of 5 stars Music to remember.......2007-03-13

The opening track of the album by Darling Violetta, is absolutely fantastic. Having all the Buffy albums and knowing how thought provoking the music is from that show, I did expect more from the Angel album. But it's still good music and any fan would be happy to say they have it.

4 out of 5 stars Love the show - Love the music.......2007-01-20

It is wonderful music!!! It is as huanting as it was while watching the show!

5 out of 5 stars more please!.......2006-12-05

One of my favorite is season 5 episode 6 "The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco " I wish this compilation include the guitar solo section. I am completely opposite to the one of the reviewer. I love the music part only. I find it inspiring. There's some Hans Zimmer style in it. I really dig it...quiet yet powerful. However, it start to become a little too formulated. Too much of the same thing is definitely not a good thing. Ahhh, classic tragic hero stories. I can't resist.

4 out of 5 stars Another great SSSU set.......2006-12-17

All sets by this band sound pretty much the same, and in their case that's a good thing. Super retro "spy-rock" sounds from the 1965-1972 era characterize this album, like all their others.

There is a slightly different flavor overall about the JO SIFFERT soundtrack, though. SSSU tilts the scales a bit more in favor of the laid-back lounge lizard sound, rather than the "creepiness" that is found in most of their other work. Bossa Jo is one of the finest songs they've ever recorded, while Top Speed sounds like something Danny Elfman would have composed for a 60's 007 flick. 70/71 is one of the coolest tracks that could have come right from one of those years. Great stuff, this -- and either you love it or you don't. No in-between!

If you are a fan of this band, you simply must have this album for the same reasons you probably already own the others. If you are not, this would be a good place to begin experiencing the unique talents of one of music's hidden talents, Stereophonic Space Sound Unlimited.

    4 out of 5 stars Hip, old-school backdrop music.......2006-03-27

I found an LP of this in a local record shop's bargain bin. The jacket art caught my eye and I decided to go for it.

This is a surprisingly cool album, apparently from a motion picture about race car driver Jo Siffert (which I now want to see). The music is completely old-school, a total blast from the past. None of it is particularly high-energy, though from what I can tell, it was intended to be background music - and it's great at that. This would be a PERFECT record to play endlessly in a Le Mans/racing theme bar, or even at a mellow party or just while cruising with the top down during the summer.

The only gripe I have with the album is exactly what it was designed to be. I was hoping for a couple exciting songs that would feel more at hme during a driving scene, but there was nothing really fulfilling in that area.

Despite that, the album is surprisingly addictive and it has indeed become a staple of my record shelf. 4 out of 5 stars.

      Album Description

This is the second Die Hunns studio album, finally rescued from the safe where it was locked up for more than a year! A true punk album recorded months before 'Your Rot Me' (2006 - Volcom), 'Live Fast' is the expected follow up to 'Long Legs Die Hunns' (2004 - Disaster), and it is another "catchy, dirty, ugly-as-hell" product of Duane and Corey's musical collaboration. And yes, she sings a lot on the album! 'Live Fast Die Hunns' includes 7 original songs never recorded before, plus 5 songs such as 'You Want The Truth', 'Back In Black' and 'Ain't It A Shame' which were limited releases, now available together for the first time on this album, where they belong. "A total of 12 killer tracks, on an album that rocks out," says Duane. This missing link in Die Hunns' discography also features great cover art by graphic designer Tom D. Kline. The release is a Disaster world exclusive, and a must-have for fans of 'The Master of Disaster' and his long-legged partner in rock'n'roll crime.

5 out of 5 stars More Essential GG For The Must Have Collectors.......2002-01-14

Wow, Another masterpiece by the god of real underground punk. This CD reminds me of early Glam Metal rock bands from the early 80`s like Motley Crue and Quiet Riot[ Anyone here remember Quiet Riot before they were signed to a major record contract]? Anyway I think I would totally have been into this back then. Of course fans of rockish sounding 70`s and 80`s punk should well like it also. A must have for my collection, Nothing more to say really. Get it now! This was originally released in 1984 by the way. I read GG used to give these away at shows.

4 out of 5 stars GG Allin 1983-1985.......2001-07-20

I used to hang out with GG at the Club Casbah in Manchester N.H. I remember when he came to the club handing these EP's out to people. Live Fast Die Fast is cool, in the early to Mid. 80's is when GG did his best stuff. I saw a show he did with the jabbers/scum fucs around the release of this EP. The show lasted about 15 minutes before GG crashed on some front tables and fights broke out, the bar was trashed, it was intense man! The club turned off the juice and shut GG down, just before he was about to take his pants off. That same year GG and I stood right in front of the Ramones stage as they slammed the Club Casbah into submission. GG was quite a character, he was cool.... If you dig GG you might as well get this EP., Dave C.

          5 out of 5 stars GG IS SICK......BUT GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......1999-02-07

THIS CD IS NOT FOR PUNKS WHO GO TO CHURCH AND WANT TO LIVE A LIFE LIKE THERE PARENTS ( I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT GG WAS NOT A SATANIST OR ANYTHING, JUST A PRODUCT OF SOCITY). THIS CD IS FOR THE PUNKS WHO WANT DEAD. GG WAS SICK BUT HE DID WHAT WE WISH WE ALL HAD THE GUTS TO DO.

1 out of 5 stars G.G. Allin is pretty darn sick........1999-01-21

GG Allin is by far the sickest man on the face of the earth (even though he is deceased). Also it is not just me that feels this way, many of my coleeges also feel this way. When I saw his documentery I was absulutly appauled and never do I want to think about him again. Besides only one of his songs was actually good... NOT!!!!

The whole record is great! You can listen to it over and over and not get bored of it.It's just one of those albums that makes you wanna sing along to it.The lyrics are very original! So far, I haven't heard The Devotchkas sound like anything else but themselves. My personal favorites are "Poogly","Live Fast Die Young" and "Her Love is Innocence".Anyone who buys this will be pleased. It is so worth the money!

          4 out of 5 stars CHANGING.......2004-05-14

This is an excellent streetpunk album. Not as OI ! in style as their ¨Anhilation¨Ep but almost as good. The new singer is excellent but her register is quite different from the former one.Reviews stating this album sounds like Vice Squad suggest me the reviewers listened to the first track and put it off. There is an air to V.S. but they're not imitating. This is extremely racous punk rock but the recording leaves a lot to be wished.Bass guitar is too fat,and the snare drum is faintingly mixed in,taking some punch from the final result, which, overall,is OK enough as to buy the album.Side 2 (yes I have the lp) has more powerful songs than side 1,dont ask me why.HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE !!!!

          5 out of 5 stars Amazing.......2003-09-12

this is a must have....i bought this cd during the summer and it still rocks!! though the transitions between singers can piss some people off, it still had their amazing sound and great lyrics...i deffinatly recommend this...

5 out of 5 stars Devothckas Kick Major Punk Core...!.......2003-05-13

The Devotchkas are without a doubt the best Punk girl band around. Their old EP, Annihilation, was also an awesome CD. They have definatley changed quite a bit from their debut. For Live Fast...Die Young, they had a new singer, JJ, who really gives the CD a feminine sound as opposed to Stephanie's more masculine screaming vocals on Annihilation. I heard they changed their name to the 99's for a short time, but it is now, once again, the Devotchkas, and JJ has left the band, and they have a new singer and her name is Jessica.(They need to stick to a singer, its getting old) As the CD is concerned, I think it was a great change from Annihilation, the bass lines are all very deep and melodic, and the opening track "Pseudo Personality" definatley gives the CD a great start. The drums and guitar licks have improved, and another nice thing is that he CD has meaning, not just some CD about getting high and fascinations about Global anarchy (Not saying that this is bad once in a while:) ! ... 5 STARS!... GO BUY IT!... If you liked the first CD, however, be open the a big change in musical style. BUT DONT WORRY, IT'S STILL PUNK ROCK!...

1 out of 5 stars What are the raw oi! ladies of the world?.......2002-03-30

The sounds are all the same, all copy of Vice Squad sounding
and singing, this second album sounds are very very boring.
this bands of today like Devotchkas or Casualties lost quickly
the creativity of the first album, trying to modify his raw sound.
The only good thing is the great Violators cover
"Live fast, die young",my star is for this.
