Great album w/subpar recording quality.......2005-04-25

Bluesy metal crunchers from the UK, with love-it-or-hate-it vocals from Kenny Stewart, is the 2nd of 3 Dirty Tricks releases in the mid-70's. This Majestic Rock re-issue on compact disc has a few pros & cons:

Pros: Adds the 2 missing tracks not on the U.S. vinyl release, white still including my 2 favorites, "Too Much Wine" & "Wait Til Saturday", from the initial debut album.

Add's some live performances.

Cons: The 2 missing tracks, 2 & 4, have less treble attentuation than the other tracks.

The live tracks are of poor quality, both in performance and audio, but are still an interesting listen, warts and all.

Overall, a must-have for all new & old fans of 70's english rock and blues.

The "lost" debut album.......2005-05-07

This is the 1st of three Dirty Tricks releases, of which was only available on LP, and only released in the U.K. in 1975.
I found out about this unknown album in the mid nineties, and did manage to find the LP.

This is the grittiest of the 3 studio LP's, and is a step above the poor original vinyl release, and includes 2 B-sides, and fairly decent live recordings as a freebie.

If you like Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Budgie, any mid-seventies hard rock, you can't go wrong with this one at all. The eight-page booklet includes a Polydor band bio and a few photos.

Excellent hard rockers.......2004-10-06

Get all 3 of Dirty Tricks cd reissues and hear why they should be talked of in the same breath as Thin Lizzy, Wishbone Ash, Bad Co., etc.......very tight & hard British sound.

Final studio release completes the trifecta.......2005-04-25

The 3rd and final studio release from UK metal rockers Dirty Tricks continues the same formula as the Debut album and Night Man, with good songs and better musicianship.

Re-issue is as good as or better than the vinyl recording, and includes the Kinks "You Really Got Me" live, along with a live version of one of my faves on the album, "Get Out On The Street", albeit with some distortion. However, any live DT is better than none at all!

Thanks also goes to Majestic Rock for making this CD available for old and new fans alike.
