5 out of 5 stars Best of?.......2004-12-10

Why would MADBALL need a "best of" CD?

Doesn't make sense!

That said, HARDCORE STILL LIVES!

4 out of 5 stars Excellent NYHC.......2004-06-15

This doesnt really serve as a best of as the tracks featured are songs taken only from albums released by Roadrunner Records, and therefore there arent any tracks from the classic Hold It Down record ( regarded by many, including myself as their best work ). However it does serve as an excellent entry point into Madball or NYHC in general as you will probably be able to pick this album up relatively cheap and as the tracks are all fully remastered it allows the listener to truly appreciate the energy that went into these songs that helped form the incendiary live shows that Madball were once famed for. Standout tracks include Set It Off, New York City, It's Time, Pride and Nuestra Famillia. For fans of Sick Of It All, Agnostic Front, Blood For Blood, Hatebreed etc.
Features the rare wrecking ball song too.

5 out of 5 stars Yeah.......2004-02-19

K: I know, I know, I KNOW! Many believe oldschool hardcore is a broad, face-first, blatant type of music that is set to improve one's outlook and is all chug-chug riffs. And the truth is: IT F'N IS! If this doesn't get your blood broiling I don't know what will. To tell the truth; people that don't like oldschool generally don't even like hardcore. They obviously don't know what hardcore is to say the least. Hardcore is always gonna be there for you: it's no Tool or Cure but does everything have to be? This isn't mediocre: this is raw, honest and crushes.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Cd.......2003-12-10

An excellent cd. Madball is one of the best hardcore bands out there and many of their best songs are on this cd. It has songs from the cds Set It Off, Demostrating My Style, and Look My Way. Cant get tired of this cd.
