good but not the best cannibal corpse album werth having thow its diffrent from the rest.

4 out of 5 stars The Cover Tunes Are Worth The $$$........2005-10-09

All right, this isn't as killer as the infamous, Hammer Smashed Face EP, but not a wash out either. Out of the Cannibal songs on here, Demon's Night is my favorite. It almost sounds like Cannibal went straight metal on this track, but still sounds incredibly heavy, only the way they can do it. The Possessed (Confessions) and Metallica (No Remorse) covers are what stands out to me on this EP. Possessed? Hell yeah, Cannibal churns out a brutal rendition, but Metallica's No Remorse?? Never doubt this band. The Metallica cover is equally as crushing as the Possessed. If you liked the Hammer Smashed Face EP, then grab this one before it vanishes and the used ones wind up selling for way too much.

5 out of 5 stars Cannibal Corpse EP 2: The Worm Infested EP .......2005-09-08

This is one of my favorite Cannibal Corpse releases in my collection. I bought it some time in the summer of 2003. During the time before the release of Gore Obsessed, I heard about a song called Worm Infested being that album. When Gore Obsessed came out, the song wasn't on it. So I went on to believe that it was all just a myth. That was until I saw this EP advertized as a part of a catalog of albums by other record labals sold by Century Media Records (home of Unleashed, Krisiun, Nevermore, Arch Enemy, ect.). Than I thought about ordering the EP some time later on until I saw it at a Spec's Music Store. That's when I immediately seized the moment and bought it because the number 1 rule of thumb was never leave a music store without anything and everything that is not in your Cannibal Corpse collection. So that's what I did. Anyway, I bought this EP, I took it home, listened to and it delivered like anything and everything Cannibal Corpse.

Now for my review. This not another studio album by the band. This is an EP and it contains some unreleased material, covers and extra tracks from overseas versions of the George Fisher era albums. Lets go through them one by one.

1. Systematic Elimination and Worm Infested - These are 2 songs that were supposedly suppose to be on Gore Obsessed. They have the Gore Obsessed sound and production and they are 2 important gemes for the Cannibal Corpse die-hards.

2. The Undead Will Feast - This is not the version from Eaten Back To Life. This is a new version with George Fisher on vocals and sound and production are in the vain of Vile. I think I like this version better but I'm not sure because the original holds a special place in my death metal heart. Nontheless, it's another good geme for the members of the cannibal colony.

3. Covers - The covers here are of No Remorse by Metallica, Confessions by Possessed and Demon's Night by Accept. These covers are killer and will keep the cannibal die-hards happy. For those who are looking for the original versions, here's how it goes. The original version of No Remores is on Metallica's debute album Kill 'Em All. The original version of Confessions is on The Eyes Of Horror album by Possessed and the original version of Demon's Night is on the Accept album Restless And Wild.

So in closing, this album is an important collection for all of the die-hard Cannibal Corpse fans. Since it has been said that it's a limited edition, I say pick up a copy now. Buy 1, 2 or 3 copies or as many as you like but just don't miss out.

By the way, I know that there are Cannibal Corpse fans out there who have complained about the song called Sacrifice now being on this EP. Don't dispair my bretherin, there's still hope. The song is on one of the CD's included on the Metal Blade 20th Anniversory boxset. That boxset is only available at Tower Records and here at Amazon.com. I warn that the boxset is a limited edition also. So go head and get a copy now. Buy 2 or 3 if you want. Just don't miss out.

3 out of 5 stars Worth buying.......2005-08-16

A worth buying ep including the cannibal corpse cover of metallica's classic no remorse, and they did a great job, i bought the cd for the cover song the rest is ok

1 out of 5 stars Hideous excuse for music or even metal........2005-06-24

I can take small amounts of light rock, but only that. I find this one hundred percent detestable, and whoever listens to it needs to go drill a hole through their head and check to see if there's a brain in there! All I hear from these morons is (...) And virtually nothing else whatsoever. If you like constant growling and a mental hospital reject beating the drums up like a toddler and throwing a fit go buy this s$^# today!

5 out of 5 stars The Wretched And The Worm Infested .......2005-12-23

This is another important addition to my Cannibal Corpse collection. I bought it sometime in late 2004. I once took one of my many trips to the record store to buy some stuff. So I went to an FYE/Spec's location and as I look through the "C" section, I stop by the Cannibal Corpse section and low and behold, I find this release. It's 2 copies of a boxset featuring The Wretched Spawn (uncensored digipack, CD/DVD) and the Worm Infested EP. I already had both releases. So I didn't need to buy second copies but if I would of never gotten the boxset, I would of gone home that day kicking myself in the a--. So in other words, I couldn't resist the temptation. So I picked it up and I'm glad I did.

Now for my review. This is not another Cannibal Corpse album. This is a boxset featuring The Wretched Spawn (uncensored digipack, CD/DVD) and the Worm Infeasted EP. I believe that the reason for this release is because of what I addressed in the story that I told on my review for The Wretched Spawn. Another reason could be that both The Wretched Spawn and Worm Infested releases in the very formats that they come in this boxset are limited editions. If this is really the case, than by all means buy this boxest. Get whatever amount of copies you want but just don't miss out.

By the way, I have already reviewed both The Wretched Spawn (uncensored digipack, CD and DVD) and the Worm Infested EP. So I don't need to review them again. So for anyone who wants to know what I think about them, just go back and read the reviews. As for this boxset, it's another important edition to your collection if you are a true Cannibal Corpse fan. So buy it and experience the wretched and the worm infested. Enjoy the infestation.

4 out of 5 stars CC Reviewers, please don't ever change!!.......2005-05-12

People really despise Cannibal Corpse (and similar bands) and I guess I won't hold it against them. In fact, they come up with some of the funniest comments in any reviews. Take this simple cross-section:
=> "Oooga booga, florga, dead SMASH! Ooga booga, Kill!!!!" (These are actual CC lyrics)
=> "This is stuff that Serial Killers jack off to." (True, its on my to do list for later today)
=> "This idiot isn't even annunciating" (That is the biggest word ever used in a CC review)
=> "The music was a jumblef#ck" (Actually its called jumblef#ck metal)
=> Cannibal Corpse is the SICKEST, most hideous, gruesome, and in simple terms---downright gross. Anybody that recommends this travesty of music has SERIOUS problems on all echelons of their sanity! (There is not a more accurate statement on this review page)
=> "No one in the band can stand the sight of blood and they all secretly love watching oprah and soap opras." (My personal favorite)

Well, we had some fun there, but on to serious business. I personally think that Pat O'Brien & Jack Owens are two of the best metal guitar players around. True, very few people can undertand this, but if you've listened to a lot of metal (death metal, more specifically) then you will agree, even if you don't like the band. "The Wretched Spawn" is the one of the best CDs that they have made, and the production has never sounded better. But, you will either get this right away or you will never, ever like it. Cannibal Corpse is not something that you can grow to like over time -- it is a digital reaction, love it or hate it.

Also, I had never heard the Worm Infested EP, so this combination pack was a nice touch. I actually got this for Christmas, can you believe it?

1 out of 5 stars cotton hell is a fag who knows nothing about exteme metal.......2005-04-10

This is not a review. I already reviewed this album(it sucks and thier early sh*t is better) but I just had to let cotton hell know that bands such as Atreyu and Killswitch are the bands who ripped off exteme metal acts such as slayer and stole the classic gothenburg metal sound of early in flames and at the gates to "pop" it up for 14 year old suberban skater f**ks that try to be metal. Cannibal corpse was around way before faggot mallcore acts like Ateyu. And Cannibal Corpse has twice the skill and and expieriance. To call it noise is just ignorant, for you must know nothing about death metal or any form of extreme metal to make a dum ass review like that. Cannibal Corpse was here to make brutal music and thats what they do.

5 out of 5 stars Keep Killin.......2005-01-31

Cannibal Corpse achieved alot from the Wretched Spawn...for it was their first high tech sounding clean album. With great songs such as the self titled Wretched Spawn...And Festering in the Crypt. Being smart...the band knew that there precious album Worm Infested was one that fans would like...but the album did not get much attention therefor not having to many sales. So why not put them both together....Worm infested is my favorite albums and sounds so different it made me cry....bye it today

5 out of 5 stars BRUTALFULL.......2005-01-08

The Wretched Spawn is an amazing album, i find myself constantly playing "Frantic Disembowelment," "Decency Defied," "The wretched spawn," and i could list all the other songs, Beleive me when i say ur getting your moneys worth. The bonus dvd is most excellent, your getting a behind the scenes look at each of the 5 band members and interviews, the gear they use, you even get to see Pat O'brien recording "Frantic Disembowelment" and i was suprised to see just how fast the song actually was when Pat started playing it. One thing people have been saying about this band is that its just noise, well its more then that, if you take the time to listen to the guitar and the drums and the amazing bassist, you would appreciate this band for what it really is.
Along with the cd and bonus dvd u get "Worm infested" another excellent cd. I would like to add that there are alot of people telling others not to diss CC when they havent even listened to there albums or even listen to death metal, and i agree whole heartedly, if you dont like metal then DONT review albums just to say how much they suck. Thats just stupid and that person is just trying to get more reviews under there belt.
