5 out of 5 stars Mata Leao.....Awesome album that went under the radar........2007-01-23

I remember I bought this with my friend the first day it came out in June 1996 and we were like holy $#%@. The groove people, rapping people, punk people, and the dark tracks people. Why on God's green earth that Mata Leao didn't get the attention. Dang that is fustrating....but hey it their lost and not ours!!! Every track on Mata Leao is a relentless pulse of Biohazard kicking and punching. This album is still awesome and will be awesome in the future, because it is true high octane 'Hazard. Cannot believe that it is no longer made. Warner Bros. records should bring it back...what they got to lose. This would sell well. Get it now!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Black Flag?.......2006-11-27

I was burning "damaged" by Black Flag & wanted to add to the disc.
This is utterly absurd, but this CD works.
Cool....
My punk rock friends hate my hardcore, maybe Biohazard will open those eyes...

4 out of 5 stars Biohazard Crosses over into "Metal".......2006-02-13

AS most of you know, Biohazard was really a NYC hardcore band, and for the time, their sound really didnt fit into a Metal Genere. When "State of the World of the Address" was released it seemed like they were coming over to the world of metal, yet it was still more hardcore then anything. This release "Mata Leao" seemed to cross over into the Metal genere, yet still using the infamous "Hardcore" SOund. A lot of bands that started out playing Hardcore all mostly crossed over to metal such as "Suicidal Tendencies" and "Danzig" and those bands pulled it off nicely and so does Biohazard. This is a really strong album, and it remains one of my favorites to this day. It is really heavy, and its the perfect blend of Metal and Hardcore for anyone who likes extreme music. Even though this isnt thier most well known effort, check this one out!

5 out of 5 stars BIOHAZARD REAL HARDCORE.......2005-08-09

THIS ABLUM WAS STRAIGHT TO THE POINT SHORT SONGS THAT PACK A HELL OF A PUNCH.HAS A TRUE NEW YORK HARDCORE SOUND.I LOVE EVERYTHING BIOHAZARD HAS DONE,BUT THIS ABLUM HAS VERY DEEP ROOTS OF WHO THIS BAND REALLY IS PUNK ATTITUDE WITH HARDCORE BEATDOWNS.DFL

5 out of 5 stars NYC Keepin It Real.......2004-04-01

I'm an old PAHC kid now reaching my late twenties. I lost this album years ago, now struggling with the midlife thing I remembered that this was one of the best albums I have ever listened to. My office mates are listening to Lynard Skynard, but when they get up, Biohazard is the first thing I slip into the cd player. I thought I was old. So 5 big stars for Mata Leao and all the other Bio Albums. F what people say about Urban Discipline, that one ranks up there as well.
