Complete your 'Tide Collection!.......2005-09-30
This is a great EP from Silvertide. It includes my favorite song from the Show & Tell album, "Mary Jayne," as well as another strong song "To See Where I Hide." But the real reason to buy this one is to get the second track "Beware," which wasn't included on the album. This is another great song, but they had to cut something from the album, and this song was it. This is a MUST for any hardcore fan, but the EP is also a nice starting point if you haven't heard Silvertide and want to give the band a chance without paying the full album price. Either way, you won't be disappointed!
Awesome!.......2005-08-07
this is the first CD by this super new band Silvertide. these guys are from Philly, and have been touring for about 2 years now. being that I'm not into "guitar jargon", I'll just say that I love this album. It contains 3 songs, Mary Jane, To See Where I Hide, and Beware. The first two, altho slightly different versions, are on the full length CD, Show and Tell.
Their style of music is reminiscent of Black Crowes......loose, bluesy rock and roll. Nick Perri plays lead guitar, Mark Melchiorre Jr, on rhythm, Walt Lafty, vocals, Brian Weaver - bass, and Kevin Frank on drums. If you can see them live, you will love them. This is a must for all Silvertide lovers and a must for those who want to hear pure rock and roll.
rock and roll is alive.......2005-05-05
I saw these guys open from alterbridge and I was blown away. Silvertide is the second coming of rock and roll. Inspired by AC/DC and bands alike, these guys rock. Hinkle I challenge you to explain what rock and roll is all about, and since you don't know the answer, look to silvertide. Silvertide is Guns N Roses, Van Halen. They are Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin. They are the Black Crowes and AC/DC. They are the up and coming gods of rock and roll. Its ok if you dont believe it, you'll just get left behind. Rock on Silvertide. Buy this CD it will give you a taste of something we all thought was lost forever
It's about time........2005-02-26
Well, just when I thought rock and roll was dead, Silvertide was born. I don't mean the band, I mean the guys IN the band. Rock and roll has sucked for over twenty years, and hip hop is such ridiculous, silly garbage I don't even want to think about it. I gotta thank these young rockers for helping to save music. I saw them live when they opened for The Donnas, and Silvertide humiliated those broads. I mean, The Donnas actually dedicated a song to Silvertide! The Donnas were curt and nasty onstage -- as if that makes them real "punkers" or something -- and they made some insulting comments about how put out they were because the show I saw was outdoors and free admission. Meanwhile, Silvertide went beserk onstage. These guys just ripped the sh*t out of the place. There were actually a couple of dipsh*t teenagers in front of me with the hip hop baggy flood pants, retard hat, pubic hair goatee, and the whole uniform on, and they were holding their ears and complaining about how loud Silvertide was. My wife and I couldn't stop laughing. Oh well, most kids are morons. The saying used to go, "Don't trust anyone over 30." Now, it's "Don't trust anyone under 40."
If you like hard rock, and you have a little bit of attitude left, buy this CD, and buy "Show And tell", also. Silvertide is phenomenal. Looking forward to their next CD already! And, by the way, the guy from Germany is right: M. Hinkle is a douche. Silvertide is, in M. Hinkle's mutilated words, "unworthley" (Jesus...How sad) of Van Halen. Why, then, did Sammy Hagar lend Silvertide a huge tour bus to use on their last tour of The United States. I saw it with my own eyes. This guy is a dip, and he's obviously very young and stupid. Who else but a snot-nosed kid would sign his review with "Peace".
Huge Promise!.......2005-01-29
It's increasingly rare to hear a new band and actually get excited about their future output. But this 3-song set from Silvertide goes by way too fast. Comparisons to Black Crowes and Led Zeppelin are not overstating their promise. Throw away all the new-fangled "rock 'n' roll revival" bands and just hang on to this gem. I'm sure it's only the tip of the iceberg. Let's just hope rock 'n' roll excess won't ruin them...

Listen to the lyrics!.......2003-12-08
When i first bought this album, a few years ago I was angree at myself that i did not listen to this album in the store first because i would not have bought it then.
But after listening to it for a few times I realy got in to this cd. Singing along with 'Raw Meat' or 'somebody special'
I resonated with 'pipeline' and the emotions and questions Fish has add in this song. The lyrics are fantastic! It takes some effort to listen to it the first time but after this you will understand why this album was made in this way.
Bit different but still very very good!
As all albums fish has made!
Not Just Financial, But Artistic Bankruptcy.......1999-01-20
It is provable that an artist cannot hit the peak of his abilities and go on indefinitely. Just buy a copy of Marillion's densely-textured "Clutching at Straws" with lead singer Fish - then contrast with this tedious, sell-out solo album "Suits". Every rock star eventually takes a fall, but no one has fallen harder artistically than Fish.
He likes to complain about a "bandwagon" mentality that is keeping him from earning his rightful place in the pantheon of Pop stars like Phil Collins and Sting. However, Fish needs to turn some of that venom away from the record companies and onto himself. These excrutiatingly bad 10 tracks are some of the worst... ever recorded. It has never been more apparent that Fish wants to become a big pop star, cranking out middle-of-the-road, lite adult contemporary tunes. Problem is, he can't write his own music so his destiny is in the hands of some inempt, inexperienced studio musicians who probably just cut their teeth on their first Fender.
I could bemoan all night about the artist formerly unknown as Fish, but I'll wrap this up by simply saying....
