Product Description
Schenker/Pattison Summit is a melding of musical super powers. For the ultimate rhythm section, they enlisted help from one of rock's most well known drummers, Aynsley Dunbar (UFO, Journey, Starship, Whitesnake) as well as world renowned bassist Tim Bogert (Jeff Beck, Cactus). Aptly titled "The Endless Jam Continues," this CD picks up where the first CD left off and surpasses it, containing extended versions of rock classics such as "Layla" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" which feature some of the greatest guitar solos of Schenker's stellar career. Seldom does an album come together with some of the greatest talents in rock history that surpasses the great expectations such a union conjures in the minds of their loyal fans. "The Endless Jam Continues" is such a record.

3 out of 5 stars Schenker rips...........2007-03-02

...but this is pretty boring over all. He didn't have his heart in it I guess.

5 out of 5 stars So Good You'll Have to Change Your Religious Beliefs.......2007-01-27

The best electric guitar solo work in my collection. Schenker demonstrates absolute mastery of the instrument, especially on tracks 2 and 4. Definitely buy this album.

4 out of 5 stars nice covers.......2006-03-08

enjoy this for what it is...great musicians doing someone elses tunes....it does suck that they never hooked up..

5 out of 5 stars SWEET, ROCKIN COVERS- Schenker/Pattison Summit DELIVERS!.......2005-12-21

Schenker/Pattison Summit flat out rocks and you must get this cd!
I think this cd free's up Mr. Schenker to do what he does best ->SOLOS. Pattison's vocals remind of Paul Rogers and that's ok by me!
Is this the world's best covers? NO, Is it fun to crank at high volumes driving fast- YES!
The sum of it's parts are really greater than just some dudes doing covers. This cd grows on you!

BTW- For a totally different listen try Mr. Schenker's- "Thank You" series, wonderful instrumental accostic.

2 out of 5 stars Great line-up..........2005-10-27

but why is Schenker doing covers every other album. These guys really didn't jam together either. Davey Pattison has a great voice (check out some Gamma & later Trower records) & you can't go wrong with Dunsbar on the skins, but why not put out some original material? I'm sure Bogert and Pattison must have had a few dozen songs, half-songs, partial songs lying around somewhere that they could have brought to life. Putting out 1 cover record was one thing, but doing a 2nd was just laziness on Schenker's (and the others) part.

5 out of 5 stars Schenker's Complete Mastery of the Electric Guitar.......2007-06-26

I haven't got time just now to properly review this album. Let me just say, though, that recently me and a few friends were driving through the Welsh countryside and we were playing this album at the time. I remember being completely blown away by Michael Schenker's guitar-soloing on While My Guitar Gently Weeps and exclaiming - 'that was the best guitar-soloing I have ever heard'. I am not unfamiliar with the great technicians - such as Jeff Kollman, Steve Vai, Steve Lukather, and others. Schenker, though, reaches down into the soul with the harrowing beauty of his playing. To paraphrase Wittgenstein, 'technique only shows when genius fades'. Well, in Endless Jam and Endless Jam continues, Schenker's genius reasserts itself - as I suspect it always will, to the end of his days!
