With a career that's seen her soar from struggling journeywoman to superstar via a fateful invitation to join Fleetwoood Mac, the singer who now bills herself as the most successful female artist in rock history looks back on the various facets of her iconography with this 16-track career retrospective and its accompanying DVD. The mystic-folkie ethos that has long been her caricature are well showcased via the cult fave Rumours outtake/B-side "Silver Spring," the muscular Sheryl Crow collaboration "Sorcerer," and a live version of the moody "Rhiannon" that casts it in even longer shadows. Yet Stevie Nicks has always displayed a willingness to push herself beyond her hippie muse, as witnessed by the dense aura of Deep Dish's remix of Mac's "Dreams" and such disparate, pop-savvy solo highlights as "I Can't Wait," "Stand Back," and shrewd, successful duets with Tom Petty ("Stop Draggin' My Heart Around") and Don Henley ("Leather and Lace"). Indeed, bookended by the original version of the hit "Edge of Seventeen" and a live revamping with the Melbourne Symphony that amps its every melodramatic nuance, reinvention often seems the anthology's subtext. The included DVD compiles 13 of Nicks's evocative videos with new commentary by her, as well as an insightful, previously unreleased home video shot during the Bella Donna sessions. --Jerry McCulley

My Stevie DVD!.......2007-07-30
I was very impressed with the quality of the cd/dvd packaging and the item itself. The price was great and now I can listen to her in my car and still see her great videos of the same songs on my tv. I'm very happy overall...Thanks!
Still the Best!.......2007-07-17
As with anything Stevie Nicks - I eagerly awaited the arrival of "Crystal Visions", and it doesnt disappoint.
Although some of the songs have been covered before in the Enchanted Enchanted: The Works of Stevie Nickscollection, the extra features included in this set are well worth the purchas - Including audio from her Melbourne concert in January 2006.
As for the DVD - there is clips and concert footage that I hadnt seen before that I am now very happy to have in my collection.
Great Value for Money.......2007-07-12
It is worth the money for the DVD alone! I have all her cd's and all her videos including the ones in concert with and without Fleetwood Mac so I was really skeptical about getting something new with this cd/dvd compilation. It wasn't until I checked out the reviews from Amazon that i realized she added her own personal commentary on her videos. it is SOOOOO worth it for that alone! She cracked me up! Totally unepected. I was pleasantly surprised at how she absolutely does NOT take herself too seriously. so even if you have all her previous cd's, and dvd's. please consider getting this. there is definitely NEW material here. The makings of Belladonna were revealing too. really really good stuff here.

Crystal Visions - A murky attempt.......2007-07-30
I purchased this CD thinking this would be great collection of my favorite songs, but upon listening to the CD was greatly disappointed. I LOVE Stevie Nicks work, but this attempt to re-vamp her old stuff and make it new is just woefully awful. Now I know why I was able to get it used for only $4.00. Don't waste your money.
Really the Best.......2007-07-12
Excellent CD! I couldn't wait to get it and listen to it all the time.
Simply Stevie.......2007-07-12
It's the best of the best of Stevie Nicks and this CD is simply WONDERFUL just as she is!
New CD, please!!.......2007-05-31
I love Stevie Nicks, but it would be great to see her putting out a new CD. Doesn't she already have at least two greatest hits packages (Timespace and the Box Set)? Anyway, I don't know if she is planning to retire or has hit a song-writing block, but I really get tired when these artists continue to re-release compilations over and over again. I guess there is money to be made; otherwise, record companies would not do it. Still, to me, the point of "art" is art; not rehashing and repackaging old stuff over and over again for the almight dollar.
95%.......2007-05-30
I agree alot with R. Kyle's review of this CD, and ordered it even though it does not have all of her number 1 songs. BUT it does have 90% of them and on a CD, that's a gold mine.
Amazon lately has been out doing itself in getting my orders to me in less than 2 weeks. Way to go Amazon.

Even though it is not as consistently convincing as Mahavishnu's first two albums, this fifth, 1975 outing nonetheless provides plenty of the same listening rewards--urgent, inexorably forceful jazz-rock fusion with an intense interactivity among the players. Jean-Luc Ponty provides the fresh interest. Always most convincing when employed, rather than in charge, here he revels in the open spaces and blissed prompting that McLaughlin's celestial-run formula provides. The album was one of a few later Mahavishnu recordings that announced that the revolutionary band's mission was near completion, and perhaps already played out. McLaughlin's playing soars at some points, but it was time for him to leave the capsule, and settle into a new phase: his extraordinary Shakti collaborations. --Peter Monaghan
Customer Reviews:
Hated it at first, but I've became a fan since.......2007-07-27
Okay, I'll admit it, I was wrong about this at first - I just hated it. Perhaps I was just taken aback by it because of how ethereal it sounds compared to previous efforts - I wanted a hard jazz-rock album like the first one. Or maybe I just thought the title was pretentious drivel, one or the other. Well, I still don't like the title, but I find myself enjoying the music now. Jean-Luc Pointy's violin especially. I must say, very interesting touch: it lends a lot to "Pastoral" (which is just that) and "Lila's Dance"; meanwhile, the vocalizing on "Eternity's Breath" (divided into two parts for some reason) is chilling and well worth hearing as well. Meanwhile, the funk is some kickin' stuff: take "Can't Stand Your Funk", "Cosmic Strut" and the nonstop "Be Happy". Great to hear John having some fun. If you ignore the emphasis on guitar, it's a lot like Herbie Hancock's contemporary work. A couple annoying short tracks come close to ruining the record ("Faith"; "If I Could See"; "Pegasus"; "Opus 1"), plus sometimes the ethereal nature is simply boring ("Earth Ship"), and the closing "On the Way Home to Earth" is abrasive in a bad way. Very respectable album nonetheless.
Visions of the emerald beyond.......2007-03-30
All the great groups seem to hit that stride of 3 or more great albums. This is one of their best 3 along with the inner mounting flame and birds of fire. They really made their best music on these records.
Marvelous creation from McLaughlin........2007-02-21
The title of this review summarizes my feelings.
Fantastic playing, recording, mixing & production.
As an historic MO fan, I had already bought this gem in LP format in the seventies, but this CD edition is incomparably better.
The 1990 issue adds clarity, quality and emotion.
Although some people may attribute "commercial" aspects for the MO-2,
I believe "Visions" is still MO best album ever.
Ponty added dynamic, rhythm and speed to the music, a master amidst the masters...
I agree that both lineups have this pros & cons, and this is not under trial.
Worth each cent you pay and more....
John M has really gotten into the jazz and funk with this!.......2007-01-10
What an etherial display of John Mclaughlin's and Jean Luc Ponty's collaboration attempt. This Attempt works well.
PLeased to own it.
Probably their best.......2005-12-30
This is a classic and probably their best recording.
I would skip track four as it spoils the work here,
but otherwise a classic rock/jazz/fusion at the height of this band career.

perfect score for a perfect movie.......2007-02-19
Carol Reed's veteran cinematographer Robert Krasker's quirky angles under Reed's direction perfectly framed the ready-made-for-an-art designer bombed out shadows and stark, isolated street lights of post-war Vienna and its underworld. Unique to cinema history the whole score (but for some canned incidental cafe music) was just the brilliant zither playing of Anton Karas, adding his nuances to every dramatic transition. Krasker won an Oscar, and Karas was nominated.
The "Third Man Theme" (also known as the "Harry Lime Theme") is alternately brittle, jaunty, bittersweet, romantic, wry, and even sardonic piece of music--which fits the mood of the story and the film perfectly -- that, once heard, can't be forgotten.
The "Third Man Theme" turned Anton Karas into a wealthy man after 28 years of toiling in obscurity an relative poverty in Vienna.
One night, Carol Reed was passing by a wine tavern where growers offer their own wines for sale directly, and heard Anton Karas's playing in the background. Reed had never heard a zither before and found the sound to be attractive. He approached Karas and persuaded him to play for him at his hotel, and made a recording, which Reed brought back to the studio to test. He liked the effect when the zither's sound was placed against the recorded dialogue and, ignoring the protests of many around him, hired Karas and brought him to London for 12 weeks.
Anton Karas screened the movie hundreds of times, devising music for each scene. The Third Man ended up with a vast amount of music, scored in virtually every scene of its 104 minutes. Ironically, the piece that became known as the "Third Man Theme" was something that Anton Karas had written two decades earlier and hadn't played in over 15 years. As he later explained to Reed, playing the zither for a whole night for tips was hard work, and one tended to play the easiest pieces the most often, to save the fingers.
Other zither players never got it to sound just right. The truth was that as recorded for the movie, "The Third Man Theme" was one of the first practical examples of overdubbing on a hit record, rivaling Les Paul's work--Anton Karas had gotten just the right effect working underneath Reed's kitchen table, and had gotten the piece just right by recording and mixing more than one zither part.
The Third Man was finished and prepared for release, and Reed and the production company, London Films, tried to raise interest in it through the music. None of the record companies, however, was interested in recording Karas or releasing the "Third Man Theme." The music was too strange and different, and although British movies had produced some soundtrack successes in the past, those were usually more conventional light classical pieces, not a jangly piece of music played on a central European folk instrument.
Pleasant "ethnic" melodies.......2007-01-22
The tunes on this disc have a nice, comforting sound. Some of the selections are haunting, some have a peasant-liveliness. Nothing great or revolutionary, but plain good zither music, very enjoyable.
Third Man & Other Original Records.......2006-11-10
We bought it for a friend. They loved it.
The first man of the zither.......2006-03-10
The CD didn't sound as good as the movie sound track. Ity sounded a bit rushed as if the sampling during the transfer was not sufficient
This is the one you're looking for........2004-04-26
You've been looking for the original version of the music in "The Third Man", right? Every other CD on the market wouldn't work for you. But lucky for you, this is the one! Don't go wrong.

Album Description
With their third offering, Trinity, the Austro-American sextet takes Symphonic Metal to a new level as majestically powerful Metal songs complete with heavy guitars and unrelenting drumming meet emotional ballads and romantic soundscapes. The distinctive epic string arrangements compliment the multi-faceted compositions, superbly crowned by fantastic soprano vocals and the equally strong singing talents of the male counterpart. By masterfully merging their classic roots with powerful modern elements, Visions Of Atlantis deliver an album that is not only mystic and heavy but also insightful and bombastic.
Customer Reviews:
I'd say this is their best........2007-07-18
Unlike VOA's two previous releases, I'd say this one is actually pretty good. They have a new female vocalist who, while faulting only a bit on her lower notes, really outshines the old vocalist when she goes for those higher notes. The songs are also a lot better. They still maintain the band's creative symphonic metal sound, but also have some catchier choruses, some nice guitar solos and some excellent drumming. Some really touching duets between the male and female vocalist are featured also.
The CD's only downfall would have to be its lyrics. The words can get a bit corny at times. Lines like "I'm so sorry 'cause you're dead" don't do it for me, personally. It'd also be nice if the vocalists put a bit more emotion into their voices and concentrate on what they're singing about instead of getting a perfect, crystal clear sound.
I'd recommend it, nonetheless, for symphonic metal fans.

Ahead of her time and somehow beyond time, Northern California singer-songwriter Kate Wolf now has a collection to represent all her craft, wisdom, and radiance. Produced and compiled by Wolf's son Max, the 35 songs on Weaver of Visions include every track from the previous anthology, Gold in California (less only "Full Time Woman" and the antinuke ballad "The Sun Is Burning"), and adds 10 live performances and two previously unavailable songs. The selection is impeccable, focusing on what Wolf's guitarist Nina Gerber has called "Kateness": an intimacy born of hard times, a communion forged in love's fire, a delicate soulfulness that few of her acoustic-oriented peers--Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams come to mind--have captured. Even if you own every Wolf album, Weaver of Visions will be a revelation--from the sparkling remastering to the elegant photographs to the intelligent, 42-page liner notes to the songs and voice that will tear out your heart, then mend and renew it once again. --Roy Kasten
Customer Reviews:
Great Literature, Delivered Very Elegantly.......2007-04-08
I am 64 and have been listening to various types of music for 50 years but only recently discovered Kate Wolf. She immediately became my favorite singer/songwriter. It seems that her music is the music I have always been looking for but had never found. I agree with another reviewer who noted that one can listen to Kate almost continually without tiring of her. I was very saddened to learn of her untimely passing just when she was reaching her pinnacle.
I have now acquired almost all of Kate's recordings and this album contains most of her best songs but a few are missing like "Love Still Remains" and "Great Love of my Life".
All Kate Wolf fans should watch the "Evening in Austin" video to see the refined professional she had become just a few months before she came down with leukemia.
Great cut........2007-03-09
As someone who attended Kate's funeral years ago, I remember walking into the service in Marin with "Give yourself to love" playing over the PA system. This is a great album that defined a generation of activists, new age values, and a group of interesting people.
A new fan of Kate Wolf.......2007-02-23
I'd heard Kate's name from time to time, over the years, but never really got to know her music - until now, with this compilation.
As one of the other reviewers said, I'm also curious why she isn't better known.
Yes, there is a bit of similarity among the songs, but by becoming familiar with them one can hear and feel all the differences. Spread the word, and spread her music!
The Enduring Mystery of Kate Wolf.......2006-07-04
I first discovered Kate Wolf's music twenty years ago while traveling the Mendocino Coast. It's not really about Northern California, but like a fine wine it has a certain regional stamp to it which adds to its quality. In time I bought all of her CD's and her music, which gradually intertwined and merged with my life until it seemed as if the songs were a personal gift from her to me, which I eventually learned was an illusion held in common by just about all of her fans. And in all those years, whenever I brought up the subject of Kate Wolf with my friends in Southern California, I invariably got a blank stare in return, followed by the question, "Who's Kate Wolf?"
The mystery of Kate Wolf is why her enormous popularity is still mainly confined to Northern California, why such a great artist has only produced twelve reviews on this page, and why this quintessential Kate Wolf album isn't even among Amazon's top ten thousand selling CD's.
I don't know how many (if any)other musicians have an annual music festival dedicated to their memory, but Kate Wolf does and last week up near the Redwoods, the 11th annual such festival took place. The music was bluegrass, folk, and singer/songwriters with only an occasional Kate Wolf number thrown in, but her spirit was invoked from the stage more than once, and the festival closed out with the singing of one of Kate's signature songs, "Give Yourself to Love." The audience stood and sang along just as if it were a national anthem (and maybe it should be.)
So if this is your genre, if Kate's advice to "Give Yourself to Love" makes sense to you, or if her gentle warning that "We've Only Got These Times We're Living In" rings true, give her a listen, and you too can become part of California's best kept secret.
Here in California..........2004-05-04
Nobody has ever captured the spirit of the rural West in music better than Kate Wolf. This generous set will satisfy almost anybody but those who have to have it all; for those who are just new to this astist, this is the best place to start - all killer, no filler. Some tracks are immediately addictive, while others reveal their pleasures more gradually.
Kate's songs are a celebration of passion, humanity, nature, healing, friendship, love, and much more. Her partners supported her with expert skills and arrangments that explored all the roots of American music, yet her style, concept, and delivery were completely her own. If Weaver of Visions is your first introduction to Kate, it may be a revelation.

Album Description
Libera is the extraordinary vocal group made up of no less than 24 boys aged 7-16 who meet for several hours every week at a church in South London to rehearse and perform. Visions, amply demonstrates their musical prowess; with shimmering, mystical chords and exquisite harmonies, Libera prove they really are unique. Of the13 tracks on the album, some will sound familiar such as 'Locus Iste', which is based on Johann Pachelbel's (1653-1706) famous piece, 'Canon', a piece of baroque music that has been interpreted by many over the years, even finding its way into modern pop music. There's an entirely original arrangement of 'Ave Maria' and an uplifting version of the traditional hymn, 'Abide With Me' (words: Henry Lyte, 1847. Music: William Monk, 1861). The remaining tracks are entirely original with titles like 'New Day', 'Sing Forever' and 'Something Sings'. Several new soloists are featured: Michael Horncastle, Connor O'Connell, Tom Cully, Joseph Sanders-Wilde, Callum Payne, and James Verecken. Libera's previous album Free spent several weeks in the top 3 position in the UK Classical Charts. The album was also nominated for 2005's Classical Brits Awards "Album of the Year". EMI. 2005.

Libera "Visions" is Fabulous!.......2007-05-12
This music is unbelievable! You can listen to it over and over and still want more. In extreme stress situations (like commuting) it has a great calming affect. I wish this group toured the U.S. sometime!
So, so..........2007-04-12
It's nice, but not so magnificient as their last album... This is for Libera fans (like me) that won't miss a thing about them, even if some songs are re-arranged, repeated or remixed or whatever that means the same. The boys are awesome, as always, but this lacks something... Don't know quite good what it is (I've been playing the dics lately to get a hold on it, and couldn't by some reason)... Anyway, a good buy for rookies ;-)
Libera - Magnificent - Must buy.......2007-01-16
This is Libera's 4th album and I believe that it is one of the best, included on the disk is a video, and some of the best "terbie" music i have ever heard!
The boys who make up the vocal band Libera have been described as "normal" and "ordinary". However, as their recordings and performances demonstrate, the music they produce is truly extraordinary. With shimmering, mystical chords and ecstatic harmonies, they are unlike any other group you have ever heard. At times plaintive, at others climactic and transcendent. These are truly sounds to lift the soul. Celestial sounds for a new time.
Just amazing.......2006-08-03
Exquisite is the only way to describe these young boys voices. The selections and arrangements from beginning to end are unique, so beautifully done and have an other-worldly quality to them. Put aside everything while you listen, you'll think you're not far from heaven. We Are the Lost will bring tears to your eyes and Abide With Me is by far the most moving version I have ever heard. The words to all are included in the booklet. Buy this one, you'll keep it forever.
Libera Visions is absolutely angelic........2006-03-27
I love this CD! I can listen to it over and over. I first heard it on a flight to China, and couldn't wait to get on the return flight home a couple of weeks later so I could hear it again. In fact, while I was in China, I got on line and ordered it, and it was waiting for me when I got home. Outstanding vocals and great music combine to create a mood that's difficult to describe, you just have to hear it to believe it. Truly amazing.

I am pleased to share with everyone my thoughts on this album by the Brule Native American Sioux Nation. I just got this CD for Christmas and it makes my heart feel really good. It is such an Acomplishment for Roche and I wanna say congratulations. As I take a musical journey throught my culture I am reminded of where I came from and what tradition we hold dear to us. So many people will be touched by this ablum and have been I am sure. And to let people know the true meaning of this vast and wonderful culture is also very pleasing to me. Anybody who is anybody should get this Ablum and enjoy the richness of the music. Thank you. T.J
Captivating and enchanting.......2005-07-04
While on vacation in the Southwest, primarily to visit the Grand Canyon, I heard music from this album over a loudspeaker at a restaurant where we stopped for dinner. When the last song played--it was "Star People"--I had to know what this music was. So I asked the restaurant owner, he told me, and I bought the CD right then and there. Both my husband and I listen to it quite frequently. For some odd reason, it brings about peace, contentment, excitement, and joy. It is both upbeat and serene. We like all kinds of music, but this album is turning out to be our favorite.

YEAH IT'S A LITTLE MORE MAINSTREAM BUT STILL VERY GOOD.......2007-08-01
I would have to recommend this as much as Kansas' first album and almost as much as Masque. In fact ,I consider all Kansas from the first album to Audio-Visions to be essential Kansas. " Hold On" and "Got To Rock On" are great ! I find the others a very good listen as well.Try it,you'll like it,especially if you have the previous albums and want more.
last album with Steve Walsh.......2007-07-08
Kansas have always been able to gain my respect with every one of their releases. This is probably one the last great albums they've done.
The songs here are well written and every song here is a standout track. There are a few weak ones (Got to Rock on and Anything For You) but even those are still decent.
The songs are sequenced very well which helps. The end of Hold on where Steve sings the final 'hold oonnnnn' is great and there's a bit of an echo there before the next song starts with him yelling 'LONER!' It's a great moment.Even Loner has a great quick ending that brings in the two notes that start Curtain of Iron. So this is a nice FLOWING album and probably one of their best in that respect.
So this album is really only 4 stars. You can hear some of the tension between the band members here but this is some really good stuff. They could have broken up after this, but chose instead to reform with a new singer. Thankfully that only lasted a few years.
So buy this album. This is the last great album Steve sang on before they parted ways. Of course Steve came back later, but that's another review. Happy listening!
Kansas - The Album That Broke Up The Original Lineup Of The Band.......2007-06-21
"Audio Visions" would prove to be the album that broke up the original lineup of Kansas. The album is pretty much split between Kerry Livgren's blatantly Christian oriented songs and Steve Walsh's rebellious rockers. Walsh has made it clear in interviews over the years that he was no longer comfortable singing many of Kerry's lyrics and he would leave the band because of it after the tour for this album. Although this album is not as good as the first 5 I like it quite a bit better than its predecessor "Monolith". The band got back on the singles charts with Kerry Livgren's Christian ballad "Hold On". He also contributes the great rocker "Relentless" and the two most prog oriented pieces on the disc "Curtain Of Iron" and "No One Together". Walsh's songs display very much where he was coming from at the time. The lyrics for rockers like "Loner" and "Got To Rock On" pretty much predict his eventual departure from the band. Both are great tunes by the way. Robby Steinhardt's violin is used much less here than on previous discs, an unfortunate trend that would continue on their next album and lead to his eventual departure. Overall this is a very good (but not great) Kansas album and defiantly worth owning.
Kansas Rocks!!.......2007-01-04
uumm , great to be reminded why I loved this music way back when :)
A more listenable Kansas.......2006-12-01
I don't really know what was going on internally within the Kansas camp leading up to the recording and release of this album, but the results were incredible. The sound on this album is true Kansas, however, less progressive sounding with limited violins. I believe they produced it themselves and the fuller sound of that production is obvious. The drum sound on this album is the best I've heard - so unlike the tinny trash can-like snare sound of today's bands. I'm sure Phil Ehart had something to do with the fuller drum sound. This is not Point of Know Return or Leftoverture and that is a good thing. Diversity in a band's catalog is good if it does not compromise the integrity of the band and Audio Visions is awesome without being a clone of previous Kansas albums. Even with some corny lyrics here and there, I rate this as my overall favorite Kansas album.

Behold Greatness.......2007-06-14
What was the last new rock album that truly gave you `the shivers?' And I'm not talking delirium tremens here. Mr. Jay Reatard of Memphis has crafted just such a work in his `Blood Visions' LP (In The Red). The `boy-wonder' musician and producer already scorched a path through the garage and synth-punk jungle with groups like The Reatards, Lost Sounds, and (believe me) many more, all the while honing his unique attack. His new work is a relentlessly efficient barrage of blazingly original melodic punk-pop that bursts through the tedious garage rock ghetto to claim fresh- uh, blood. Jay has found the perfect vehicle for his righteously misanthropic lyrics, a compellingly ominous musical landscape of modern life run off the rails. Musical strands of predecessors like Devo, Wire and The Adverts are crammed onto a careening personal pop skeleton. Here is a man wary of `Greed, Money, Useless Children,' `My Family,' and even `My Shadow.' While this may not sound like much fun, it's the sounds that carry it through, nailing one by one with unique hooks that prick the ear and leave a bright stain. For a man with such a body of work behind him, like it or not he's got a future in store for the rest of us.
"it's so easy when your friends are dead".......2007-05-29
If The Futureheads stopped being british and turned up the punk knob this might happen...maybe not. Either way this is very catchy late 70's/early 80's type punk perfected all the way down to the production. Simple, raw, and full of youth. I am reminded of the Buzzcocks, Richard Hell, and Wire...basically the greats. It's been a while since something of this caliber has been released and could still be considered "punk". The lyrics are brimming with drunken fun and lack of inhabitions as well (see the title of this review). It would be pretty punk to steal this album, but it would be even more punk to buy something from someone who has definitely created something great.
EASILY the BEST release of 2006!!!.......2007-05-18
I don't know exactly what to say to sum this album up in a succinct fashion. When I first saw it, I thought it looked a little too much like the cover of the DWARVES cd, "Blood, Guts, and Pu**y", but it came highly recommended by a friend who's taste I trust. After just the opening chords of the title track, I was completely turned inside out. It just struck something inside me and I knew this was going to take over my cd player & iPod. Six months later and I'm STILL playing this in heavy rotation. I'm really surprised it didn't just hit REALLY big, because it seems to have the necessary elements of a megahit, not unlike NIRVANA's "Bleach" when it was first released in 1989.
Jay Reatard captures all that's great about the 70s/80s punk/new-wave sound ala DEVO, THE WIPERS, WIRE, GARY NUMAN, etc. It has a really great rhythm throughout and just the fact that he plays every instrument & produced every bit of this himself is impressive unto itself.
His other bands are excellent as well (there's only about 20 of them). If you like what you hear be sure to check out LOST SOUNDS which is his band with female punk demigodess, Alicja Trout.
Sometimes it pays to listen........2007-03-28
I try not to buy albums without hearing them first, but it does seem thats how I find my favorites. After reading a good bit about Mr. Reatard's Blood Visions, I gave it a shot. What da ya know? I love it.
I've read a lot of reviews calling this new wave/garage rock. I guess that fits well enough, but Jay is way ahead of the rest. Songs that suck you into their passionate delivery and beat, while at the same time not being overly emo, are hard to come by. Half Stooges/half radio pop with a lot of seasoning from all over the spectrum, Blood Visions hits the nail on the head.
WOW!!!!.......2007-03-06
This is one of the greatest punk albums of all time. Seriously.
I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
