Editorial Reviews
Product Description
In this CD we have brought together "all the people who walk the streets singing without asking permission from anyone", as the famous Mexican Writer Gustavo Sainz stated in the introduction. A unique testimony preserving the music found while walking through Mexico City, going from hand organ, to mariachi, to music performed with a leaf of a tree, and including the middle of the day, as announced by the bell of the Main Cathedral in Mexico City.

5 out of 5 stars This recording is priceless!.......2000-04-28

This is a great compillation of music you would hear just walking around in Mexico City, the greatest city on earth! The opening track brings back my childhood memories of the organ grinders that still roam this great city. If you have ever visited this city (I spent 12 years there) this recording will immediately transport you back there. A must have!

    5 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT.......1999-03-13
