Great Sound.......2002-12-06

Early 1993, this choir was one of the best in its class. This CD was recorded and released within a year that they won much acclaim, and the prestigious Radio Award, as well as touring North america.
The sound is perfect, a great gift to anyone who enjoys choral work.

Not very satifactory!.......2003-04-23

I like most of the songs by Dan Peek when he was in America because they had a folk-rock style. In this album, I cannot find any song that can be compared with his America songs or even his earlier solo work. The songs in this album are less melodic. When Dan tried to rock in this album, I felt that the ultimate outcome is less satisfactory.

This may be Dan's best work as a solo artist. The music has a harder edge to it than most of his other albums. It is more like his work on the second Peace CD (which I really liked) than anything else. It has the energy level of a live performance. The only drawback is the packaging isn't as polished as his other releases - but it's the music that counts and the quality of the music is GREAT! Highly recommended!

Quickly becoming one of my favorite CD's. The first 5 tracks are what we have always expected from Dan Peek. The shift away from Gospel\Christian was someone surprising given his transformation to this genre as a solo artist to this date,(though this was evident in his America tunes as well). All any America\Dan Peek fan can hope for is that Dan keeps it coming!

This CD is just great. It is inspirational; really touches my soul. Even better, my kids love it! Imagine, music that the entire family can enjoy! The talent of these musicians, and their passion for music really comes through.

Rockin' Regardless of Faith.......2005-11-07

I listen to a wide range of music but have to admit that Christian rock is not one of my default settings. However, after listening to this CD I was amazed at how well written the songs are, how professional the prodution is and what a wonderful band One Mile Down is. The songs are great, the musicianship inspiring and the musical experience well worth the money and time. I highly recommend this disk to anyone looking for great music.

This CD is great and a hit with the whole family. The vocals are fabulous and the music is very inspirational. I'm not much of a Christian Rock listener, but I really enjoy the music of One Mile Down. I highly recommend it.

Many A Mile.......2001-07-18

This is Buffy Sainte-Marie's second album and I am thrilled it is FINALLY available on CD. The first song is a traditional folk song entitled "Must I Go Bound" which with Buffy's unique and spellbinding voice creates a truly magical tune, tinged with sadness. The Southern spirtual song "Lazurus" is also to be noted...with very little instrumental background, except for the clap of Buffy's hands. There is also an Irish Ballad called "On the Banks of Red Roses" which is wonderful as well. If you are familiar with Buffy's work, you will have to buy this CD for your collection.
