My 11 month old relaxes and finally gets to sleep without the usual fussies. We play this during his nap and bedtime wind down and it almost puts me to sleep!

    IMO, this is Michael Henderson's best cd/lp. Henderson was a major force during his run in the 70's and 80's and he was never better than Goin Places.

    Michael Henderson is One of those Musicians that you feel everyone should know about. the Brother started out way back in the day doing session work&then made a Solo Career.this Album is tight.Vocals are on Point.strogn arrangements&production.     Micheal Henderson is one of the best,yet least know bass players in the world. The is Micheal at his best with songs like "let me love you." Micheal bass riff in that song has been sampled by numerous r&b and hip hop acts! This is just an all around classic piece of music.

    a writer, a guitarist and a soloist on many of norman conners' productions, micheal henderson is truly one of the great r&b crooners. velvet-voiced with a subtle falsetto at times, he brings his fluid style to the listener. Let Me Love You asks without begging and he shines on the duet At The Concert with the fabulous Roberta Flack. This cd is definitely a mellow gem in my collection

      If you love the sounds of the wind through grass or through trees this cd has what your looking for. Not every track are wind sounds but there are a few that have nice soothing sounds to sleep with.

            Sainte-Marie's final effort for Vanguard never received its due, as it lacked the hit singles of its predecessor, Moonshot. However, to many fans, Quiet Places contains several classics. The uplifting title track and the ethereal "Jewels of Hanalei" are often cited as fan favorites, while "Just That Kind of Man" would have surely been a huge hit, as it is one of her most accessible, radio friendly recordings. Her covers of Carole King's "Eventually" and Joni Mitchell's "For Free" also had hit single potential in 1973, when the album was released. The criticism that Buffy endured for working with rock bands on this and other albums was entirely overblown. She and her contemporaries had been branching out to other styles for many years at that point.(notably Bob Dylan's infamous "going electric" in the 60's) Quiet Places certainly deserves another look (and listen).
