After three years of tossing and turning in anticipation of a new Enrique Iglesias disc, fans of the Latin superstar may find themselves losing still more sleep over early reviews that take Insomniac to task for straying too far from the sound that launched him to the loverman stratosphere. No need, though. Despite the presence of Lil' Wayne on the ultra-steamy, street-edged "Push" and some unapologetically catchy pop tunes any male singer, ethnicity aside, could have fun with ("Do You Know," for example, and "Tired of Being Sorry," a Ringside re-tread), white-hot machismo and Latin charm permeate Insomniac reliably. "Little Girl" sends out liquid-eyed outpourings of love to the ladies, "Don't You Forget About Me" delivers a sweet lament over a melting guitar line, and three late Spanish-language tracks--though they're just translations of English versions that preceded them--manage to lift the whole thing into a romantic shangri-la. If it's a peppier shangri-la than normal, chalk it up to No-Doz; Iglesias admits in the liner notes that he, himself, is the insomniac the disc was named for. --Tammy La Gorce
Album Description
Enrique Iglesias has sold 40 million albums in a little over a decade, becoming one of the most successful artists in the history of popular music. He has spent the past three years crafting his latest album.
Entitled "Insomniac," a humorous nod to Enrique's sleepless nights and obsessive artistic persona, the record is clearly the most ambitious project of his phenomenal career.

Fabulous.......2007-08-01
He is always one step ahead! This is absolutely super to listen too. A real tear jerker too!
Insomniac CD.......2007-07-29
Great CD, has great tunes by a great artist. Another must get album from Enrique!!!!
check this stuff from europe.......2007-07-24
Pretty good album. Anyone who likes this should check out a compilation series on iTunes called "Euro Club Hits" ... (there's a vol. 1, vol. 2, vol. 3, etc. etc.)...... So much of current club music in the USA is based in the stuff coming out of Europe, and yet nobody seems to know of it and the radio doesn't play it here! So I'm taking it as my personal mission to introduce everyone to it as best I can ...... "Euro Club Hits" -- it's only on the digital services for some reason -- iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Emusic, etc. etc.
great.......2007-07-16
as usual, Enrique is awesome. Some of the songs are a little artsy and you can tell he was experimenting...a bit too much if you ask me. but in general, Enrique always delivers.
Very happy.......2007-07-15
I love Erique Iglesias' new CD. It's beautiful and smooth. I think he's a very talented song writer and singer.

Album Description
The years best underground hip hop compilation hosted by the hottest DJ, Tony Touch. Features 19 hot Hip Hop tracks from the best underground artists.
Customer Reviews:
This CD is on point!.......2001-03-12
The artists on this CD are awesome. Real hip hop with out all of the negative rap. The beats are really good too. I reccomend this CD if you are looking for quality underground hip hop music.
a lot of good hip hop, a litlle of tony touch.......2001-02-17
if you, as myself, went crazy on tony touch's "the piece maker" cd, and want to buy another tony touch cd - this is the wrong place. tony touch is just introducing the songs on this cd - not producing them. anyhow, after the early dissapointment i sat down to listen to this cd and found some real good underground hiphop - amazing tracks by loose cannons, joefinite, drastic meassures and tony arafat, are creating a smooth collection of talents, and a fun cd to listen too. enjoy!
Fat beats, dope rhymes and mad skills........1999-10-12
This CD is loaded with some of the best underground hip hop artists I've heard in a long time. My favs are Drastic Measures (they have that track with Cappadonna), Loose Cannons, Magic Juan (he just did a track on the Beatnuts Album), and Tony Arafat. These guys are on top of the game when it comes to the underground. They put it down the right way.
This is one of the best hip hop joints I've heard in a while.......1999-10-12
This is a hot project. Brilliant idea to mix hot artists with even fatter ones. I would tell you that this cd is strictly for those that like real hip hop.
Can't mix a good beat.......1999-06-30
Can't sleep on the streets, eh? Well this 'artist' better get used to it, cause this 'album' blows chow.

Customer Reviews:
Surprise !.......2002-05-02
After listening to this CD I was very surprised. Most of the songs are very well written and very well performed. Vale's (female vocals) voice is strong yet soothing. The sound is definitely unique - a kind of old world meets newish style.
I'm a believer.......2002-05-02
I was asked to listen to Insomniac Dance and thought what the heck, thinking begrudingly I'm definitely not going to like this. Much to my surprise, this folksy, Celtic music not only made me relax and breath a minute, out of my crazed and stressed out life, it actual made me stop and listen to the words and as corny as this can get, made me happy. You heard it here. The songs song by Valeria are beautiful, her voice is enchanting and the music is incredible. There actually is a small twist of eclectic music at the end which was a delightful surprise!! I'm really glad I took the time to listen, I can't stop playing the CD to and from work now to unwind.
GREAT GREAT GREAT.......2002-04-20
This is a wonderful CD from a great band. Keep up the good work!
Insomniac Dance.......2002-04-16
It's amazing how much like Natalie Merchant Vale sounds like. The album is very moving. It's good cruising in the car music.
I enjoy listening to it. Keep up the good work. Thanks!
A wonderful second album.......2002-03-04
"Insomniac Dance" is a wonderful album that I will always keep on the top shelf of my CD rack. No matter how many times I listen to the songs, they never get old. Ellipsis steers clear of the one-hit wonder album by providing songs with catchy (but not monotonously boring) lyrics. Also, they utilize their extensive musical knowledge to provide the listeners with songs that vary both in style and instrumentation.
This trio of talented musicians has succeeded in releasing a second album that shows off their development as a band. They have beautiful three-part harmony on several of their songs, they have added piano into their arrangements, and as always their lyrics speak to the listener.
If you ever get the chance to hear their music live, it is quite a treat. There is a certain element in their music that sounds beautiful on CD and even better live. When you find yourself singing along to every single song at one of their concerts, then you will know the true meaning of a great album.
