About the Artist
Geraldine has been singing all her life. Although her voice is often compared to Joan Baez, Geraldine sings with a passion and honesty all her own. She has been active in musical theater and choral groups for over 20 years and has studied voice, piano and guitar for over a decade. It has only been in the last few years, however, that Geraldine has started playing and working at her favorite kind of music, folk, and it is in this style of music that she really shines.

Geraldine is a gifted songwriter. Tender looks at family life, relationships and the crazy world we live in are told with meaningful lyrics, memorable melodies and spiced with humor. Some of her influences are Joni Mitchell, Gillian Welch and Dar Williams. Geraldine attends the Rocky Mountain Song School each year, and has studied with some of the genre's finest talent, including Tom Paxton, Peter Himmelman and Beth Nielsen Chapman.

“A Pearl in You”, Geraldine's debut CD, released December, 1999 on her own label, is an eclectic collection of original songs produced by Dick Gimble, son of renowned Texas fiddler, Johnny Gimble. Geraldine has appeared on “The All You Can Eat Texas Music Café,” a PBS television show, filmed in Waco, TX, showcasing fresh songwriting talent.

Geraldine was born 1964 in Brooklyn, N.Y., raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey, graduated from the University of Vermont in 1986 and migrated to Colorado in 1987 where she lived for thirteen years. Geraldine recently returned to the Northeast.

Her debut album, "A Pearl In You" is stories of love, family and our crazy world, told with meaningful lyrics, memorable melodies and spiced with humor. Geraldine's pure voice blends beautifully with her guitar and backing instruments of mandolin, cello and banjo, creating a truly great listen.
