Customer Reviews:
beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.......2005-12-21
I had this on cassette tape years ago, and even made a copy of it, but the original went missing (I wonder who else liked it??) and my copy got a bit messed up when I played it in a funky boom box. Now I can get a new CD with my favorite pieces. I often put this on for going to sleep, and would have a more restful sleep because of it. During daytime hours, it is soothing and peaceful and makes the day seem more beautiful. All this time I've been missing this music, and finally I'm getting around to replacing it!! Well, I don't claim to be smart OR organized....

While browsing in a music store, I was taken with the music playing in the background. I asked one of the employees about the CD and he explained it was Philip Boulding, but, unfortunately, they did not carry the CD in stock. He went on to explain that they play the CD all the time, because of how much they like it. Hmmm - I wondered - you and the rest of the staff like it and play it all the time - yet, you don't carry it. I bit my tongue before suggesting that this struck me as moronic, and I ordered the CD. It took me almost a month to get it. (I didn't think to use Amazon)
Anyhow, I play this CD in its entirety 2 or 3 times a week and it does not grow old. Interesting, unique and beautifully produced, you will like it, if you like string instruments.

Relaxing and unusual.......1999-01-31
What a gem - I was lucky enough to run across this rare cd a couple of years ago. I bought it and it soon became one of my very favorites for its unique harp. Mind you - I've never been a fan of the harp necessarily; but the way Mr. Boulding plays it - I could listen for hours and not get tired of it. You want be dissapointed.
