Soft in the heart.........2001-03-02

Because anyone who actually listens to Mr.Lee,and the cymbals would understand.100%,Heart warming and makes me think of all the wrong that ive done.Lee has a beautiful voice.So when you listen to this expect yourself to sing along."I LOVE YOU MORE" &"ILL BE GONE",are probably the two best.but it does'nt mean i dont like the rest.Being this artist is'nt really reconized for his outstanding music!I think is odd. I actually think his music is so great,I find myself listening to it over and over again.Everthing Lee sings about is all positive!The way he expresses his love in his music would make you want to do the same.I recomend this album to anyone who likes love songs,oldies,who has sadness in thier lives and who just like what I said about it."Lee Williams & The Cymbals" great music,keep up the great work!! (24') Taken from 78s, this is a fine selection of Lead Belly guitar/vocal solos, but with generally quite poor sound. Four of the ten tracks given here are duplicated on either "Vols. 1 & 2" COL5603 (52') or "Vols. 3 & 4" COL5604 (54') of Collectables' "Lead Belly Memorial" 2-CD series, which is a much better buy; the other six are unique on Collectables CDs. All of the "Memorial" tracks were originally recorded by Moses Asch in his studio, and his pressings went to Stinson Records as a result of Asch's Folkways bankruptcy; however, Asch's masters are now at the Smithsonian, which has produced its own "Lead Belly Legacy" series of CDs. The 6 unique tracks on this CD appear not to be Asch recordings, but I haven't tried to verify this.
